Let’s agree: Anthony needs to start a podcast with guests like NFR
I mean he does interviews but it’s usually singularly about the person like it’s an interview
melon used to have a podcast idk why he stopped
I feel like he has nice enough of a voice for podcasting, and he knows enough about things to talk for hours.

Was pleasantly unsurprised to see 'The Big Day' at No. 1! Glad melonhead appreciates variation and beauty in music at it's finest! Brilliant ranking!
he loves his wife what can he say
Wow. So funny and original🤦🏼♂️
You can tell from Anthony's list that he is someone that really appreciates when artists are experimental and original. CLPPNG was probably my entry to listening to more experimental hip-hop. Death Grips and JPEGMAFIA are artists I learned about through Anthony's reviews and I have come to super appreciate those artists. It's really nice to hear something different when a lot of rap is very homogenous.
I also appreciate the love shown to Tribe Called Quest and Joey Badass by the NFR guys. Those were fantastic projects too. I would give B4.da.$$ an honourable mention even though 1999 is probably better. TPAB is a classic as is GKMC. Kendrick is the undisputed king of the 2010s.
I think Ye would be a decent runner up with all his production credits, MBDTF, KSG, and general influence
B4.da.$$ is so underrated
Yeah and I really respected that Big KRIT placement too, such a stellar, underrated album front to back
Yeah doesn't matter if they rapping about having dicks as big as penguins with a vocoder over an accordion, would be top 10 😂
As a relative hip-hop outsider, I appreciate this course in contemporary rhymes
How should we decorate the set for the interview today, Lu?
I dunno, maybe books to the left, books to the right, books in the background?
Fire.
I got so happy seeing the background, knowing you were with NFR gang.

Fun video! I like the podcast format for you anthony. It seems GKMC really grew on you over the years
Hoping for another DEHH collab soon too. Love these guys/your collabs in general
How the hell did Kids See Ghosts not make anyone's list? Anthony even gave it a 10, expected it to be on his list.
You can tell he wanted to include a variety of artists and albums that he connects with on a deeper level than kanye and cudi

Amazing lists from all 3! GKMC & TPAB got the love they rightfully they deserved. Kendrick’s era!
Loved seeing melon pick a big krit album. He remains one of the most underrated rapper in recent memory
i love that these guys are giving so much love to undun. my top 2, right next to TPAB
I liked some of your picks to be sure - but I feel maybe just change the perspective a bit by having someone much younger or older comment on their thoughts. The 2010's in hip hop was a slow but rewarding adventure for me (age 54) as an old school hip hop fan who viewed 1981-1995 as a golden age. It's not a criticism of your content - I like it, but its something even I want to change a bit on my channel.
But for fun I have;
Kanye - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Run the Jewels - 2
Kendrick has 2 with - To Pimp a Butterfly and good kid m.a.a.d. City
Pusha T - Daytona (although his new one 'It's Almost Dry' is better)
A Tribe Called Quest - You Got It From Here...
Death Grips - The Money Store
Jay Z and Kanye - Watch the Throne
Future - DS2
Danny Brown - XXX
I may be just locked in on some obvious picks but artist like Drake just don't appeal to me at all. He is hip hop for 14 year old High School Girls.
i imagine this is how most of Fantano's conversations go with late twenty white guys
Happy that Rodeo made it to the Top 10 from one of the guys and had honorable mention from the other two, Rodeo is at least a Top 20 album of the 2010's decade.
It’s my personal fav (look at my pfp) and it’s by no means the best but it’s insanely influential and the sounds are stuff as new as something Kanye would make in in love help ahhhhhh
I was so happy to hear melon mention that big krit album. Bangers all around
“It’s a slapper in context of the track list” 💀
Bro, PLEASE let there be similar videos for the 2000s and 1990s
2000s would be all MF DOOM albums
90s: Illmatic
I seriously think these 3 should just have a podcast together. I prefer this to all of their content honestly.
I would love this same kind of discussion over the 2000s or 90s
luc and ant NFR have some kind of similar lists, further proving how they have that chemistry which ultimately birthed a podcast together
respect for mentioning the roots and tribe called quest. those two records do not get the recognition it truly deserves, especially Undun!
i was surprised by the clippng placement, i love that album so much but i wasnt expecting fantano to put it above pinata
Theres a running joke in my fam that I only listen to alarm clocks cuz i listened to Get Up in my room a lil too loudly lmao. Such a great album

Billy Woods Hiding Places in my top 5.
Roc Marciano Reloaded too. Was very influential and brought back that style of hip hop with a drumless twist
Billy woods the king of the underground. Hes way too slept on
Ive followed melon for several years now, having a long lasting love-hate relationship with him. I'm familiar with NFR through clips of their podcast. This combination is just marvelous. A more centered Anthony plus NFR talking more underground and least mainstream shit.
Let me guess. Logic fan?
Nfr talking more underground?? Wtf
nfr more underground?????
This video was actually really interesting, very revealing and deeply insightful... not in regards to whatever they're talking about, but in regards to the fact that it showed us - categorically - that Fantano doesn't actually know how to tie shoe laces properly (or at all).
This was a really fact to learn. Thank you.
good to see saturation I II and III made your top 3!
clipping being here is such a monumental W
Kids See Ghosts, At Long Last A$ap, Passion Pain Demon Slayin, Malibu, and Forest Hills Drive all deserved an honorable mention at least.
is malibu a rap album though
Forest hills drive not being mentioned is a crime
PP&DS does not deserve an honorable mention most of the tracks are way too long and drawn out
He doesn't like J Cole much
@@user-zo5jo3ox5gJ Cole horrible
Didn’t expect to see Yeezus at #1 but I’m glad you changed your mind!
yeezus is #1
It should be realistically
These NFR collaborations are always entertaining to watch
Can i ask what do you find entertaining about it?
@@unmixedunmastered2810I’ve enjoyed both of their channels, and to see them interact is just a treat to see
@@theboi5584they both dont call out Melon's trash Hipster opinions enough tbf
nah these guys are trash
Uhhhh Anthony? Ed Sheeran is not a rapper
I can’t believe he just picked 10 Sheeran singles and said “They’re as good as albums”
my top 10
1. To Pimp a Butterfly
2. Flowerboy
3. LP!
4. Kids See Ghosts
5. The Money Store
6. IGOR
7. Good Kid m.A.A.d City
8. Pinata
9. Yeezus
10. Orpheus vs. the Sirens
Hell yeah love the clipping inclusion from the melon, one of my favorite musical groups of all time they deserve so much love
pls do another of these for the 2020s so far
it would be so surprising if the latter half of Fantano's list actually goes CRAZY.
Can't believe 3 top 10 lists and multiple honorable mentions, and not one Run the Jewels album mentioned. Just had to make room for two Death Grips records!
Death Grips isn’t for everyone but Exmilitary and Money Store are better than every single RTJ album
TIL Daveed Diggs is/was the vocalist of Clipping. How did I not know this before? I must listen to the album now
Nice to see clipping in the list!
Always love to see NFR crossovers
No injury reserve is crazy to me. Really thought Anthony would have put that on there
their best album isn’t really rap unfortunately
these guys know their stuff I didn't realise
damn fantano you fitted af for this video had to stunt on the nfr gang
