  • 6 weeks after the MCL injury and I am finally feeling better and starting to skate without too much MCL pain. Landed some nice 180's and got some backwards skating in. The backwards skating is going well and I am having a lot of fun with it.

Nice, I just got back into doing frontsides. Was kind of scared of them for a while. Got quite consistent on soul grinds, but for some reason, frontsides freaked me out a little.

They still scare me, especially now with the MCL issue hopefully behind me. Today's p-rail video with the frontsides scared me, I was terrified of my legs doing the splits. The soul grinds seem so much easier technically, but are extremely painful for me especially if I miss locking on. I have rebuilt my p-rail and hope to work on those now. Stay at it and stay safe!

Glad youre feeling better! Where is home? I have family in Burlington, NC and would love to get a sesh in next time I'm there! I'm sure you're super busy, but you've been inspiring in my own journey back to blading.

We are in Lexington NC, that's the park you see in most of the videos. Would love to skate together some time!

if I may make a suggestion. If you do not freeride/inline on roller skates, it might be fun to do it as well. for condition on the rollerblades and to gain more control. that you get more convertible on your skates, and I don't mean that they are comfortable. but that's important too.(not that you are not in shape, but on skates). but it's great what you're doing and take care of yourself. and have a lot of fun. I rollerblade(aggressive) a lot with my kids as well.

I would love to go out skating around town, but I really need to get my stops perfected before I do that. Right now I am not very good at stopping and the thought of skating around town is scary. I am working on the stops a little each time I skate, but still a ways to go. Skating with my son is awesome and I'm glad you get to do it with your kids as well!
