@@thegrassgobbla good question I haven’t run up with any in Bermuda I either glyphosate it or run pylex on it in fescue…. I’ll think on it and get back with ya
Hello, my name is Michael and I love your videos. I don't know how you learned all that you know, but you are brilliant. It takes me Google image and about a week just to identify a leaf... Of course I am 68 years of age and not as quick-minded as I used to be. At least I'm using that as my excuse. Haha
Are you recommending spraying quinclorac at seeding to kill existing crabgrass or to have some residual in the soil that helps prevent new crabgrass while the Bermuda germinates?
There is generally some crabgrass getting ready to pop out or so small you don’t see it at Bermuda seeding time … I’m not sure it will prevent future crabgrass
Great video on an assortment of weeds. I enjoy your content, even though I'm a home owner and much of it goes over my head, I pick up plenty of very good suggestions. The lawns you do are looking sweet. Thanks, John, Indiana, tttf
Thanks for all the great content! My fescue here in Charlotte finally made it through the brown patch and heat w/your help. I’ll only have to reseed a small area by the asphalt in constant sun this fall. Although it’s tempting to try and grow some seed now with all this overcast. Cheers!
🤣 get all your zones goin in there lol. Yea man you gotta keep making these example videos. This is like my small lawn care cheat sheet for smoking 🚬 off them hard to kill mfr’s. GOTTA GET EM GONZO! That’s a wilson term I think lol. Hey also the centipede lawn you smoked off and seeded with fescue? What seed did you run on that lawn? I’m about to reseed a fair amount of fescue and I’m on the fence with like 3 brands, triple plus or Pete’s GCI, or that top choice blend
@@PaulsPrimeCuts stopped by southern seeds today, thanks to this dude from PPC, gonna overseed my boys 1.5 acre home lot with mixed GCI I Already had plus the triple threat plus I scooped today. Oh and of course I had to scoop some seed oil, cause every mixture you talk about has that included to spice it up. Thanks for pointing out the dove weed, that’s what has popped up all over my yard that I didn’t know what it was. Looked similar to crabgrass but I knew that wasn’t correct.
Sometimes you can catch the Bermuda dormant and the Dallis still green… but I was talking about just spot spraying or wicking a few stubborn plants in the fall while it’s packing away carbohydrates
I'm glad I'm not the only one to struggle with surepower. I've pretty much gave up on it. For violets would you do full rate of 3 way and full rate of quinclorac or partial rates?
Also, I had a lady call me about torpedo grass in centipede. Worst torpedo grass infestation I’ve ever seen. I recommend glyphosate and start over…any other recommendations??
Great Vid Paul! Any issues tank mixing in backpack, Speed zone, Sedge hammer and Quinclorac for a spot spray app on KBG/PRG? I got issues on my edges this year with a salad bar of Crabgrass/Sedge/Spurge. No Pre-M this year as I reno'd last year and did not want any root pruning 1st year! Thanks and as Always, Peace and God's Love! Chad Upstate NY
Dang Paul you hit it out of the park on this one. Newbie on both Zeon and 419 with a massive Doveweed issue. Can you suggest products starting Now for preemergent. I have Specticle Flo, and prodiamine in the cabinet.
Thanks for the video Paul. I approve of you shutting off the irrigation for that one client. I do the same thing for one of mine, I just leave him a note about it on my door slip. Where's the cigar? maybe ill send you some free juans
Thanks for this timely video. Since I deal mainly with fescue lawns here in Winston-Salem, do you have a suggestion for doveweed control? I appreciate your advice.
Surge is labeled for it … I have had mixed results…. tenacity you can try change up with about 6oz of sulfentrazone or hopefully the Game-on will get cleared soon
Great video any tips on a tall fescue renovation I’m redoing my uncles yard who owns a plant nursery. I’m doing it in the fall so and tips or anything to help would be great
Thanks, I have several fescue seeding videos and I’m sure there will be some coming when I start seeding this year… so check through the old ones at stay tuned for the new ones!
I applied sedgehammer for nutsedge about 3 weeks ago and it seemed to do nothing. Do you think sulfentrazone would be a better option? More videos please 👍
Why the preemergent before seeding? A big fescue seed will germinate in a lawn treated with a mid rate of prodiamine but not as good as if it wasn’t there. And if you aerate it blows the efficacy of the pre so I don’t understand using it
Great work off the top of your head! I wish I could do that.
I just made it up none of it’s accurate 😂
Great video thanks Paul 😊 👍 🙏 🇺🇸💪
Thanks for watching
I love Change-Up on all broadleaf weeds. Good for warm and cool season turf.
Yeah it’s versatile even can go on centipede and carpet grass
Keep posting i'm watching coach
Good seeing you the other day Joe
You also my friend , what should I be doing to attack broom-sedge in Bermuda turf ?

I think I have all that memorized!!!
You should already know all that
I love to put down 4oz of Specticle around the May 1 mark here in Central AL for doveweed. Works very well.
It’s been a while brother. You still the MAN.👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Paul thanks for the vids, so valuable in learning about what herbs, work the best awsome work 👍
Those are just some suggestions and a few combinations… there are lots of options out there
Another great video Paul! Very informative with lots of good information and tips on weed control. Thank you sir!
Hold off on that seeding a few more weeks
Qinchlorac with oil with fert... No doubt
Yeah always drop enough mso to fry a small chicken in on your crabgrass apps
Loved the content. Thank you for sharing. You’re great! 👍🏼
Thanks… great may be an over statement 😂
For gossgrass and doveweed run specticle flo in May it helps out a lot.

What product do you recommend to kill doveweed in a centipede lawn?
Celsius with dismiss or atrazine

Have you tried Change Up herbicide on doveweed? Doveweed and japanese stiltgrass are extremely tough weeds…
Glyphosate when bermuda goes dormant on dallasgrass?

I think the game plan is to remove or open up some of the trees and put some tif-tuff in the under performing patches

Should be fine … I think that the only way you can use Quinclorac up there (spot spray)

On Bermudagrass yeah if you want to have some mowing to do over the winter.. probably put it out mid September or so

@@PaulsPrimeCuts thanks I’m in Raleigh so the normal app in February March and then in late may or June as well

Try a glyphosate & SureGuard application on dormant turf this winter

What about mesotrione and atrazine or simazine for dove weed? I’ve had it smoke other grassy weeds like crabgrass in centipede. 4oz/16oz
Yes! Atrazine in centipede has good action
You should persuade them to get those trees cut down bad for their bermuda plus it would allow their house to show better
I agree… but they don’t yet
