//GEAR I USE
📸 Cameras:
---------------------------------------------------
I get a lot of questions about the cameras I use. Here are my main cameras:
• [GoPro Hero 11](amzn.to/3q8Fpzw)
This is the most durable camera. It withstands the elements and can go places other cameras can’t. There are so many accessories available for GoPro cameras which makes them endlessly customizable and versatile.
• [DJI Pocket 2](amzn.to/3rLGGwT)
This little handheld camera is very easy to pack and carry with you because of its size.
🔋 Other useful tech:
---------------------------------------------------
• [DJI OM 6](amzn.to/3Y5LnxL)
• [GoPro Suction Cup Mount](amzn.to/3DqLMkN)
• [GoPro Enduro Battery](amzn.to/3K9BnOr)
• [Anker USB-C Cable](amzn.to/3Kb5Rzg)
• [Anker USB-C Power Bank](amzn.to/3OopBSM)
• [Samsung Micro SD Card 512 GB](amzn.to/3DmszAZ)
• [Sandisk 2TB SSD Portable SSD](amzn.to/43D57tJ)
✈️ Travel gear I like:
---------------------------------------------------
• [Peak Design Travel Duffel](amzn.to/3Q9fgv7)
• [Bellroy Lite Duffel](amzn.to/44Yssai)
• [Peak Design Tech Pouch](amzn.to/3DoKNBB)
• [Bellroy Tech Kit](amzn.to/3DrjXsQ)

I love Alpine, and its people are just super friendly and kind.
Love how this channel just shows an area to you, free from comment. Relaxing. 😊
Each place speaks for itself.
this is great because next year my mom is going to take me and my brother and were gonna live in texas
The earth is full of exceptional places! Thank you very much for helping me discover them!
Merci ! 😁
Thank you!
Nice video. I first moved to Alpine in ‘85 as a college student. Moved back with my wife and taught school ‘93-96. Left to pursue bigger things. Have gone back to visit many times. Would like to retire there.
I never been to Alpine TX before and it's probably a 10 or 11 hour trip from Beaumont TX
more like 12hrs
An astronomers nirvana
For sure!
Nice drive friend
Thank you!
Looks like a nice place to retire.
*Great♥️*
Thank you!
Marfa down the road aways is another freak show town...unless your'e a hippie or leftie
Hahaha that's funny...are there any hippies left anymore?
I'll be there next week!
I hope you have a great time in Alpine! Are you going to Big Bend as well?
@@DeceleratedTravel No, not this trip. My family is from the Big Bend area though. I've been numerous times. My family have lived in Brewster Country, Chihuahua for hundreds of years.
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀
At min 4:39 I see a Stripes gas station, gas $2.27... How long ago was this filmed?
November 2020
😎👍
are there any rental houses or apartments.. if so are they affodable
housing is very expensive all the border patrol live in alpine there is a collage and lots of retirees since people retire here and have for many generations the housing prices are not really tied to local income potential to 500k house and 16 bucks an hr pay
nope
I WAS JUST THERE AND SEEN THIS MASSION ON FIRE, BURN TO THE GROUND REAL FAST
why no audio??
No traffic whatsoever
The only time we have traffic is when the train comes through. We are one of the few towns that Amtrak still comes through.
@@Sabbathissaturday very interesting. I’m from the tiny town of
Horizon City Texas. My town is a 💩 hole compared to Alpine.
@@filthyanimal874 - you’re near El Paso right? I lived in Pecos for several years. Seems like I remember seeing Horizon when I was looking at places to buy in far west Texas.
@@Sabbathissaturday yeah buddy it’s very close to El Paso. Horizon City is just south east of EP. Pretty soon El Paso will swallow up Horizon City and it will be forever gone. El Paso is growing fast unfortunately.
Where are the people?
ok i spent a little time in this town so i would like to give my perspective.now before i begin,i understand my experience is totally unique so this is not a one-size-fits-all indicator of what youll experience.first,be warned-you WILL need a car to experience Alpine,no rideshare,no taxis.yes i understand its a small town but ive been to smaller towns that did have at least some existent taxi service and at least one lyft or uber driver.second, just because its a small town doesnt necessarily mean the people are going to be friendly.im a native Texan and conservative so you would think i would fit right in-wrong.most,not all,the people i met were while not necessarily rude were not altogether friendly either.which brings me to my third point, the older man with the silver hair who works the KC corner store is an outright a-hole.just because you hate your life doesnt mean you have to go making other peoples lives miserable.the guy was a grouchy blowhard par excellance.fourth, the Holiday Inn up the road from Dairy Queen is actually more expensive to stay in than a Holiday Inn in a big city.also, you can hear everything at that Alpine Holiday Inn-everything.my grade for alpine:F-
Alpine is a resort tourist town those are always more expensive then the city
Lots of wierdos and strange people out here
