I had this experience, and I promise to myself I will never leave my passport in the inseat pocket anymore. I was lucky that the SQ crew was able to find my passport and handed it to me directly at the gate of my connecting flight.I just realized I lost my passport when I was about to enter the boarding gate to my next flight! If not, I would be stranded in Changi!
The same thing like my husband, he was very lucky when he had transit in Japan. There was a Japanese man run try to catch him back to give the passport
So the problem isn’t about theft. But rather the irresponsibility of the passenger itself? If you’re a forgetful person, then maybe you shouldn’t leave your passport in the slot, even if it’s for a quick minute… But I for one will never leave my passport exposed for long duration amount of time. Last thing you want is for it to go missing, even if it’s an honest mistake…
Which destination exactly in the Pacific Rim East Asia. For me they are my first choice to go New York EWR/JFK to Manila. I take SQ21 9-11am EWR Terminal B departure to SQ918 10pm arrival in Manila. SQ21 arrival Singapore 4-5pm PST GMT+8 enough to make the connection to MNL SQ918.
For me, a $1400 increase per seat over economy class to fly from LAX to BKK is NOT worth it when you consider that's $2800 for 2 people. I can stay at a 5 star hotel in Thailand for 2 or even three weeks for that amount of money
What kind of five star hotel charges 2800 for two people for two or three weeks? Must not be a very good hotel. Plus food and other expenses will be separate. The hotels I stay at cost $1000/night, not including food and spa expenses.
@@rtry2072 Note that this commenter said a 5 star hotel, *in Thailand*. In Thailand and in Asia in general 5 star hotels are wayyyy cheaper than anything you can imagine in the western world - a simple google search can show you some thai 5 star hotels can be as low as $2 per night. Even four seasons in Thailand is $14 per night. At that rate, with taxes and everything included a 2 week stay is literally only a couple hundred dollars or so. Even some of the more expensive hotels there are $200 to $250 per night which would still total to ~$3000 for 2 weeks. And don't get me wrong. These are nice hotels. Sometimes even higher quality than Europe/North America with better service and food.
@@rtry2072 2800 would be about how much the Grand Hyatt Bangkok for 2 weeks costs. You'll have to pay way more for the Park Hyatt, but I think the point is clear. For two people, Id much rather have an economy flight and a two week stay at the Grand Hyatt Bangkok than have premium economy seats.
Yup, it is worth it if you buy the single seat only, just like what i did, may cost a bit but hey, it is a 17hr flight back home, i want comfort for my entire flight.
That looks nice. But Cathay has improved with their premium. For me EVA and Cathay has more leg room. But if you want access to lounge area. ANA is the best they allow you to use their lounge area for premium and the service is the best. Haven’t try a Singapore yet.
I travel often on Premium economy on CX, HKG-MEL, after seeing this I think CX Premium Economy is much better, it’s has longer leg room and has a leg rest that can be raised about 30cm. After travelling on Premium Economy I have not been travelling on economy for a while now, although the price paid is almost 3-4 times of economy tickets, depending on what flexibility you bought for. The Business class on CX is 1.5 to 2x of Premium Econ for the same route. Psychologically I was able to accept that different 😂😂😂 between econ & Pre-econ.
Looks very nice - I flew SQ a few times and coach to SIN and J class returning alone from a group. Coach was wonderful even with menu service - 2 to 3 entrees were on offer , sparking wine , red & white and mixed drinks. This was 1992 so things were much better in all carriers durning the 80’s & 90’s the hey day of air travel and wide body jets on domestic runs. 747-300 big top coming & going it was, 400 series was coming on board - business was very nice. It did not have beds - BA introduced beds in 2004-5 about So these were like big Barbie doll loungers - not as big as first class but very comfortable! It was enhanced meal and French champagne service over Y class of course. On all my flights - Fav was BA Concorde - since the less time in the air for me , the better 3hr 20min to or from London at mach 2.02 1360mph was amazing - food and champagne was beyond good- stratospheric Just as high as we super cruised @ 60,000 feet
I flew Qantas PE to lhr and back and it was insanely good. Definitely worth it over eco and Qantas has a really good product compared to other airlines, even SQ.
The extra $ you pay to fly in premium economy for that few hours, The extra $ could have upgraded your hotel stay for days perhaps weeks depending on which country
The worst Premium ECO in my opinion. Narrow seat just like economy. Not much extra leg room like other airlines. Don’t pay extra for it. Either stick with economy class or get upgraded to Business class
@@user-jd5uq6lg6z it depends where your destination is. To me, I usually go south east asia from USA, so i have tried many airlines. If i have to choose, The most comfortable seat is EVA but the food is not as good as JAL. JAL has an acceptable seat for PE. But now the price of PE has been doubled or more from Economy in every airlines. I don't even think it's worth it.
Nope. I flew it and the seat was damaged and the food was rubbish. The blanket and pillow had no where to go if not used. Honestly I thought Singapore airlines had gone down hill. Sorrry.
It's mainly the difference in the seats and comfort. I mean if you want to put it that way, First Class shares the same walking carpet as Economy so you won't know the difference? The paper containers ain't gonna change the look or taste of your food
Paper containers can influence the taste and feel of your drinks/food compared to porcelain/glass. However I agree with the rest you said. Premium economy has a more private atmosphere, bigger seat, more amenities, faster boarding, moe luggage, better food and some other things.
This premium eco looks very nice, sure it's not business class, but this is a whole different value proposition. If someone has the option to fly business, I'm sure they would take it, but I think this is mostly appealing to leisure travellers who want an upgrade from economy
Except for the way their seats lie flat and where you end up all crooked on a side. I know many love the Business on SQ, but this feature makes me hate it.

