My great great grandfather,great grandfather,& grandfather were from shafter. Took supplies marfa to shafter in a wagon with a team of mules.They left around 1917.We visited 2017.Also visited Presidió. Some of our family live there also.A lot of history.
I haven't been to Marfa in years but what a beautiful place. I love that high desert. And Fort Davis area is wonderful, thats where the observatory is, up in the mountains. Fort Davis is one of the best places to see the stars. The sky is so clear at night.

We stayed in Fort Davis and drove to Marfa during the day. This is 100% accurate, and if you drive an EV, there is a destination charger for Tesla in both Fort Davis and Marfa, and a Supercharger in Alpine. If you want to go to Big Bend, there is a new Supercharger under construction.
I live 26 miles from Marfa and drive there occasionally to attend mass there. Marfa is too hyped up, weird and too expensive. Presidio is a nice place to visit.
Facts. I live here and avoid it
Always a good video John, we did see what we call the northern light. My gg grandfather is buried in hope New Mexico. G grandfather is buried in artesia n Mexico.. Grandfather in central California. Thanks.

Marfa sucks. Very disappointing. Not a drinker and not much to do for my type. Alpine and Tarlingue are way cooler. Highly recommend those two towns. Also Prada is an hour round trip outide of Marfa. Not in Marfa.

Kind of giving a woke history of here, you forgot it was part of Spain first before it was inherited by Mexico.. I can go into full detail, but your history is completely wrong! Stop half assing it!
