do you think you can make a video of the Fairmount Windsor Park hotel in the uk? i will be travelling from Canada next year and was thinking to stay there but there isn't many videos about the property ?
Can't believe Shia Labeouf got to see Tim on a plane, he'll be telling his friends about that
Ha ha
He saw Ryan Reynolds brother on the plane 😂🤣

@@LJ_Elson she is often on his channel. They are a very loving couple with an adorable son. No. He's heterosexual. Not sure why you're asking me instead of him and his wife. Jealous. So cute.

@@LJ_Elson yes. I agree. It's a really great channel. I've been watching since 2021. If you scroll thru his videos, many have his wife on there, which is really the star of the show. And their adorable son. Enjoy
About the window : it's not so much a question of who's in the right as who has the better manners. When you share a window, you ask the person you share it with if it's alright to shut or open it.
Exactly what I was going to say about the window.
She should have asked if it was OK. I would have.
She probably didn't want to be on the video
Much as ilike a window seat he still had a full window to look out of.
Did Tim honestly need that half window? Did it ruin his flight? It's not like he could see anything out of it!
He had full window to look out of. If she reached over to close that window then Tim definitely has something to moan about. But she didn't, she closed the shared window, more than likely because the sun was shining in her eyes. He made a big deal out of nothing. To discuss it in earshot of her was plain rude.
The machines not working at the start and the lady just standing there instead of telling you they aren't working pretty much sums up BA. They can't even get the most basic customer service correct.

It's shocking to see BA standards slip so far from what they were before. The level of service you got for the price and place you are in is a shame. The level of maturity in people nowadays has also slipped. I’m a bus driver, and the vile people you have to put up with giving you verbal abuse daily is shocking.
sorry to hear that, its pretty depressing knowing so many people are willing to be cruel to others, for us happy/kind folk we have to keep putting on our best face, cant let them get us down too.

Things seemed to be way overpriced these days and the service you get is just not up to standard.
COVID and endless social media screen-time has created monsters who communicate like the keyboard warriors they are. New Club Suite , B gate lounge is the better of the three business lounges. Maybe you should have perused the BA site before as there you will have found the location of the lounges…. Oops
Not BAs fault..
Tim, I've noticed that people have become less tolerant, cooperative, and friendly since the pandemic. Just a personal observation. Wow, that was an expensive flight that should have been better. Thanks, Tim! 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧
Totally agree, the wife and I see it, where every we go.
I was reading hundreds of posts on Reddit about this the other day so people have definitely noticed it too. It's sad really 😢
Nothing to do with the pandemic, it's since mass immigration and wokeness.
Everyone is a bit more damaged than they were 4 years ago
There is a simmering feeling of anger all over the UK in 2024, definitely since the pandemic things have gotten worse and the general direction the country is going in, isn’t great. This filters through into the general demeanour of people on the street. Not great.
If a flight attendant asks you if you are related to Ryan Reynolds, always say YES. You would have definitely got that welcome drink lol
Write that down.
Related, no! I am Ryan Reynolds.

As somebody that's only ever been in cattle class and can't even afford to set eyes on business class, that looked like pure luxury to me.
@@11235but I don't disagree at all. Was simply saying that in comparison to economy class, it looks pretty incredible. Flying long haul in economy is a painful experience, mentally and physically.

