Thanks for this video. All I needed to know, really. I'm getting into flash photography and can't afford to spend massive amount of money on otherwise brilliant Canon speedlites. One thing I'd add is that there is a new model (YN-568EX) that replaces this one, and it does have high-speed sync. It costs nearly twice as much new a new 565EX, but still a third of the price of Canon's 600EX. Very interesting stuff.
Hi Mohammad, We'll have to see about reliability, at this price some corners have to have been cut, so the 565 is really for amateurs or only as a back-up for the pros.
Amazing review as always,Rob : ) so it's reliable? I heard bad things about many faulty units I've 560 and 465 and they're great and I want to have a more powerful TTL Flash for events
Hi...I need help! I purchased the yongnuo 565ex for my d600. I also have a nikon sb700 and also pixel kings to trigger the flashes off. The nikon works great but the yongnuo won't trigger and I have a party next week and wanted to use the 2 off camera flashes. I am contacting you because I follow you on youtube and the video you have up on the yongnuo is very informative, so I thought you might know about this issue I am having? I would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks, Lance
Hi Rob Does the ETTL work off camera with a Canon D7. I read about wireless communications from the D 7 to speed lights! is this true for the Yongnuo or do I need to connect the flash unit to the camera via a cable to get the TTL function when using remotely away from the camera. Any help on this point would be most appreciated. Excellent review by the way the best I have found on youtube for thid unit. Cheers Smithy .
Hi Alan, it should work with the 7d, as well as my new 600d, but I haven't tested it yet. Keep an eye on the youtube channel over the next month or so and I'll have done a test. Cheers, Rob.
I´m looking for some E-TTL (automatic, right?) for my canon 70d and I´ve come to the final choice: Yongnuo YN-565 EX TTL Yongnuo flash YN600ex-rt Yongnuo YN-568EX II Which one should I buy?
tattotoro tattotoro If any of them do hi speed sync, go for that one. If they don't, look at the Aperlite YH-700C: ruclips.net/video/KPjWExSjUiA/видео.html
I would like one of these to work with my Sony NEX-7 - but it is very confusing, like the NEX-6 is different from NEX-7. Also, is the Nikon or Canon version compatible with NEX-7 via adaptor. Looked around, but nothing is really clear?
Hello my question is I want to use and buy another Yongnuo speedlite because I purchased the YN565ex yesterday. I use it on my Nokon D500 that doesn't have a on camera flash. What do I need to purchase so I can use another speedlite
Hi, i hope you can help me... Im looking for a yangnuo flash for my 500d. I know this one is compatible with my camera but when off camera you said i can use my 500d's built in flash to trigger yn565ex... So the light from 500d built in flash will be visible on the photo? What if i dont want to use my built in flash to trigger the yn565ex, what equipment do i need to trigger yn565ex. Thanks!!!
+Jhoker Pleyah Well, you could use flash compensation on your camera to dial the pop-up flash down, or even cover it with some white paper to really reduce it, and you'd be surprised at how little it shows up in the photos. If you're determined not to have any light from your pop-up at all, you'd need to use radio triggers, a quick amazon search should show you lots of cheap ones.

That was nicely done Rob. I'll check out your other videos.

Good Review ..Thanks.
How does it do in low light? does it have the assist beam?
Fully compatible on Canon EOS-Rebel T5i Camera?
I hear that the break in a few months. How have the one you work though?
Mine are still going strong, but at this price, always have a spare.

If you run them in the optical slave mode you won't need to buy anything else.
How do I do that and which Yongnuo speedlite would allow me to do that with the speedlit I already own
Also how do I change settings that gives me three shot at different light exposures
