I’ve been thinking about this route a lot recently. My brain immediately concocts a possibility where he and Trucy go to the same school (since canonically she’s just like a year younger than Pearl and Cody) and maybe he wants to become a stuntman so Trucy asks him for help with a trick for her new show in AA7? 👀
Polly the Parrot makes a return in the second case of investigations 2 in the far left of the main prison area of the second case, you can see a parrot that resembles Polly
3:33 Polly actually appears in The Inprisoned Tournabout in the left most corner of the map in the location were the player 1st meets Jay Elbird. Also wasn't Sal Monella deemed an acomplice when talking about Tournabout Samurai?
Ah ok on the Wiki for Polly, it said the bird in the cell looks similar to Polly. I thought that meant they were different but that's pretty cool that it's the same one. So Cody is truly the only one left Yea I'm honestly not sure why Sal Manela is not in prison. Don't know what happened there but he's clearly the one speaking
I relate so much to your take! I also wanted him to appear because I always found him adorable since the first time I played AA:PW and want to see him becoming either someone working in the studio that created The Steel Samurai or some sort of photographer that delivers an important piece of evidence.
I’m surprised that I’m the only one who’s thought of the idea of Cody Hackins meeting up with Lotta Hart. Mostly since they’re both associated with cameras and their pictures are important to figuring out the respective cases they appear in.
I think I tried out the first case and didn't like it. Maybe it gets better from there but I have a lot on my plate right now so I doubt I'm going to find the time to get through it
@@DerpyHiro the story Conflict of Intrest is pretty good, but the gameplay is really anoying. Well, a month ago I thought about that myself and decided to write a fan-fiction case for Apollo Justice about Cody, but still can't finish it. Well, in my version of the story, Global Studios and Blue Screens Inc. collaborated to create a videogame about Samurai Multiverse, and Cody Hackins made an impossible thing: he managed to speedrun the game in the date of the realise! That was a big step in Steel Samurai community, and Cody even became a face of Blue Screen Inc. and his record was written in their Special Guinness Book. But several days later somebody nicknamed LilKitty777 beats Hackins' record! Cody provided TAS of the game, and the time that player has was 10 seconds less than TAS' time. So, he found a cheater! But nobody in speedrun community doesn't believe him, because they think he try to bust a rival and get first place again for his own sake. That's why he came to court of law. So Apollo must defend Cody's position and find true identity of mysterious cheater LilKitty777. As for Cody himself, he is 16 now, so he became more mature. His style of dressing looks the same, but now he has VR-glasses and garniture on his had. No cheeks: only several acnes and little moustaches. Well, our boy has grown up. But in heart he is still be a huge Samurai Multiverse fan, and likes every spin-off and reboot of franchise. Also, he's now more into computers (now his name pun really has meaning!) and his speech us full of gamer's slang, so Judge and even Apollo hardly understand him. He still be rude enough, calling others "pops", "gramps" or "dude" time by time. So, yeah, Cody Hackins really has a potential to return to the future game :) P.S. In my case Lisa Basil should be re-appeared, too, but she doesn't change a bit... Maybe, she really IS a robot?..
@@DerpyHiro I had an idea where the ult speedrunner dra fan child gets accused of murder, and maybe he could be one of the contestants?(the main set of the murder is a speed running panel at a convention)
If Cody ever comes back, I think Capcom can take his character in a few different directions, these are some I've thought of on the fly: 1. Working for Global Studios/something Steel Samurai related This would be the most plausible direction to go in if they ever bring him back. Imagine Cody becoming an actor or a producer for Steel Samurai and interacting with Will Powers and maybe even John Marsh from AAI2! It would work since both are roughly around the same age and their personalities would make for a pretty fun dynamic, add in Pearl or maybe even Trucy because of their similarly aged and you get a cool little kid friend group! This could lead to a possible collaboration between Steel Samurai and Trucy's magic shows. Cody can be the reason behind it or he could just be roped into it. This can be where he meets Trucy and maybe even Pearl for the first time. Or, Trucy can convince him to make a Steel Samurai-Gramarye collaboration in the first place if they were friends beforehand, the possibilities are endless. 2. Studying to be in Law (Most likely as a Detective or as a Prosecutor) Hear me out here, the next AA game will surely need some new characters related to law, it's pretty much a given at this point, so why not Cody? Yes, they could bring in some Investigations characters (Please Capcom, bring back Kay and Seb I beg!) but that's most likely not going to happen. Which is why I believe they'll bring back an old Trilogy character, like Gumshoe or Franziska. But, what about Cody? It'd be a nice surprise and if you think about it, it'd kinda make sense. Steel Samurai's whole thing is beating the bad guys and what better way to do that than in a court of law? He could become a detective because of his camera, or most likely, a prosecutor to "beat the bad guys". Imagine Cody working for Edgeworth and all the Steel Samurai hijinks they get into, it'd be fun! 3. Defendant This could work well with my first idea, but I wanted to make it into a separate bullet point. Imagine a first or second case where your defendant is an old Trilogy character, it'd be a nice throwback! In this case, we could see some more Trucy and Pearl friendship and their possible friendship with Cody too. To be honest, I feel like Trucy's friendships, like with Pearl and Jinxie, are underdeveloped. So a case where we can see her friendships firsthand would be nice to see and expand more on her and Pearl's characters, since they're both kinda swept under the rug in the recent games. As for where Cody fits into this, why not make him a love interest for either Trucy or Pearl? Cliche, but I feel like this could work if written correctly. Imagine Phoenix finding out this little boy he knew from one of his first ever cases having a crush on his daughter, or Pearl experiencing a crush after all her "Mystic Maya and Phoenix should get married!" schticks. Imagine Apollo or Athena's reactions, heck, imagine a Mood Matrix on Cody, only to figure out he just has a hopeless crush! The possibilities are endless. Basically, his character could work into anything Capcom wants him to be, if they you know, ever bring him back that is.
I think Cody should become Pearl's boyfriend. He loves the Steel Samurai, she looks up to Maya, who also loves the Steel Samurai. A great start. 😁 Also, he could hit Phoenix with his toy Katana if he messes up. 😅
I never really liked Cody, but I do admit that it's sad he was never mentioned again. He could be used for a cameo or even play an active role in the investigations games, showing him as a more mature person. Such a wasted opportunity, and to think even Sal Manella makes a cameo in the games!

I'd love to see Cody back as a young adult training to be an action hero, with Will Powers as his mentor.
That would be awesome, he can take over as the new Steel Samurai
Either that or running a comic book story

Bring back Cody!!!
Theres a possibility that vasquez can return, her crime was self defense so i doubt she stayed in prison for too long, shes probably out by soj
Yea I guess it's hard to say how long the sentences are. They don't go over that information in the games