I flew from Heathrow to Los Angeles on United Airlines,in First Class Business. . My first time ever on a long haul flight in March this year. An excellent experience. Hot towels, assistance always on hand, comfortable bed, good food and best of all, 3 flight attendants singing me Happy Birthday with champagne to celebrate my advancing years! Certainly would fly again with them!
First class business? What was it, first or business?
@@gw2078 Business Class. Pardon my error. Jpf
With the window situation, I would say it’s shared, therefore it’s just polite to ask if you can close it, even if you wanted it open, if they asked before you’d be happy to do so. Just ask, that’s what I say. Be polite.
Agree. Unless it was his ONLY window, I don't see a problem with closing that one
I really wouldnt care about the lady behind closing that blind. Same if the person in front closed the foremost blind. So long as I can look out the window from time to time. I'm happy.
I think it’s nice to have a quick exchange with someone if you have a particular preference in this situation. It’s strange that she had booked a window seat if she didn’t want access to the window, so maybe she had a headache, or wanted to go straight to sleep. I don’t feel like you were going to get much intervention from the cabin crew so you needed to employ your own neighbourly diplomacy.
You've hit the nail on the head. It's the same with reclining your seat into somebody. You can do it but just be polite enough to ask or tell the person you're going to do it. 99% of the time you're not going to worry as you were considered and it doesn't come across as rude.
I think given you have access to three windows, your side ones are shared but you have a middle window direct to you which not even row has, yes it's a nice courtesy if she asked to close it but I don't begrudge her for doing so because on a longhaul flight some people just wanna sleep the moment they get on so they close off all their sources of light (and some just don't like looking out an aircraft in general, esp when they're nervous flyers.
Now when you have only one window and it's shared, then yes, it's a mutual agreement to shut it sometimes the guy behind me will say 'look I'm going to sleep do you mind if i close the window, you can open it later it won't wake me up when I'm already asleep' and I'll always say yes I like to watch take off and landing but other than that I don't care.
I really like this review... As someone in the airline management myself, see often a lot of reviews of products done by people who fly all the time in perhaps "better" premium cabins or whatnot. You have an eye for detail and service without the total airline product bias. This is so much better of a look than most.
I’m disabled , I only took a short flight too Dubrovnik on British Airways , not enough time too comment on their service , however the BA ground staff at Gatwick where absolutely amazing, kind and caring and went above and beyond in helping me and my wife check in and get through security, I myself will definitely use BA again for my flights.
That's good to hear 👍
So BA might b best for short flights????
The BA crew from LHR are always fantastic with both our disabled kids.
I am 89 travelled to Canada in May found my way to B gate lounge very easy without having to ask
Yes, me too. I found it weird that huge yellow signs saying "THIS WAY TO GATES Bnn to Bnn" was difficult to follow. Perhaps the flu was already kicking in!

BA is a shadow of its former self and one-off the worst Business Class I've experienced. I really try to avoid BA nowadays.
I agree. Mediocre at best. Tim is a smart guy and I suspect he realises that Virgin is much better. At least he didn’t get the antiquated Club World cabin.
100% that’s excactly what I was going to say ba are just a shadow of themselves, The glory days are well and truly over .
100% agree. The call centres are beyond useless - it took me about 10 phone calls just to upgrade from PE to business, whereas klm did it in about literally 30 seconds. Then they’d switched planes on me and instead of new club world suites I got old club world and ended up sitting practically in the aisle. Absolute rubbish.
The BA Facebook complaints page is a revelation. Granted, any airline has delays/ lost luggage etc, but it’s how BA deal with complaints that leaves so many pax frustrated.
Good more room for others . Stay away from
Those lounges aren’t just available for people travelling in business class. Anyone with a BA silver membership can use them when travelling BA, no matter which class they are travelling in, and they can technically each bring a guest. That’s why they get so busy. Also bizarrely the First lounge is for gold members, not people travelling in first class as they get to use the Concord lounge
Tim: "Is that a lightbulb socket?"
*Sticks finger in mystery hole*
😂😂😂😂😂
😂 omg he did
Lounges are also accessed by people with frequent flyer status on economy tickets, as well as people on inexpensive Club Europe upgrades. If you thought the B gates lounge was busy you'd have been shocked at how busy the North and South lounges would have been at the same time.
I flew business class as a retirement treat march this year. Bearing mind it was a 15 hour overnight flight, we paid extra for 2 seats together. At boarding gate got told I was being moved 5 rows away from my wife, HELL NO! My wife's is a poor flyer, reason for move, my seat didn't recline! With being an expat living in the US, I’ve flown Transatlantic many times with BA. I have to say that the service has got worse over the years. In fact, after my last trip I very much doubt I’ll consider them again. Such a shame. They were a premium carrier in their day. ☹️
People can be vile telling you to f off and pushing you out the way is vile.
Normally one should confront these people but its risky..
Even though at an airport they might get in big trouble for being agressive which is good..

