How long does this process of training typically take to get them in the field the first time
Tom, if you have a breed of dog such as a springer spaniel or a munsterlander and fetching is not as "common nature to them. Is it better to get them fetching a bird or a ball and then try to transition to an antler? Otherwise, should you just start with the antler? Thanks for the info. Any will be appreciated.
At a shed test, are the size of the antlers based on the size of the dog, ie., would a min. schnauzer have to bring back a shed that's almost as big as they are?

I recently got a silver lab and started play fetch a 3 point shed I played fetch with him for about a week the I went to a bit bigger shed and he wont retrieve the bigger shed what would you suggest i do to get him to retrieve a bigger shed.
