I agree. I have 2 sons, they are less than 4 years amd I had them play together. My younger son is not stronger or faster, but he is more consistent on making contact. I think in part his swing is slower he stays on the hiz zone faster..While my older son swings faster and tends to be early most of the time and swings out of the hitting zone sooner than when the ball arrives. I video both of them and after games, we watch their swings in slow motion an see what happened
I spent years perfecting mechanics and my Dad spent a lot of money But i wanted to hit the ball over the fence and I know it messed up my swing I was more concerned about the lower part of my body to generate power than hitting to all fields The power would've come with time but patience is hard to teach
I like this thanks! But what about the contact points in front of homeplate more HRs etc, but what about in relation to where the hitter stands and the individual contact point? Is he in front of the batters box or more in the back? I think I need to know that to understand contact points, not only in relation to homeplate.
Bat speed is so irrelevant. A high guy can swing soft and hit way harder than a smaller guy who swings really hard. Look at Gary Sheffield, he swung out of his shoes but never hit longer home runs. Then you have Adam dunn and he could hit the ball a country mile with a easy smooth swing. It’s more about incorporating the certain muscles of the body. You’re just trying to make money and hitting coaches need to preach bat speed to keep people convinced they need help increasing it
Bat speed is irrelevant but having a smooth (and fast) swing makes you hit bombs. I don't understand your point bud. It's physics... Your swing has more speed, you put more force on the ball, the exit velocity goes up and if hit in a good angle, the ball goes further...
It's physics, Force equals mass times acceleration, swing hard, swing fast, hit hard, the way the body controls these forces makes the difference between a smooth or non smooth swing.
Great video. Top notch, really.

Great info!
always, always for the fences..
Good stuff
To hit the ball harder, dont swing harder, watch it harder. Least, that usually worked for me - but i always hit with mine shirt on;)
Did that say Ty France has a bat speed of 84.9 MPH?
Hi
Fuck yea baby

lol. take a basic physics course.
Lmao. This is the most ignorant thing I’ve seen in a minute