Thankyou British Airways for the lovely experience ❤
Don't want to get too political but I think there is decline in English social standards nowadays from over a decade of people told by the Government to look after yourself and sod everyone else. We are now starting to reap the negativity in society because of it. Selfishness is rudeness. Degradation of what you and I once considered caring values. Sorry you had that interaction.
There's definitely a downturn - especially in traffic as impatient arrogant drivers treat the road as their own racetrack... number of accidents reported on a daily basis.
It’s happening because the entirety of society is becoming tired of it. The stress and everything that comes with it is coming to people. Eventually it leads to the downfall of a country’s inner circle
Poor parenting if you ask me!

We flew British Airways business class from Toronto to London in April and we absolutely loved it. The British Airways lounge in Toronto was wonderful as was the lounge on the way back in London. We got a glass of champagne when we boarded, and they could not have catered anymore to us. It was excellent. We flew an A350 and A380.
Great video, but it doesn’t make me want to pay £3,319 for a flight! British Airways needs to up their game! Thanks Tim!❤️
Totally agree
I mean, any flight is going to seem expensive if you buy it at a silly time. I just priced it up for May 2025 and it's £2500 return so £1250 per flight.
@@santstravels That’s still expensive when the technology didn’t work, the staff were unwelcoming and the ‘business class’ accommodation was pretty basic! BA needs to improve their service, in my opinion.
@@patriciachirgwin3238 I agree with you there, they missed the mark on this one and even if paying £2500 return I'd be annoyed at the faults in the service.
@@davidf6326 I think you should be replying to Tim. I just think that £3319 for the service Tim received is too much. The service he received looked pretty basic (heaven knows what economy service is like if business class is as Tim experienced!). It seems overpriced for the what was provided.
Window situation: Flew Virgin Premium recently, I’d got just about 2 windows to myself, 5 minutes into the flight the woman behind me tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I’d close the window nearest her, as I’d got 2, it wasn’t an issue and let her close it.
It’s always good to politely ask.
Yeah.. my opinion, if the window is shining light in your (person behind you) cabin, there's good reason to request a close, especially when it's a fifty fifty kinda situation, and you've got 1,5 windows shining in your space left to spare. Easily solved over a friendly chat, maybe a drink, in business class
Just a thought Tim - the next time you head Stateside, try going via Dublin where the crowds are less, the staff are really accommodating and even better, you can do preclearance of U.S. Customs and Border Protection!
Second this!
Aer Lingus always gets good RUclips reviews and is typically much cheaper than many carriers.
@@efkay93 how does that work? Is it that there is no passport or immigration to go through when you land in the states? You just collect bags and go?
Is there a separate lane to use when you land?
@@kevinpick1469 Exactly that! With preclearance all the procedures that you would normally go through when landing at a US airport are undertaken before you board your US bound aircraft. On arrival, you are treated just as a domestic flight. Shannon Airport also as preclearance. To benefit from preclearance the routing of the flight cannot be via another country, ie Dublin-LHR-DFW.
The pre-clearance is a great option but having to fly long haul with Aer Lingus, not so much.
I flew to NYC back in 2015 business class with BA from Heathrow T5. Back when you could select business seats upstairs on the plane. We had a fantastic experience, the lounge was amazing with loads of food and drink to offer. I think you could also get spa treatments! Staff were very friendly, the flight attendants were superb. However my dad flew more recently to NYC, again with BA business class and he said nothing was as good as it had been back in 2015. Even the lounge had got smaller with not as much on offer.
Spot on
It's a sign of the times we live in, pay more and receive less.... 🙃🇬🇧
@@sarasate89 The lounges have not got smaller. They might be more crowded, but definitely not smaller.
I have always been pretty lucky with BA and have had some great flights with them in Business and economy, I have always found the crew personable and polite. Not great that the machines weren't working, but your second shot (and background of first shot) is the Club World check-in zone which you should have gone to, not to the C counters...
Yes I was sure business class had dedicated check in. Oh the days when there were check in counters for everyone.

And what chance was there of you ever even contemplating it?
But I guess either way, BA will be gutted to lose your (probably non-existant) business.

