    I love the way the haters always claim Carl Lewis took drugs , NO ONE ever states WHICH drug it is he took and was it a banned drug ? Fact is he only tested positive for a drug also used by cheats to mask steroid intake but once proved he had no BANNED substances in his system, he was allowed to compete . We know what Ben took, stanozolol . Let's stop hating without FACTS. Thing is , what he took is also a remedy for other things and he was able to prove that it in no way enhanced his performance .

      I never commented on Armstrong , this was about Carl Lewis , different sports dfferent people . We know what Armstrong took , we don't have facts that Carl took banned substances and until you can specify and show us what you imagine he took, you need to just hold your peace and accept Carl was the great champion he was.

    • @Juluka69
      @Juluka69 9 лет назад +2

      Hans Wurst
      With all due respects Mr. Hans , it is guys like you who spread false information purporting to be in the know yet you are not. FACT - Carl Lewis was at no time tested positive for any banned substance , if you disagree give us dates , where and WHAT he tested positive for . Surely are you telling us the IAAF is so compromised it would allow a guy who is a known drug user to compete ? and so why didn't they also allow Ben Johnson if that's the rationale ? Armstrong used steroids mostly in Tour de France where he only had to deal with ONE LAB that does all the testing for that competition. Carl Lewis on the other hand competed in over ten countries where different labs often tested him . If you had some rudimentary knowledge on steroid use , you'd know that the body of a steroid user changes drastically with use , take a look at Ben Johnson in LA84 then compare his frame in 88 and you get what am saying. You could also observe Linford Christie b4 and after then check Carl , his body is basically the same in 84 all through to 92 . Please stop jumping into some bandwagons that are just geared to assassinate characters.

      You can believe what you want Mr. Hurst . NOt everyone who uses steroids becomes a world beater , steroids do not add to your God given talent so it's perfectly possible a juiced athlete could be beaten hands down by a clean one. So are you telling me even Usain Bolt is on the juice ??? Carl Lewis NEVER admitted any ILLEGAL drug use . The so called failed drug tests by US athletes in 84 was merely an ALLEGATION , call me naive or whatever but THAT is the FACT. Could never be proved in any court of law could it ? Lots of guys merely talk to gain attention and whip up a controversy to feel relevant . Where it could be proved like the Marion Jones case , it was and who tells you one can not compete in 4 events and win unless juiced ? So was Jesse Owens juiced ? Was Daley Thompson juiced ? If you can't offer us some PROOF, just accept and shut up...

      With all due respects Mr. Hans , we will just have to agree to disagree on this one . Checked out your so called "proof" and sorry it proves NOTHING. Failing a drug test does NOT mean STEROID use , you can fail a test for using a simple over the counter cold remedy with say ephedrine or even the thousands of readily available food supplements commonly used but contain small degrees of substances banned not for their performance enhancement properties if any. Carl was a victim of such n because the substances found in his blood did not give him any performance advantage, the authorities saw it fit to allow him to compete . He did not use STEROIDS like some of the other guys did and that's my point. Show me where him or anyone PROVES he used ANABOLIC STEROIDS ..... I rest my case..

    Probably Carl Lewis would have won over Christie, Fredericks and Marsch in the individual events. Carl Lewis was the greatest athlete ever, better than Bolt IMHO.

      And Bolt is way better in sprinters than Lewis. He dominated longer, he dominate more, he was way more dominant in the 200, and better even in the 100. Carl has a case to be better overall since he also dominated the long jump for 15 years in addition to being one of the best ever sprinters, super hard to do, but in just sprinting Bolt is way ahead.