Tks for the review!😊
This is a good review.
Always love traveling on Singapore Airlines😊
Always wanted to fly Singapore Airlines lines premium but it's too expensive for me flying from UK to Manila especially around December.
😊
Maybe cause its peak season? 😅
I’m flying from from San Fran to Singapore in December and it’s really not that bad at $3K round trip
US to Manila was only 900-1000 each for my family on premium economy. It’s cheaper during November.

Never put your passport in any of the pockets or places between the seats of the plane! That’s how you lose your passport, always keep it on you

Changi to Manchester is now S$5,000+ Premium economy. SQ is really mega overpriced.
Expensive and increasing cost cutting measures.
Leaving this week premium economy. Bris-Sing-Istanbul. Can't wait. Singapore Airlines have never let us down 🏆🇦🇺
Seems comfortable and the food looks tasty. Cheers from 🇦🇺
In some cases the premium economy has a deal for $1100-1200 from Australia or Newark Airport
Took PE once from Hk to SG and going to travel to NY this November on PE, hope I could survive the longest flight.
I can hear waltz of the flowers playing in the background as you sit in this section of the plane

Share restroom with economy cabin SQ. EVA AIR has dedicated restrooms in PE cabin.
Travelled PremEcon with Singapore August/September - it was simply not good value for money. They certainly put the economy into premium economy!
Either you fly Business or Economy. Nothing in between is worthless.
Small compartment for your passport, why would you put your passport there? Keep it in your bag on you
How tall are you. When you say you can stretch your legs all the way, I think that’s subjective on your height
6 Ft fit ok?
how much??❤
Nice review, but never leave your valuables or passport in those seat pockets. You WILL forget about them (especially on red eye flights).
Uhhh so whats the actual difference between econ and premium besides the price? 😅

Check on website.. this ain't SQ's RUclips.
Food is disappointing on New York Singapore 19 hrs nonstop.
What's your height 😮😮
現在搭長途過夜的飛機都有臥鋪了,或是坐臥兩用的長座椅。就要買這種票,出去旅遊才不會活受罪。
Try Emirates premium economy👌
I wouldn't my passport there lol

you also get the perks of book the cook in PE
PE is 3-4x the price of economy, yet the service provided is not proportionally more.
❤ yes. Would you like to tell me the price from Singapore to Sydney / one way for premium economy class. thank you so much.❤.
Just go online and look yourself.
stay safe stay happy
I thought you're Alice Guo
PREMIUM PRICES 👍🏾
Nasi kotak my indo love it
sia gOATED
If u Fly China Airlines B777W Premium Economy you have private Toilet in Premium Economy class cabin .
Premium econ is bad. Just decide either economy or business.
Please tell me the purpose of masks on a plane? When you have to take it off to eat and drink smh
Agree. Waste of time
The rapid-fire Singlish accent is difficult to fully comprehend for Americans.
Hence why there are subtitles lol
Nope. the only class worth flying is SQ biz.

If you can’t afford biz class then the premium econ is the best option