I like your honesty and no fuss attitudes when it comes to business class reviews. About the cabin temperature, my friend is a cabin crew. He says they usually adjust the temperature to freezing cold (say 21° C) when they want most people to sleep. When it's time for their 2nd meal service and closer to landing, they set it back up to 25° C to wake people up! Hope u find this information interesting.

Top seat. T5 is very straightforward, i think Tim was just stressed arriving late due to traffic. As to whether its worth the money, not for most people but yes for enough to fill every seat..
Yes Tim, bringing in the travel and flying days! I want more 😊
Got told what lounge to go to as he suggested to go to the club lounge at B gates because it’s quieter.
Goes through security looks at the screen for lounges. The screen shows who’s allowed in what lounge it then changes to how busy the lounges are and who’s allowed in and says ‘I don’t know which ones I’m allowed to go in and which ones I can’t’.
But you were just told and shown. It’s not your first time flying with BA or a OWP either so you would know.
Also all the yellow signs through the main concourse at T5 point to the lounges as well. Seems a bit acting up to me as was having a bad day.
Don’t get me wrong I’m all for holding all airlines accountable for the amount they charge but don’t show them telling you and showing you something then say you don’t know.
Agree. I think he was actually looking to take issue with things.
Totally, he didn't even use business class check in for some reason ? It's not like BA business is incredible, but it's perfectly fine most the time.
Tim Tim Tim! You've captured the BA experience so well. I really thought your comment about every member of staff bumming you out really nailed it. I feel like it's a cultural problem within BA.
The other issue you captured well was the tech issues. Lord knows who they are paying to run their self serve check-in and bag drop machines. As one if my colleagues recently said of BA, nothing works. Ryanair's self serve machines work perfectly in comparison!
The gulf airlines (emirates, ethiad, etc) have left BA, Virgin and all others in the dust. They seriously need to raise the bar in everything they do.
@@jules77739 not forgetting all the possible illegal subsidies. They had been losing money hand over fist for years, but could afford major sponsorships like Man City. Not really a fair comparison in my opinion.
@@markpearce5349 In fairness whilst they have been heavily subsidised in the past you could argue the same about BA when it was state owned. Emirates made a profit of nearly $5 billion last year.
Not much use for UK-USA though !
@@Trickytimes That I’m afraid is not true, revenue was $5 billion, not profit. Also it’s been a very long time since BA were state owned!
Probably because they use Soave Labour for most of their staff behind the scenes and treat their staff like 2nd class citizens
Yep, it’s a no to BA and a confirmation to fly the UAE carriers whenever possible.
Chiming in on the window argument: I think the control of the window goes to the person with the most exposure to that window. However, this looked pretty 50-50. I think the winner is the person who wants it down since they may be trying to sleep. This also applies if they have less exposure, but they should ask and not be refused out of courtesy.
It would be courteous no to refuse them because they asked?????
You ended up in the B-Gate Lounge Tim, its a small Galleries Lounge- but its ideal for the wide-body flights which often leave the B & C Gates. The South Galleries BA Lounge is the best one though it does get very busy and you were only yards away from the escalators that take you to it around the 03:05 minute point in your video. About 3/4 of the 375 flights I've done have been to or from London Heathrow so I know the Terminal layouts quite well from a passenger perspective.
Also you flew a Boeing 777-300, those aircraft have a high density on their premium cabins (First, Business & Premium Economy) as they often fly the LAX, New York and Singapore routes which have high demand for BA & OneWorld premium customers.

