The shock on my face after we won the grand larceny trial, get the confetti and victory music only for Godot to be like “Btw there was a murder and you just proved he was there at the crime”- one of the biggest twists in Trials and Tribulations

Desiree being framed as a golddigger only to later we figure out she acutally does love her husband is the best bait and switch in this entire series i love the delites so damn much

As for the stolen T I love how Atmey tries to fool everyone and Godot's debut is awesome but I felt it was a lesser case compared to 1-2 and 2-2 and I also didn't like that much the other characters (many people love them but I just don't). I felt like recepie for turnabout did an overall better job by getting me invested in the dynamic and the mystery. I just don't really like mysteries based on hidden identities (same in 1-3) because I feel like everyone is nitpicking things so that behind the mask there is always you want.
Also I think this case doesn't end well since Atmey slipping on the costume is not compelling to me. That's because the whole premise of the blackmail circle sounds dumb to me (like there are a lot of people doing things they don't need to do to get more money because why not). Also most importantly I have no clue why the hell was Ron wearing his costume when he went to his ex boss office (WTF?! Was he on drugs?!).
Furio Tigre also slipped up in a much more believable way and about a much more important thing. Let's compare the two. Atmey just bragged about unnecessary things while he could've just keep it shut. The costume thing was an useless detail he had no reason to talk about but Atmey becomes an idiot for a second and gives a reconstruction of the facts with all of his knowledge. On the other hand Tigre slipped up because he was panicking, he got more and more pushed in a corner (he didn't even expect to be brought in court) and Phoenix brings a bottle he knows/remembers nothing about and he claims it has his fingerprints on and has poison inside. If Tigre knew what that was he could've said "that's the medication of that Glen Elg guy I saw him take once" but since he didn't realize what it was he instinctively defended himself. If he wasn't that aggressive he would have just waited for anyone in the court to bring up the other bottle. It was a brilliant move by Phoenix not a random moment of stupidity by a very clever guy he happened to get and expose.
As for the filler thing I mean 1-3, 2-1, 2-3, 3-2, 3-3 (and arguably 1-5 and 2-4) are all "filler cases". The number increases a lot when considering the other games. That's because although AA uses some linked cases every case (with the exception of a few) every single one stand on its own, that's part of its identity. You can play each game in a random order and they hold up well and even for most cases in the trilogy that is the case. It's not the overall story which is important but the singular stories are and you get a satisfying conclusion for pretty much everything inside the single case. That makes the writing tight and your efforts worth it as in the end of each one as everything reached a conclusion.
I mean filler isn't really a concept aplicable to AA, more like episodic or auto-conclusive.

Dude I LOVE the Stolen Turnabout. The characters are so memorable. Luke Atmey is one of my favourite villains, up there with Gant, Ron is really endearing and funny, having a great relationship with Desirée, and need I mention who we're introduced to in this case? Godot - the man, the myth, the coffee drinker, the legend.
And seeing Adrian again in this case, happy and recovering, was not something the devs needed to add in but I am so glad they did anyway.

I think the story related cases in this game are weaker because 2 out of 3 of them skip the investigation part. Of course, the first case in each game must be a tutorial, but i think that inserting a case with a single day trial in the middle of the game was disappointing, because there was so much room there to explore Mia as a character by having her meet new witnesses, investigate the murder scene, and interacting with Edgeworth outside of court. Also, the last case of the game, while trying to tie everything together, ends up being less involved because it doesn't go the full three days of investigation and trials, and that left me very confused. This is cause they were trying to keep the game the same length of the others in the series, but I'm not sure this was the best way to go about it

I think the reason why some of your ideas may not have happened was because the team had space limitations. Like they couldn't fit a lot of content into the GBA.
That's why JFA could only fit 4 cases instead of the initially planned 5 cases and it's also why Takumi got inspired to make Dahlia a reoccurring villain.
Reusing character sprites was a method for them to save space so they could fit all the content they had into a single game.
I agree making Turnabout Beginnings have an investigation would have been cool but perhaps the team wasn't even able to do that due to space limitations

@@DerpyHiro I didn't know the game had to be so small. I thought it was at worst a budget limitation

However I would probably prefer that the choices made under these constraints were different. Like ditching one of the filler cases to fit a full Mia case. I enjoy all AA cases, but I can't say I would miss Très Bien too terribly.

