I love the passive-aggressiveness. Martin portrays Jiminy as both fawning over these people he desperately wants to be accepted by and hating them for being famous, beautiful and successful.
I honestly think this is one of the funniest characters of the last, I dunno, thirty years? These interviews are consistently fucking hilarious, and Short's improv is lightning quick. When the celeb he's interviewing can keep up its magical.
"You don't trust your talent." "Nah." "Smart." So quick. And I love how Robbins played along, so graciously and good-naturedly. And the physical schtick was hilarious.
I nearly died laughing at 4:25 and up. Oh my goodness, of all the comedy I've ever seen no one's ever made me laugh so hard like this. Sasha Cohen's Ali G character, George Carlin, Jamie Foxx, Richard Prior, Eddie Murphy, Robbin Williams, George Lopez, Dane Cook, and others had me laughing like a madman many times, but this Jiminy Glick gimmick character is just on another level. Pure comedy genius.
Martin always kills it when he does this character. They need to bring some form of this old show back to network tv or cable. I love it! When he did it with Jimmy Fallon he was just as sharp.
Tim Robbins was the perfect guest. He treated it like a real interview. He let Martin do his thing and it turned out hilarious. (Other perfect guests: Edie Falco, Rob Reiner, Rosie O'Donnell)
I had to have a good, hearty laugh....he kills me! So glad i got to take my mom to one of his shows before she passed. She was in her late eighties when we saw martin and nearly 92 before she passed and he could always make her laugh! She had my zany personality and loved the crazy, wild and whacky martin short!
I am sitting on my porch late at night laughing my head off! I had read a comment from a previous interview of Glick, saying, “Glick is a cure for depression.” Something to that effect. I so agree. I encourage all to watch and have a great laugh Thank you Martin Short!
You can see in these interviews the deep respect that these stars have for Martin Short. And for some strange reason, I come away from, say this interview with Tim Robbins, knowing as much about Tim Robbins as I do in a longer more serious interview. That smile he carries on through this interview tells you something pretty deep. Dear god, I love these segments.
"You don't trust your talent."
"No."
"Smart."
The paper slapping had me in stitches, how did this only last two years on TV? It should run on streaming forever.
"Killer Story", couldn't control my laughter. Martin Short is a comic genius.
the timing of the pause and then the way he said "good" just killed me
He's been my favorite since I was a little kid
I love the passive-aggressiveness. Martin portrays Jiminy as both fawning over these people he desperately wants to be accepted by and hating them for being famous, beautiful and successful.
Only Jiminy can passive-aggressively get into a physical fight
Great description
Well said, excellent analysis.

Absolutely
He is very quick
This is one of my favorite ! Female volleyball, soooo funny!
How Short remains in character and doesn't bust a gut through it all is amazing.
@@BobDobbs681 These are pretty hilarious. I wish they used better quality film when they taped these.
"I knew you'd seen that film." "I didn't see it," Short replies without skipping a beat. Brilliant mind.
"You don't trust your talent."
"Nah."
"Smart."
So quick. And I love how Robbins played along, so graciously and good-naturedly. And the physical schtick was hilarious.
"You don't trust your talent...smart." Made me laugh out loud!
The look on Robbins face was fun
This is easily one of the best interviews. Don’t know what kind of prep Tim had but he amazing.
I'm obsessed with Jiminy!
You're comment was 11 months ago, well, I'm still searching for more Jiminy videos hahhhahaha
still here in feb 2020. so grateful these clips were recorded and uploaded. laughter is the best medicine! 🤣
Tim Robbins has such a nice smile and laugh. He can handle Jiminy’s sense of humor, too and even dish it back.
He's a sweetheart.
The awkward prissy wave at "Hey buddy" cracks my stuff up.
One of his best. Robbins was the perfect foil.
That paper fight is one of the greatest moment in TV history :D
“No, I was riding a bicycle”. Improv hilarity!!
Attacking Tim Robbins while asking him about Bull Durham! Funniest thing ever
NOTHING on this earth cheers me up or makes me laugh like Jiminy Glick. Martin Short you are a legend of our time.
the people he interviewed were very lucky to have such an experience
I love when Jiminy says “boy”.
A dose of jiminy glick once a week is like a shot of bran taken orally. I'm grunting trying not to laugh out in the office.
"Taken orally", LOL
😂😂😂
This Shit just made me cry! I LOVE YOU MARTIN SHORT!!!!! God bless him... lmao