I have just subscribed having watched this short. He speaks clear English, good equipment, doesn't care if others hear him, not dazzled by surroundings and conversely not overtly pernickety either.
Having travelled extensively this century up to Covid all round the the west I must say watching the arrival at LHR, the dehumanisation of security , the lounge disappointment, the service that grates at a high price and the dreadful, truly awful arrival at US Customs (just the smell of those places missing) brought it all back to me. My reaction informed me I still need another five years to recover before flying by air again, trains from London to the continent until then.
I really like your channel Tim … big fan, and I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well.
As for the window, i think that the person reaching through should have just popped round to see you ,and because you are such a nice and accommodating chap, and are so considerate of others that if someone was struggling with the light levels you wouldn’t mind if they closed that window blind.
I think what the problem was is that someone felt entitled, without giving you a reason or even asking, to reduce your view and light level, please correct me if I’m wrong.
So much misunderstanding and irritation could be easily avoided if people inform others of why they need to do something before they do it, especially if it is going to affect another person.
Hope you get well soon, and enjoy your stay in the USA 😊👍
I flew BA business class Chicago to LHR on to Athens and return. All ground side personnel were very friendly and helpful. With the exception of one moderately grumpy flight attendant the cabin crew was okay. The big disappointment was the preordered meal. When I posted a picture of it on social media my comment was: “I would hate to see what they are serving in economy.” Your meal looked a lot better.
Hey Ryan!!! 😂 In all fairness, when you got up to do the Loo review, 16:05 I could see a likeness!!😊
I’m a Brit that now lives on the US W.Coast and I fly this route with BA frequently.
Depending on cost I’ll fly business class and have always enjoyed it. The cost of their seats varies widely and I’ve paid as little as $2k and as much as $4k for a return flight in business. I often see one way seats going for $6k+ which seems crazy to me. I’ve always wondered why BA focuses so heavily on US destinations (rather than S.East Asia for example) and I’ve realised its because Americans think nothing of paying thousands to pay for premium travel. I’m sure you noticed that the majority of your fellow business class passengers were American. There are a heck of a lot of Americans with very high disposable incomes.
I love the new business class cubicles and have always enjoyed the quality of food and overall service provided.
I think you flew on their older 777s which despite the new retrofit business class cubicles are quite old planes now. Their A350 planes are new and lovely.
I’ve always had great banter with BA flight attendants - very professional, attentive and fun.
I wouldn’t lose too much sleep about losing the battle of being in control of one of your three window shades 😂
Another fun video to watch.
Yes the crew on board were great.. not so in terminal 5
BA isnt anything special unfortunately. Heathrow is my favourite airport as its always such a smooth journey. Returned from the US last Sunday into Heathrow and it took 30 minutes from landing to getting to my car.. i flew economy and i was even one of the last off the plane.. absolutely amazing 👏
My experience on BA business was San Francisco to London and it was absolutely wonderful
Qatar Airways I took business class. Excellent food,(gluten free) service and welcome drink. I had,an asthma attack and got fussed around by the crew member assigned to me and the crew head. Helped me find my inhaler and then tucked me in to bed. Privacy higher that BA.
Qatar is exemplary. I had some inflight houmous on a Qatar flight that was literally the best houmous I have ever tasted.
My wife and I flew BA Business Class non stop round trip San Diego to London last December. GREAT EXPERIENCE on both ends. Food, service, seat privacy and comfort, amenities, etc., all far superior to any American-based airline. Cost for both of us was approximately $7800. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Definitely yes. On the down side, we’re planning a similar trip for Autumn ‘25. The price now for the exact same flights is $13,146. Worth the nearly $6000 price upgrade? Definitely not.
As a child, I remember my dad saying we will only trust and fly British Airways. As children, the flight to India, we had lovely books given to us to read - Dilbert In Delhi. Every time we flew, dad was proud we flew British Airways. BA has lost that now. They were the good old days! Nowadays, it's so informal, low budget. Poor service usually on BA. Shame.
Thanks for sharing Tim. I just was in London Heathrow and found the same issue with the BA lounges hard to find and not the best. At least on my flight back to the US I did get a welcome drink and I was in premium economy.
I always fly BA short haul in Europe, definitely the best especially as I live so close to Heathrow. You don’t get as many drunks as the discount airlines, mostly families and business people. I’ve stopped using them long haul as there are far better airlines available.
