I just happened on to your channel and am loving it, very inspirational!! As far as mean comments go, mean people have small minds and I doubt there is any room for creativity, you definitely do not have that problem. Keep going and never mind the naughty people, they are their own problem. Thanks for sharing, love the butterfly!!
Thanks so much - I appreciate your kind words and support. It’s great to welcome you to my virtual craft room - pull up a seat army craft table and I look forward to getting to know you and your creations. We have a little Facebook group called Slow Stitchin Friends in case you want to stop by there too 🤗 Happy new year to you and yours 💙🧵🪡 cheers, Christine
I’m so sorry someone would have said something unkind to you - I soooo appreciate all your videos. I figured that with what your husband was going through, you had to be feeling some stress, but you always sound so calm and cheerful. I never noticed anything amiss with your nails, but please do take care of yourself in these stressful times. You seem as one who thinks of everyone else first . Again, thank you! ❤
Thank you dear Betty for your kindness. I think we all have our trials and worries at times and I am so grateful for the kindness and care of so many in our stitching community including you. You really all do mean so very much to me! cheers, Christine
I thought I was the only one that kept tiny scrap pieces in jars! I feel like I have found a kindred spirit, thank you for the validation LOL I've watched many of your videos and enjoy your projects very much. Cheers from California ❤
Oh Teresa we are most definitely kindred spirits! I thought of you this evening as I tidied away some little scraps from my house shaped box into a jar 🤗 cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
What a lovely project Christine. I'm finally back on board with the wonderful slow stitch world into some kind of normality after four huge losses with the first as you know being mum. It's so lovely to hear your beautiful voice again and watching your lovely videos with new creations and the meditative gracefulness of slow stitch. Thankyou Christine. You're always very calming ❤❤❤
That’s a beautiful project! I love how organised your crafty work area is - all the pots and jars of treasure! With a lot of your ort bead projects, I can’t help but imagine them created in a series or string to hang of a Christmas’s tree -or the larger pieces using them hung as a garland in a sunny spot. Such a good way to have waste free creativity! (Why would someone comment on your nails? They’re obviously focussing on the wrong things! As a fellow anxiety sufferer, my nails are never pretty - but I’m always pleased with what they help me create. That’s the important thing I think.)
I laughed when you said my work area is organised - if often looks like a craft room has exploded 😆 Love your ort bead ideas. And love that we can openly share the anxiety we experience and the benefits crafting provides. And kindness attracts more kindness too. Cheers my friend, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thanks Annie - I love when I can create something from the unloved bits and pieces that would otherwise be in the bin. A bit like the incredible untangling of those vintage threads that you did. Giving new life to the abandoned and unloved 💙 cheers, Christine
Isn't it fun to find ways to use up all the bits we have? I love your mosaic butterfly; a great way to use all those teeny tiny bits. Another great way to use ort beads, too. By the way, anyone focused on someone's nails is missing the point of stitching videos...😊. Keeping good thoughts for those in the way of potential fires. I live in a part of the U.S. that faces those every summer, so know only too well the stress and anxiety they pose. Hope you have an stress-free day. Hugs to you and yours.
Thank you my lovely friend - you’re one of the wonderful people that encourage and keep me sharing (and you also inspire with your ideas too!). I’m really sorry that you have to go through the awful stress of bushfire threat. It seems the threats are growing every year. Our state, as well as battling some bushfires, has also had a major loss of power infrastructure after damaging winds and a storm yesterday so there will be lots ofrestoration work to get some areas back with power. Thinking of all those folks too. Take care my friend - it must be strange for you to think of us in the heat of summer while things are no doubt still chilly where you are. 💙
I love your butterfly ❤ 🦋 I was also impressed with your snail, so I started cutting my scraps into little triangles back then , so when I saw you butterfly today I knew I had to have a go , I even had a go at the ort beads today , so thanks to you I am now the proud owner of a lovely butterfly brooch !!!! Thank you Christine xx
Oh wow Gillian - this makes me so very happy! I love it when people jump in and make something. So thank you for bringing a big smile to my face 🤗💙🧵🪡 cheers, Christine
Beautiful butterfly great idea like the use of the ort beads for the body, now i know what to use some of my many tiny scraps for, thank you for sharing. ❤
Christine your butterfly is lovely! It is fascinating what you are able to create with bits that normally get tossed. Thank you for sharing your techniques and creativity.
Love the butterfly! 🦋 I don’t know why people think they have a right to be judge mental or criticize others (re your nails). They have no idea what you’ve been through recently. ❤🤗 Hugs, M
Love this broach- of course I’m a butterfly girl. But you have given me the lightbulb I need! I wear hand braces for carpel tunnel, pretty much 24/7 and have been wanting a way to add a removal piece of decoration. It was adding your ort balls that my flash of inspiration hit- now to go play
Sorry to hear you have to deal with carpal tunnel syndrome. Happy if this idea can be adapted by you to add some cheer to your day 💙🧵🪡 cheers, Christine
The story about Traevis (did I spell it right) reminded me of when my twins were little. They were in and out of their little wading pool when suddenly Moe's little dog Spot fell in the pool! (Spot, the pup, went everywhere Moe did.) Imagine my horror as I screamed and dived into the pool to save Spot. Then, imagine my chagrin when I held him aloft and remembered that Spot was just a stuffed animal. sigh...
I am new to your channel. your butterfly is beautiful and I look forward to seeing what else you make. P.S your volume was very low and I struggled to hear you.
Hi Mandy - thank you. Apologies if the sounds was challenging for you. Sometimes I think it is RUclips play back and not the video itself. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thank you - the overwhelming majority of people in our stitchy communities are the most lovely people and for that I am so grateful 💙🧵🪡 cheers, Christine

How do you keep all the triangles from falling off? When I glue and stitch some little pieces fall off.
Hi Lori - have you put a piece of tulle over the top of the little pieces and then stitched into that? Cheers, Christine
