I used to sell used clothing a couple years ago and have started back up. By watching your videos, I have learned what I was doing wrong. Using bins to store inventory, not marking down old inventory, buying brands that don't move, etc. I just bought a shelf from Home Depot, HDX brand that has 6 shelves for $129. My 8x8x30 boxes fit perfectly and I am ready to fill it up! Thank you Beau for all the helpful info and I will continue to watch and support your channel. This is my first day listing clothing and I'm on SKU #28. 🤣I have a long way to go to get to where you are.
Right on! This made my day as the goal of the channel is to help people getting started with reselling. Happy you made the move and keep up the good work. Reach out anytime if you have questions. Enjoy your weekend :)
I have pretty much the same system. Except mine I put clothes in a poly bag within zip lock bags. Once item sells I keep outer bag with number and put that on side and replace that with new inventory. So I don’t keep getting bigger numbers unless I add more to my inventory
Oh you are so right! For about a year I didn’t even think I needed an inventory system, but as I grew my stockpile I started to lose things, became very stressfull😊
I'm having a hard time understanding how a 12X16 poly bag fits in a box that is only 8" in width. I want to purchase these and this is the only thing stopping me from doing it. I've been using totes for years, but really need to rethink my storage.
Beau, really appreciate the content! Curious what size polybags you use for shipping (not inventory). I'm a clothing reseller and have shirts, jeans, and jackets / coats.
Plastic bags sound nice - - until there is a power outage. If there is a fluctuation in temperature, particularly during the warm seasons, the plastic bags will quickly turn your inventory into a moldy petri dish.
Hello New Subscriber here. I found you through Marcus. I’m a new reseller and only have a couple hundred items listed. How many items do you have in your store? This inventory you have is overwhelming to me but I’m guessing everything gets easier as you go. Anyway thanks for this video 👊🏻✌🏻
Hey Brett that's awesome! Thanks for watching 😀 yeah so once you develop a system to manage a large amount of inventory it gets much less stressful not having to worry about losing items or figuring out where to put inventory. Just hit 7000 items in the ebay store.

Yes I agree Caroline, not being able to find orders can be pretty frustrating. Thanks for watching :)
So does your skew numbers just keep getting larger? You don't recycle numbers?
Exactly 💯
Many thanks for the tip !
Your very welcome!
lol 15-17 second mark check the massive spider crawling up the box on the right hand side... hope you don't ship that!

I bought them and they actually fit very well into the box.
This system works best with the "No death pile" system.

Thank you Jason! I use the ones from Jiaropack they rock - jiaropack.com/Beau10 10% off your first order.
@@BeauJohnson1what sizes do you find work best overall?
@@jasonwismer9920 12x15 work best
@@BeauJohnson1thank you!
Is your warehouse temperature controlled? Ever had any issues with mold on older bagged items?
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
Would you say the 8x8x32 are still the best way to go or would it be easier with something a little shorter? Great system
I like the 8x8x32 since my shelves are 72x24x48 its ok to have some boxes hang over a bit.
How heavy are the 32x8x8 boxes full of clothes?
about 25-30LBS each, thank you for watching!

Poly bags work better for storage
100%