I did the same flight last year to see my friend in LA - have to say it was excellent there & back in Business - i paid no where near that for a return - they say airfares have gone up by nearly 12% in the last year, love your channel thank you for all your content.
BA seem to rely on reputation rather than quality. Great video, Tim 👌 👍
ps, myself and my brother have been following you for years! and love the content :)
Two J class trips with BA to US this year - have to say that both were very enjoyable, the Club Suite is comfortable enough to get some decent sleep (seat 5A in the 777 smaller front cabin), service and food/drink were all up to scratch and T5's B Gates lounge had a terrific breakfast selection on both visits. I think Tim's being a little harsh in his critique here!
I wasn't really harsh on the flight it's just because I didn't think the food was v good for the price and it was just my experience
You also had the start of flu, which is no fun - hope you recovered quickly 👍
Nope it's awful but that wasn't the reason I was a little negative 🙃
I'd have been more angry about the poor cabin service. Sometimes they're too busy with meal service to answer a call button, but they shouldn't totally ignore it. The mostly business and premium cabin means more seats per crew member and could be why you got worse service. That could be why you didn't get a welcome drink.
The seat looked good, apart from the hump in the middle.
You probably made the right choice with the lounge. If the B lounge is busy, you can almost guarantee the ones at the A gates will be even busier!
Mainly due to BA silver status being not too difficult to attain, which also gives access to the business class lounges.
The BA fleet is currently undergoing a major refit, so whilst the plane might be old, the cabin has only been around a couple of years.
Funny you should mention needing instructions for the seat - BA used to provide them, but they went away because of covid and never returned, along with the in flight mags, newspapers etc.
Take a look at some of my videos to see how things used to be!
Tim's luck reminds me of Victor Meldrew and frank spencer. "I don't believe it" 😂
I flew London to Cairo with Egyptian Air, economy. Had full entertainment system, with hot food. On way back made the mistake of flying BA, economy. No entertainment system, food was sandwiches.
Hm. I don't think I'd pay for all that desky stuff. In a rough landing or turbulence there's more for me to bop my head on. But I'm old and retired and don't need to do business any more anyway. Thanks for doing these vids for us. You are always entertaining.
Ooo, I spotted myself when you were walking through the terminal! I was off to Belfast that day from Gatwick - enjoyed the video!
No ones got any manners anymore unlike Tim himself who is polite all the time, and as for as the airport itself I suppose the poor man feels like he is on a roller coaster every time he goes to an airport especially British Airways, and as for being told to f....off disgusting I would have turned round and told them to, and what you pay for is not what you get now days, but if it was not for Tim's videos at least we know what to expect no thanks to him ❤❤❤
Thanks Debbie
Your welcome Tim, if you still have your cough or maybe for the future as winter is approaching soon and you love your cup's of tea, try a slice of lemon and good quality runny honey A Spoonful in your tea without milk as and when you need it honey acts as an antibiotic on its own and it calms the throat so I hope this is helpful for you and yes it does work, my auntie had influenza a few years back and it got her through it with the constant coughing she is 82 years old and it's a remedy she's been using herself I think since the dawn of time 😆 🤣. I look forwards to your next adventure xxx.
@@keithwhitfield5590 (really wow?) if you feel that way towards him, than way bother yourself watching his channel, after all we are all entitled to our own opinion and his subscribers who enjoy watching his channel would say different.
@@WalkWithMeTim thank you for your reply hope you are better now tim😊
I have travelled BA business and first class from Canada to London.......great flights. I guess its the luck of the draw. I do not use check in kiosk, I prefer to deal face to face. I also do not eat or drink alcohol when flying. I read and sleep mostly while in the air.
The flight crew is onto something you actually do have a look of Ryan Reynolds
If you have trouble with body heat on planes I suggest a light weight down vest or a Barbour vest. Easy to take on and off during a flight.
I see this video as a valuable piece of consumer advice to any new traveller but surely anyone who has travelled on business for any length of time has experienced BA and you know exactly what you are getting ie: a Budget airline product at a Premium airline price.
My company mandated we fly BA and I’ve lost count on how many times they’ve made what should be a chance to relax and catch up on work an absolute misery. It’s been like that for at least 20 years but somehow they still seem to be in business. I can only put it down to their reward/companion voucher program but even that is becoming so difficult to redeem its just easier and better value to book with someone else.
Fortunately I’m now retired so can choose to book my flights with airlines that actually value their customers business.