Luke Atmey is one of my favorite villains, but it would have been better if there had been another culprit. I mean, all the arrogant, self absorbed characters turned out to be the killer. Redd White, Dee Vasquez, Manfred von Karma, Damon Gant, Richard Wellington, Matt Engarde. Was it really *that* hard to create an arrogant dude that can *not* be put behind bars because he isn't the culprit for once? 😂😂😂
But who could be the culprit instead, there aren't many choices.
    ● Kane Bullard himself (the first actual suicide)
    ● Desirée DeLite (in order to save Ron from being blackmailed, but trying to frame Luke to avoid being exposed herself)
    ● Adrian Andrews (but why would she when she recovered from her past...)
    ● Larry Butz (actually the best choice, it would have been great if his "Unlucky" character was a facade all along, and he got some true relevance).😁

    Interesting
    It is very good case
But yea pacing at the beginning was kinda off
But everything else was very good
But unfortunately I think 6-2 is better
It has a better culprit(just by 5% better)
Also the pacing is better in my opinion in 6-2
But still this is very good case
    Much better than previous one
    This one deserves 8/10
Not higher cause pacing and some contrivances
I am curious what do you think about 3-3 cause for me it is mid
Edit:another reason why this case is not the best, larry is the victim of flanderization

  • @spouwnerring
    @spouwnerring 5 месяцев назад +2

1st, Luke got extremely lucky when it came to Phoenix desiding to put his bare hands in the box were the urn was hidden in. Had he not done that Godot would have been able to argue that, because Desaree is Ron's wife, it means that she could've lied about where she discovered the urn in order to get her husband declaired not guilty. Desaree almost screwed over both Phoenix and Luke because it was her broke into Luke's office and brought the urn to court.
2nd, I'm not really a fan of Adrian's return. Farwell My Turnabout introduced 5 new characters. However 2 of those people are dead and the other 2 are criminals. My problem is that by bringing Adrian it retroactivly spoils the twist involving 1 those characters being evil. Not just that, but by having her be Luke's client it makes all the more easier figure out that Luke stole both the urn and also killed Kane. If Luke's client was a completely new person than you would have pretty good red hering for the theft and then later on for the murder.
3rd, I really wish that double jeoperty was used way than in just this case. Like, imagin a criminal being found not guilty on a crime they obviously commited and you needing to re-investgate the case in order to uncover evidence that can render those protections null and void? Ok, that actually sounds like what sounds like prosecuter would do, unless that criminal later went on to commit another crime, but this time they framed someone else for the crime and they leave no evidence behind that would result in them being found guilty instead and so in order to make them fess up the player would need to take a way double jeoperty to do so.

Nah, I’d say it’s definitely one of the better filler cases but the magical turnabout exists so it can’t be the best. The only issue with the magical turnabout is that it introduces Nayuta who is the worst prosecutor in the series by a long stretch, he’s not likable, he’s not funny(outside of the amazing “what’s crack a lackin homie?” Line) and his development is all concentrated in the final hour of the game and his dialogue is so boring(seriously if you need an easy way to sleep, you don’t need melatonin, just read nayuta’s dialogue). Beyond the mistake of nayuta, it’s a great self contained story in respects to the main story while still feeling connected to the plot of ace attorney and specifically following up on the gramarayes.

I'm quitting the game after this, the story makes no sense whatsoever, gameplay is on the peak of annoyance since the first game. There is no logic anymore. Just guessing. Luke atmey is the worst character of the series by far.
But seriously , they just managed to create worse and worse cases since the first game. It's a shame.

    • @Deivede73

@DerpyHiro where do I even start? The whole blackmail chain makes no sense. The fact that Ron was fired but still have access to ceo office AND the secret to a safe is ridiculous. The blackmail letter is the worst. It says "identity" and then you tell me is "identity of being a black mailer"? He wouldn't write like that if this is what he was refering. The color of the jewel thing... it was already told in the letter the jewel was gave, not stolen. You just have to keep guessing this silly stuff to make progress.
The story was overall poorly written. Is a shame. First game was so much better.
