I watch some other you tube resellers here in UK & cannot understand how they run out of something & then have to make a special trip to a shop to buy a small quantity at retail prices!
I work in the supply chain of a medium to large size healthcare organization, Intermountain Healthcare, which I am sure you visited while living in Utah. I got randomly recommended this video, still found it interesting. Coming from a computer background my immediate thought with the SKU numbers is you could use hexadecimal, or even the whole alphabet to extend beyond the digits within the same length. For example FF in Hex is 255 in decimal. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ,8 ,9 , A ,B, C, D, E, F -- So you get 16 values with one character space. If you extended it to the whole alphabet you could have 36 unique values per space, to further extend the current system. Hexadecimal is easier to convert with computers though, so might work better in spreadsheets and stuff as you can do math with it. Excel has functions for hexadecimal for example [DEC2HEX & HEX2DEC].
@@dailyrefinement Off topic, but a few videos back Chris, you mentioned a Chrome Extension that someone you know created and is free to use. I downloaded Chrome but now I can't remember the name of the extension. What's it called again?
Might want to check the National Fire Code in terms of storage. When I was doing those sorts of inspections with on active duty decades ago, there was no issue stacking to the ceiling because that actually provided LESS oxygen for a fire. Think about a campfire...and how high the flames get...versus a more confined space. I don't buy that you should stack to the ceiling.

I kinda feel like you and most of the videos I see of Ebay sellers use those padded envelopes alot more than I do. And made me wonder if maybe im thinking about them wrong. When I think padded mailer I instantly think in the ballpark of 70-80 pounds max, and about 8 bucks in the Us. Do you have a dollar amount your item has to sell for before using the padded envelopes? And lastly, when I do my listings I usually click "customer pays a calculated rate", so does that mean they get to basically choose how I ship it? Thanks for any feedback, big fan

Any ideas as to how I can still store inventory for cheap without it being exposed to our extreme temperatures? Thanks! That makes sense to me, I think it’s to avoid blocking the sprinkler system
That's a lot of stock. I'll be stoked to build to that level. Suggestion - have sprinkler system or at least a fire extinguisher handy

I live in California the temperature here it’s super hot in the summer 120F or more so using a storage facility it’s not a good idea

The numbers after are just numerical. I start at 00001, next is 00002 and so on