canehdiandude great group you've mentioned...they've all had me cracking up a time or two!
Omg I LOVE Ali G and definitely put his quick wit in interviews up there with Martin Short
Slow down there that’s a lot of names to be naming
Dane Cook?
"where I like to think of past defeats and future traumas."
Martin always kills it when he does this character. They need to bring some form of this old show back to network tv or cable. I love it! When he did it with Jimmy Fallon he was just as sharp.
TA-TE-STA-RONE! LOL
Tim Robbins was the perfect guest. He treated it like a real interview. He let Martin do his thing and it turned out hilarious. (Other perfect guests: Edie Falco, Rob Reiner, Rosie O'Donnell)
I like Ice Cube and Julia Louis Dryfess
Ben Stiller did well. "I often carry tweezers."
This is the best Jiminy Glick interview I've seen. Great chemistry with Tim Robbins.
Tim Robbins is adorable.
Steve Cox they wrestled!
That wrestle towards the end came from nowhere. I was in stitches!
I had to have a good, hearty laugh....he kills me! So glad i got to take my mom to one of his shows before she passed. Tim Robbins " I wake up and make phone calls to people who don't even know me to ingratiate myself" LMAO
I think about Past defeats and future traumas :D
These videos are priceless... I love them all...lol
Random physical altercation. Good stuff.
4:43 Robbins turns into Christoph Waltz for a second.
Good call!
I love ♥️you Tim Robbins ..
You are so very sweet my love!!!💕💘❤😘
"It's all about feeding your ego because you're in show business"... so true.
I've watched this one over and over, and it gets funnier each time. Wonder how much was complete improv because Tim didn't miss a beat!
“no but i fake things!”
What a charmer Robbins is.
This one is surprisingly good.
Simply addicted!!
I don't think I've ever seen a more talented comedian.
I was in a half stupor until I heard West Covina. I was born there! I lived by the 10 freeway and Vincent Avenue
this is how you do an interview...especially 4:28
I am sitting on my porch late at night laughing my head off! I had read a comment from a previous interview of Glick, saying, “Glick is a cure for depression.” Something to that effect. I so agree. I encourage all to watch and have a great laugh Thank you Martin Short!
"You don't trust your talent, smart." Superb put down.
Not a put down, Tim responded no
Always a stinger when Jiminy refers to his notes for the guest's name. Great timing.
Haha! “I’m glad I asked ...that’s a killer story...be sure to end it just like that “ haha Jiminy!
The thought of Jiminy losing his virginity to “Michael row the boat ashore” 😂
Falling onto the "boy bar"!
We need more Jiminy Glick.
“Oh hey buddy”
"A lesbian quarterback she played"
“He’s got a wonderful spirit” he says about every guest !
Hahaha @5:03 "Oh hey buddy"
Much better guest than I imagined he’d be!
Somehow I knew Tim would be gracious and know how to take Jeremy
"steam bath where I think about past defeats and future traumas"
Past defeats and future traumas lmao I can't get over it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That was a riot. And fighting at the end was hilarious.
Martin Short is a genius. I can't watch enough of these videos.
Laughed SO hard!
What an absolute legend. Fiction or not, it's amazing
I can’t breathe!!! When he starts just beating him, I can’t take it!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
My right ball pretty much exploded when they started wrestle-fighting.
Tim was so good in this interview. Ha.
The best. Martin short is amazing
The Bull Durham slap fight alone was worth the price of admission :D
That Robbins boy is just delightful!
My favorites are jiminy's interviews with Edie Falco and Ray Romano.
Wonderful..!
“I don’t point fingers”
Proceeds to point his finger 🤣🤣
That little fighting moment was WILD
THERE IS NO ONE ELSE LIKE MARTIN SHORT
I will pray for America. 🇺🇸
Please pray for me. 🙏🏻
God Bless you. ✝️
"I don't judge or point my finger at people...but I think women in sports...😂😂😂"
Tim was such a good sport. Added so much to it
Tim is such a cutie.
4:24 Oh GOD. I have not laughed like this in a long time. There are tears...
How does Martin short keep a straight face?
Seriously, I saw him laugh once and he quickly jammed a roll in his mouth lol.
Jerry Seinfeld almost got him once but he turned to the side and recovered quickly
The GREATEST interviewer since Orson Wells.
I thought this was Orson Welles--?
"...and Kevin Costner.. you just call him Kevin I bet.. !" 😋😄
IN TEARS

Bring Jiminy back!!
Underrated and under utilized character with lightening fast unscripted humor.
The faux fight had me rolling. haha!
Oh my god when he attacks him I lost it😂
Glick turned Robbins into a teenage girl!
1:18-1:33 is comedy gold! I die every time I watch that part
If only Jiminy had introduced him as Rob Timmins! The director of _Dead Walk Manning_ ...
This is so good.
Brilliant!
Giminy is my favorite character ever....Martin is pure genius.
Handsome kid
Robbins. The coolest.
Jiminy lost his virginity to Row Row Your Boat OMG LOL
Anyone else notice RUclips took down Jiminy's interview of Ricky Gervais? These interviews are classics.
The expression on Tim's face after their fight is amazing.
OMG lost his virginity falling on the boy bar. I'm dying.🤣🤣🤣🤣
"I think about past defeats and future traumas." LOL.
Jiminy is the best of the best!
Jiminy is just as cute as a dung beetle.
