I went to a Chinese buffet when I was very young, and I really liked those sugared cake donuts that seem to be at every Chinese buffet. Except that one time, they had salted the donuts by mistake. You go in, expecting at least almost-mediocre donuts, but them shits is salted.

Every time i listen to Snake Eyes i get scared. I get scared that the only thing i'm ever gonna hear is the goofy ass beat she uses through the entire song, and that her sorry ass excuse for a flow gets burned into my brain so i can never forget it. This song legitimately handicaps my mind and makes me unable to stop the suffering that is thinking about it. When i try to listen to anything else i'm afraid i won't be able to enjoy it at all because of the damage left by Snake Eyes. I can't believe someone can have such a terrible discography and still get any kind of positivity. I hate V-tubers and everything that has to do with them, i hate the people who consume their products and lust over them. I hate the entire Demondice persona. All of her album covers make my blood boil with hatred. Her character is so stupid, the way she just thought making some kind of shitty narcissist evil crazy demon was a good idea. Demondice and everything about her down to every last detail makes me feel something shitty and damaging, it affects me in such a negative way as a direct consequence of every creative choice she makes. I can't stand any of her songs at all, not only for the terrible instrumentals but also for the theatrics that create no atmosphere at all. Her lyrics are so infuriatingly bad i can't believe a human being with a brain that works in the same way as any other could have made them up.

I started this video with the maximum amount of charity for Demondice. I will defend outsider artists with all my heart and I never really heard her stuff before so I was like "what the hell, it's probably not that bad". But this is something else. The flow is all over the place, some instrumentals seem genuinely good or interesting but it seems like they're not fully or properly utilized, and her vocals, while definitely having potential, could use some training. The lyrics on the other hand are a complete miss. They sound like someone who hasn't heard a rap song in their life badly translated the Gantz opening and then tried to perform it completely off beat. They don't have the humour of other similar artists like Ninja Sex Party or projects like Starship Velociraptor, and they don't have the smarts or commentary of lyrics written by artists like Kae Tempest, Zheani, or Ashnikko.
And you know what, all of that would've been perfectly fine and it wouldn't warrant criticism if Demondice was doing this purely for fun and that fun and enjoyment came through more in her music. But what bothers me about this artist is her constant need to put down rap and hip hop as a whole. This insistance to act like all rap/hip hop is just gangsters talking about their bitches and money and shooting each other is ignorant at best and racist at worst. White rappers making their entire brand about being "smart" and "critical of society" unlike those other "lowly" gangster rappers, and then acting shocked and hurt when people rightfully aren't having their shit is the oldest, most tired, and shittiest thing in the rap/hip hop game and it's so disappointing that she keeps doing it over and over again. If you really don't like rap that much, why are you even doing it? What do you get out of this? What's the point? You just cannot arrogantly claim your lyrics and commentary are fresh and new and different when you clearly know nothing about rap music. You cannot use the staples of rap and its slang while being so disrespectful of its history and roots. I truly see space for improvement but she really needs to stop doing this.

This feels like she has maybe four ideas but she can't figure out how to make a song at all, so she's just pumping out attempts at that one perfect song or EP. Ideas: White suburban girl who likes rap and wants to rap. White suburban girl feels like an outsider in her hometown in America. Moving to Japan only to discover that foreigners in Japan are outsiders. Building an alter ego to escape to the internet.
The real issue is that she's just trying the same kind of thing over and over without actually practicing the base skills. There's an entire school of language study related to meter. You can use that understanding to learn flow even if you can't get it by ear, and then use that understanding to help write and structure lyrics. Like if you want triplet flow, you can write lines that are five groups of three syllables and then tell a producer you need a beat that's in five groups of three. Then you just practice your triplet flow. Snoop might hate triplet flow because it's easy, but it's super simple to learn.
