Love the show and the guests. Brian always does a superb job as a host. Katrina is extremely loveable and fun to watch. I'm proud to be on the show, but first and foremost I'm a fan of the show.
Good to see you, Diamond Jim!
The master of dad jokes graces us with his presence.
COLESLAW!!!!!
Big fan of you
Ah the paperclip trick! I completely forgot about that, but I used to do it back in elementary school!
Ditto, and that was nearly 40 years ago.

40 years ago seems about right. I can't remember whether it was in a Dynomite! magazine, or a book that I got off the bookmobile that included 'tricks' like flipping an egg, crushing a beer can one-handed (before they were aluminum), or catching a pile of coins stacked on your elbow.
Was that one of the state quarters? Did you ever see the original Texas quarter designed by Texas A&M students? They had to recall them because the tape holding the two dimes and nickel together kept getting stuck in Coke machines.
I learned that paper clip trick from a friend in elementary school, but I haven't thought about it in years! Thanks for the refresher, Magical Katrina.
Katrina is rocking that 40's pin - up girl look.
Observation about woman's appearance instead of her talent because heaven forbid we stop valuing women on their looks before everything else.
@@styfen Oh, come on! FOR REAL?? He didn't say anything offensive about her. He didn't even emphasize her beauty. He just referred to her outfit and her style. SO SENSITIVITY MY GOD!!
@@styfen Noticed how many times people have commented on Brian"s look? Spiked hair?
That must be very very wrong too, then...
@@styfen she works on her appearance, gives a lot of thought to it, its part of the presentation
I’m pretty sure she has the same magic book as the one in the GW Carlson school library in 1982.
Pure gold
I love the one guy's story as he performed the paperclip trick! Hahaha so good!
That look at the camera at 1:53 cracked me up to an extent which is wholly unreasonable.
Kind of disappointing episode this one......
Love this show, this also made me seek out Magical Katrina's stuff online, something I meant to do after seeing her on Penn & Teller but by the time the show ended and I'd seen other acts I'd completely forgotten. Just such a nice uplifting style she brings to everything.
Of course Brian is great too, but I think he knows that
Thank you!
Just tried this and it doesn't work with UK notes, our new plastic ones don't stay folded flat 😔
...and our coins are tiny, too. The Royal Mint hates magicians.
@@glyndavies i'm pretty sure a quid would work, if the notes stay folded. I think the effect could be tweeked so it uses a stack of two or more notes instead of one folded one, and the new notes actually help, the patter could include a bit about the clear window making one half of the note heavier than the other, maybe blag that it's not enough to balance a single note that way, but if you stack them up it it is, now all we need to do is work out how to load a quid into a stack of fivers . . . any ideas?
This is an old trick by David Copperfield
Thank you for the video! ☺♥•
The paperclip trick is great. I think I learned it from Mr. Wizard.
WHAAAAAA Justin and Brian together again!? Last time I saw them they were interviewing Turquoise Jeep on NSFW!
Omg i watched this channel 12 years ago religiously, I just remembered this channel googled spiky hair RUclipsr doing magic tricks 😅. I’m a long time fan! And I see no more spiky hair 😢 really glad you still upload
In the second trick if you don't want the clips to go flying add a rubber band to one of the folds...the band will stay on the bill, but the clips will link to the rubber band.
I remember both of those from the 80's, maybe on Owl TV or Mr.Wizard, something like that.
What’s Boeing been up to down in Texas lately that makes them “the magic word” of the day?
There are other variations of this displayed on the numberphile channel which are very fascinating.
Great Katrina, two favorites 😊👍😊👍😊
Looks like I missed the Boeing pun from 2 years back...
I learned the 2nd trick from Mickie Mouse in the 1980s
I literally only clicked on this because I saw Andrew Heaton!
Magical Katrina is freaking awesome! I love her!
I would love to see the Fed chairman J Powel bust this out in an interview.
i think i remember seeing the paperclip trick on shari lewis or similar kids show when I was a kid
Why you no leave links to their RUclips channels
How do you take out the coin when you hand them the cash?
The linking clips comes in a lot of beginner magic books.
Congress is responsible for fiscal policy. The Fed handles monetary policy. But close... (way cool tick)
congress in the constitution is responsible for monetary policy but abrogated it to the fed
The man in the suit has a perfect voice for politics

She is so beautiful and so talented!
Figured out first one before Brian
Paper clip trick, fun trick. I know it's pretty old. But I wonder who created this trick? Does any magician take credit for it?
that thing with the paperclips appears in MARK WILLSONS COMPLEAT MAGIC COURSE a great book you should look it up
the other thing I first saw in a DAVID COPPERFIELD interview So there
Hi Brian, its always good to see ya buddy boy. Lol
I hope you are well.
Thanks for showing this to us. I have learned this before, but i forgot.
Did you post this on you tube before? I think that is where i saw this at.
Peace and love, Glen
Ps. I knew the paper clip trick. That is an oldie, oldie.
Can i borrow a fiver, but not for magic tricks, lmao.
A great variation of the paperclip trick is to add a rubber band around one flap of the bill before adding the second paperclip. When you pull, not only will the paperclips link but they will also link to the rubber band.
Justin sounds almost exactly like Jason and Brian combined, which was a bit confusing.
Learned the paperclip trick from Numberphile. It never gets old :)
First magic. I Knew it, but I miss the hiding tecniche. 🙂
second: Wow!
We love magical Katrina! And we've been doing that second trick for years! Awesome!
Great vid
I remember learning the paperclip trick as the leaping paperclips or the starcrossed lovers
You can also have them mark the paper clips and see if they can catch them when they go flying off for even MORE! magic effect. :)
You should say that the trick to this one is inflation and then show the quarter.
While the first trick was great, it would have been better if the reason the political podcasters couldn't balance "Honest Abe" was because they aren't honest.
"Oswald Cobblepot." 😂
"Don't do that part." 😂🤣😂
You should have closed captioning on your videos.
If only RUclips still allowed Community Captions
So good! We hope to see more magical katrina in the future. She’s really funny.
I’ve seen the 2nd one a millions of times.
Where’s the bikini
Right!!! Totally that 40's pinup look.
It’s a bit early in the year, especially after COVID for Brian to be getting into a bikini.
