  • I made a small cyclone dust collection system using stuff I bought at one coin store.
My CNC1310 is inside a soundproof box that I made,
This system circulates the air inside the box and collects the dust, so the noise is low.

      Thanks for the comment!
The bottom bottle is 100mm in diameter / 100mm high.
The cones are tapered from 70mm to 40mm in diameter / 150mm high.
The top bottle is a 500mml beverage bottle.
      Fan is a 12v blower with diameter 75mm / thickness 30mm.
However, I would have preferred it to be a little larger.

Hi, 7chome_seisakusyo! You are fantastic! So simple and beautiful! It's amazing that you created the model exactly as I planned. I can only repeat your model, which I will do with pleasure! Unfortunately, I couldn't get a cone bottle like yours. But I'll think of something.
Please, tell me what hose diameter you use to remove dust from the CNC machine. What is this hose from? Where can it be found?
    Do Plywood plates have dimensions of 100 x 100 x 15 mm?
What are the dimensions of the carrier board?
Thanks in advance for your answer!

      Hello!
      Thanks for the comment!
The hose was taken from the pump as shown below.
      www.amazon.com/s?k=kerosene+pump&crid=2DJPJD2MOKKV0&sprefix=kerosene+pump%2Caps%2C229&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
It is a common one that every house in Japan has one and sells for $1.
The diameter of the hose is about 12mm.
The overall size is H=350mm, D/W=100mm.
The thickness of the plywood is 9mm.
      Good luck with your build!

Well done! Question: what is your cnc rubber feet setup to reduce vibration?
    Thanks

      Thanks for the comment.
I place butyl rubber which is quite soft and thick.

Hello! Thank you for a very helpful video!
Now I am going to build the same cyclone.
I got the Nidec Gamma32 24v 0.4A 120×32 fan for a very nice price, it is quite powerful. And I have a question, is the 12mm hose you used enough or should I get a 19-20mm hose?
I've already found exactly the one you used, as well as a 19mm hose that might fit, and I can't decide which one to take.

      Thanks for watching!
Maybe that's a pretty powerful fan.
A 12mm hose might be too thin.
I think a 19mm hose would be fine.
If the 19mm hose is too thick and the flow velocity at the inlet is too slow, I think you can make only the inlet thinner.

    Is that a 12032 or 14040 12V blower?

      Thanks for the comment.
      This fan is a 12v blower with diameter 75mm / thickness 30mm.
      But driven by 18v.

@@7chome_seisakusyo got a 7530 but 12V not enough suction power. Ordered another bigger 12032 12v hope it works. Nice diy, thanks!
