What confuses me about this entire situation is that Xbox doesn't even talk about how the storefront is closing and that they are putting discounts on so many games and also don't offer a very simple way of accessing the sales and purchasing things. Do they just not want my money?

@@meanmachine5598 Perhaps, but what they decided to do is make buying the games an unpleasant experience. marketplace site just won't let me sign in even if I'm signed into the actual xbox site and the store on the 360 is like, hey, we are going to error code instead. You didn't really want bionic commando rearmed 2.

I believe they made a blog post about it on their xbox wire site. Saw a rumor a month or so back that this sale was lobbied for by the Xbox team as a sort of last hurrah. I'm thinking this probably isn't a big money maker for them. Certainly not like a current gen holiday sale.
Glad to see Spyro on sale. Wanted to play that for a while but was not willing to pay the current asking price. And I couldn't agree more with you, i hope they put dlc on sale because there is a lot i would love to grab.

Games like Sypro & Singularity would sell like gangbusters if they were backwards-compatible on modern Xbox consoles. Spyro is even owned by Xbox now. It has no excuse why it's not back-compat.
Yeah absolutely. It's been 3 years since they made a 360 game backwards compatible, I think they just pulled the plug on that.

Yeah, they are focusing the majority of the price drops on exactly these games to compensate for not having brought them forward on newer xboxes. Not ideal, but eases the pain a lot. And frankkly much more than what Nintendo or Sony have been doing.

@Cinestudi0 Fight Night Round 3 is still showing up as $19.99 here in the USA. You might be out of luck.
In the US, Fight Night Round 3--at least via the website--is listed at 1.99, but re-directs to xbox homepage when attempting to purchase. I read that "successful" purchases were charged $19.99 so it (rightly) led to a lot of refund requests. It's disabled for now, hopefully it'll get corrected.

Eu peguei esse usando minha conta americana. Deveria dar pra rodar o jogo com qualquer conta, mas note que o xbox 360 tá tendo vários problemas pra conectar novas contas, então se prepare pra uma possível dor de cabeça😅

After I have done this official manoeuver, it began to work on the site...
"Go to system settings.
Go to storage.
Use following button sequence on controller: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
Accept roll back.
Console will restart automatically and ask if you want to install latest updates. Install the update and issue should be resolved."
I personnally had to restart it...
It is worth a look... 😏

Can someone please help me getting my facts right. I don't own a newer Xbox than the 360. So it would be great, if one of you could tell me, if I see things right:
1) I can buy backwards compatible games after the 29th through the "modern" Xbox-Webstore and download them through the download history of my account on my 360?! (This currently works, thus I guess it will work later as well!?)
2) If I buy DLC for disc games which are backwards compatible through the new store: Can I still download them like above and use them with the game on disc? (I belive this is currently working, but I'm not sure.)
3) Does anyone know of another way to access Kinect Fun Lab other than through the purchase history? Somehow an update some years ago forced the app into hiding (seemingly a known problem).

Is Spryo only available off the console? I can not find it on their site.
Did you try searching for Spyro in the search engine instead of using the A - Z list? If it's not showing this way tell me your region.
@@FromTheVoidGames I have yes, It brings up nothing. I used Google which brought me to an old marketplace. But seeing Reddit it sees nobody has been able to sign into that site for many months. The site doesn't allow you to sign in and or gives you errors when you try to purchase.
Given the current management of Xbox this stealth sale doesn't surprise me. But if were really lucky maybe the DLC will be for free. I doubt it but they made nearly everything for crackdown 1&2 free along with the DLC for Brutal Legend and 2 of the Expansions for Metal Gear Rising.

I am Brazilian living in Poland, I do have BRL debit/credit cards and banking accounts. For digital XOne/Series it works perfectly fine, but gives an error on X360, 😢.

Can you purchase these online to play on your Series X?
These games aren't backward compatible so u won't be able to play them on the series x... u can only play them on the 360

Had the same issue. Redeem them on your computer with the Microsoft account you want to use and the balance will convert over

@@FromTheVoidGames tried both. I even tried adding and/or making a new account just to buy the games and it gives me issues. I even formatted my hard-drive and reinput my info and still. I called xbox and they were of no help at all.
Do you think that these Activision games will eventually be added to backwards compatibility?
Would make a lot of sense but Microsoft might hold off on revisiting their backward compatibility program until their next console.
It would make sense, but it's been 3 years since they made anything backwards compatible from the 360.

Was having this issue as well and randomly came across a thread that mentioned changing my subscription on Microsoft Live account from auto renewal off to on. Funny enough when I moved my console elsewhere It wasn't working there for online so I turned auto renewal off and it worked again. I'm thinking you'll have success with this hopefully, it's worked for me anyways.
There is also another possible problem. Some internet providers are removing support for old systems so your internet wont work on those. You can force it to work by turning on the legacy system 2.4G internet directly on your I´address page. Each internet provider has a different looking page so that's as far as I can help you.
I wonder if they have such a bad discount because they might become back compatible with Series X/S.
