    Awesome! This is the exact reason why I use this string. Was looking for a Luxilon alternative and loved this string.

    I am currently using a reel of Tourna BHS in 17g in my Phantom Pro 93P 18 x 20 at 53lbs mains and 51lbs in the crosses. The ball pocketing is great and spin is average. The touch shots are exceptional and beyond your wildest dreams at leas than $7 a set.

    Interesting review thanks. I’m just trialing Duraflux and comparing to Black Knight.
    Of greater interest…… When did you change to the Pure Aero VS??? How do you find them??

    I played with dozens (maybe 40 at least) of polys over the years. No doubt this one is one of the best, and the best in that range price

    Long-time fan of Tourna strings. You should try Big Hitter Black 7 if you haven't tried it yet. It's a shaped poly but I find the feel to be pretty decent.

    How is the tension maintenance on this string? (Also would you recommend it in a gut/poly hybrid?)

    • @coryhoi7764
      @coryhoi7764 3 года назад +1

      I think the tension maintenance is better than alu power, when strung at low tension (50 lbs.)

    I use Silver Tour. Stiffer, more durable, a lil more spin. But super pingy lile alu power. Should give that a try in the future!

  • @homosapien5156
    @homosapien5156 3 года назад +3

    Even if Alu power was better, paying 20 dollars for a single set when there are very good strings of a third of that price is just lazy, stupid or both.

    I use the silver rough. I suggest that as hybrid main with round softer Poli cross for spin snapback, bite and comfort.
    No power but good length

    I am a fan of the Big Hitter brand, full or hybrid bed it does give great pop without the Lux pitch (ear & pocket)

    Is there a difference between the Black 7 and the Silver or is it just a different name for the different colour like almost all brands name their strings?

  • @CH-yp5by
    @CH-yp5by 3 года назад

    Nice review, I might try this with a hybrid setup with some natural gut, the low cost of this string can help balance out the high cost of the gut.

    Many average or unexperienced tennis players as your self get fooled by the Tourna Big hitter with Luxilon ALU. ALU has by far the best feel from all the polys which stands out and separates from all the strings out there. Why do you think pros use them still in the pro tour (for 20 yrs now since they came out)and not Tourna Big Hitter as this?

    • @johnnyguitar6697
      @johnnyguitar6697 Год назад

    • @kelseykelsey1248

      Alu power extremely over rated. loses tension rapidly.
      plays dead after 10 hours.
      And feel? Really?
      It just sucks. Tourna Big Hitter blue 17 beats Alu in every category at half the price.
