I purchased one last year, and Im very happy with the results. The colours definitely has a different look to my Fuji's.Very happy with it. Yes, its slower than my X100V, but thats expected for a camera thats more than 10 years old. Thanks for your review.
Great video. I have one for say about 11 years, bought it brands new. Got the original Leica Ev and leather case for it. The case makes it easier to hold. Still love it.
I have CL, I am very happy with its look, size, quality, weight and I strongly believe Leica will come with CL2 2024/2025 as there is a big demand here.
Bought mine after seeing your initial review. Loved that little camera, but I missed the full frame depth of field. So I sold it to buy a Q, which is sort of the natural evolution of this model. Both are great cameras and highly recommended
Yes, although I only had one coat which fitted the X2, so in practice it almost feels the same with a strap, it’s just the lens which protudes a bit more. But two great camera’s, the X also startes Fuji’s X-series, so another reason to be grateful
sir , I've got an X2 but in my case was careful consideration ; no need for an EVF , especially a Leica one ! Fuji will do at 1/2 price ; instead get one chinese job , for a few bob and enable sounds on focus , and Bob's your uncle ! if I was you I'd google < accessories for Leica x2 >and get one metal cylinder ; screws on the camera ( you've got to take off the original collar , plenty of them on aliexpress ) slap a japanese protection filter on ( M 49 ?) and your lens and more importantly the advance /retract motor will be protected to the hilt ; don't waste time and/or money on another make ; alluring as most definitely is a step towards Ms is fraught with danger , unless you are able to use your existing camera(s) and extract the last ounce of knowledge from them ; looked at some of your pics , especially the one with that old(ish) chap taken from behind him ; THAT pic becomes a good pic only shot on square format ( or cropped ) that's two pence worth from an old painter & Art historian ; best of luck !.......as for " cameras for beginners " idiocy , weeeell at six I was shooting a Voigtlander Spiegelreflex 6x6 , at eleven dispossessed my Father of his M3 , and did the same with his Rolleiflex at thirteen ; can't get more "beginner " than that , I think ....
purchased one and hated the it - simple because it had no evf, bought the external viewfinder which was ok but made it to delicate to run around with -
I am used to shooting without evf, and I took have purchase the evf. Still think it is a great camera for photography, but can understand 100% that without the evf it might not be for everybody
Good perspective. In my opinion the price is high if you compare what you can get in the price range, that said I love the small form factor, the holster, image quality and most importantly the shooting experience and yes the latter being subjective :)
@@PaulTakesPhotos It was definitely ahead of its time as a concept. As far as I am aware the x1 was the first ASPC fixed focal lens compact. However, not sure anything can justify how much its going for - its selling in the second-hand market for as much as the Ricoh GR III - a 2019 camera which is still being produced new, and also another camera whose 2nd hand price is being pumped by hype.

Sometimes I just prefer a slow experience and that is exactly what older aps-c cameras deliver (Fuji xt1, Leica x series to name a few)

Great camera and the case is the icing on the cake!
Purchased one last week and waiting for it to arrive. Your video is perfect timing for me, thanks for your work on it!
Thank you and enjoy shooting with the X2
How has your experience been so far?

Sadly Leica discontinued there APS-C range and I am not sure it will return anytime soon, would make sense though

I do own the Leica Q too and indeed it is the natural progression. That said the form factor of the X2 is awesome.

Oh i didn't know it started Fuji's journey into apsc, learned a new thing. Thanks!
Excellent video.
Thank you Bruun!
Olympus VF2 viewfinder (made by the same company as the leica) is a fraction of the price, and works the same. I use one on my X Vario.
Thank you for sharing that, learned something new 👍👍

Hi, I'm pretty convinced the X2 has no IBIS. Can you share your source? My X2 is non-IBIS.
Thanks
Check you menu, scroll down and you will see between MF Assist en Preset Film... Image Stabilization
@@PaulTakesPhotos true this feature exists. It's no IBIS though. It will take two photos and combine them together to maximise the result.
It's not a bad camera but the performance isn't worth the price they still fetch thanks to the Leica tax.
