Last spring my house was robbed whilst I was at school and my dad was tied up was held at gunpoint. While the robbers ran sacked all the rooms. The scary thing is they were saying "where's the kid" and they were talking about my 3 year old brother that was suppose to be there before the house was robbed but his mom couldn't drop him off on time and it's scary to think what would have happened if he was there. The saddest thing is they took the last Mountain Dew in our fridge.

Walid M He's moving and I think he already has an ADT alarm (one of the best monitored ones in the UK), besides he is moving. Although its always best practice to change locks an event such as this. I assume the alarm is operated with prox tags, so also best to erase them. CCTV is only useful after a crime has been committed and if there are signs of cameras operating (which you have to have by law) they will simply mask their identity.
From your most recent vlog, I see that you have a Texecom Vertias at your new house, better upgrade this to a grade 2x or 3x alarm and advertise your security detail less in the future.

Walid M Good idea! But even so, they would come with balaclavas masking their identity, having signage in the UK is mandatory to comply with the Data Protection Act. CCTV evidence cannot be used unless the intruders are aware that they are being recorded.
The best kind of security is physical security, then an alarm. Finally is CCTV. Its best to prevent a crime before its even committed.

Although you are right, he did not have a gun to defend himself, but it also meant the burglars did not have guns. If they did, he would be caught off guard and thee were at least 2 burglars so it would only make the situation more dangerous. Which is why there are less armed robberies in the uk.