I'm a frequent BA flier (ex gold card currently silver) and it's just so hit and miss even in business. Ranging from being addressed by name when offered a welcome drink, to not getting one, or from friendly attentive service to having the call bell go unanswered until I pressed it a second time (which shouldn't even happen in economy, I mean how hard is it?) Seems like an inconsistent level of care or training between different crews. I really hope they can sort themselves as I'm kind of stuck with them flying long haul out of LHR several times a year - plus the brand should be a bit of an ambassador for the UK and it's not doing a great job of that at the moment.
@@tr0ublegum I agree, it’s a pity that the national carrier has had such a poor reputation for so long but I’m not sure what can be done as the culture of contempt for their customers that seems to come from the CEO down has been like this for the 20 years that I had to fly with them.
The last time I flew with BA was in 2022 when I cashed in all my Avios after retiring and I took the family to Turkey in Club World. To be fair the outbound flight was OK (fine as it was only a 4 hour flight) but the return leg was a nightmare. We had the misfortune of having a disruptive passenger in our cabin who clearly should not have been allowed to board (the usual, too much alcohol). Not only did the crew do nothing when he started drinking from a bottle of wine he’d brought on board but they flatly refused to intervene when he started to racially abuse a Spanish couple sitting behind him. Fortunately there were a couple of seats two rows back so they could get away from him.
You did a really great job, thanks a lot for sharing! 👍😄👏
Love your videos Tim. We have a new drinking game while watching… every time Tim says ‘gutted’ you have to take a drink 😂😂
I’m flying BA business to Boston next week. Hope it goes better than this!
I really appreciate you constantly "taking one for the team" with some of the experiences that you have been through for our entertainment. Credit to ya! The window issue, as others have said surely its just polite to ask and discuss! There needs to be a cull of rude people - would leave half the Earth vacant for us nice people ! 🙂
Has anyone got any lemsip? 🤣 you crack me up! Love the review- I travelled business class with British airways a few years ago… really didn’t see the fuss it was not up to the standard you’d expect of an expensive ticket! Another great video thanks Tim!
I was a very loyal BA customer for years flying business from IAD to LHR 6x a year for work. I remember when it was ok, at times good. It hasn't been that way in a long time. I still fly with them, but not as often. Ahhh, she wants some shut eye, let the window stay closed. 😊Bummer no cream tea. I always liked that.
The business class and first class on most of the planes have been updated too be the newer standards and the a380 is getting its update soon i think. I fly business a bit as my dad flies for BA and the standards have dropped but most of the cabin crew are very friendly if you chat to them and laugh at their jokes, theres always a good treat after that :)
The window question is all about who would suffer from the glare. If you have to turn to see even a sliver of the window it's probably best to leave it to the other person.
If you can spare a week, you can sail to New York on the Queen Mary 2 for way less than half of what you paid, in the lap of luxury with all meals included. Then £100 to fly on to LA. Or, even better, stay on board and sail home.
What an excellent idea!❤
The guy literally said go to the lounge at B gates so I struggle to see what’s hard about that. BA currently have a promotion if you book a holiday for 5 nights or more you get double tier points. 600 TP gets you Silver Membership with lounge access. A trip from Newcastle to New York in business class with a hotel gets 720 TP so a up to two years membership where you can use the lounges even if flying economy. Alternatively you can do 2x 5 day holiday trips to Sofia or Bucharest or Malta or Marrakech also gets you up to 2 years of membership With the constant sales and promotions eg starting in Dublin or another European city reduces the fares to around. £1600 return if booked 6 months in advance hardly anybody is paying normal Club Fares.
14:20 if the window is 50/50 and you want it up and they want it down, its just whoever is the better gentleman.
Regarding the window: I am perhaps more light and direct sun sensitive than others, but I think that the window should be closed in favor of a passenger’s comfort if that’s the issue. Yes, it would have been nice if they asked you too, but my first guess was that the light must have been hitting her directly in an uncomfortable way. If it had been the other way around - opening a closed window that was more in your territory, then that would be rude. Love your videos, Tim!
I know a BA pilot lovely kind man he was a captain retired a few years ago .love to gabby an Casper 🏴❤️❤️❤️
great review. thank u for sharing. As for the 3 windows I would not have a problem with her closing that window. You have one window in the middle which is all you need. she probably wanted to sleep and the light from that window was in her eyes. really loved this review!!!!
That’s the first time I’ve ever seen anyone have a side salad with a salad! 🤣 Too much salad 🥗
