    I strung up my Babolat Pure Strike 3rd Gen 18x20 with the Fire @ 17 gauge 46lbs. It retained the control and feel, but gave added power and depth of shot that my previous string (RPM Blast) could not. The Pure Strike is not the easiest racquet to use, but with this string, it becomes almost like a current-gen Ezone 100. Effortless swinging but with controlled power and good feel. Slices, especially on the forehand, were razor sharp and the ball barely bounced.
    I've read that this string is widely used only for crosses in hybrids due to it being so slick, but I really enjoyed hitting with a full bed. It transformed my racquet into a point-and-shoot, put it where you want it stick, where previously I had to swing really fast to get good depth. My stringer warned me that this string could cause elbow problems due to its stiffness, but it felt plush and comfortable with no pain in the arm. The best part is that it matches the colour of the Pure Strike so well. It's become my go-to string for this racquet.
    Thanks for your review that introduced me to this string! Much appreciated. There are agonisingly few reviews of this string on the internet.

    Yo Mark question. When you measure the stringtension, do you only use your machine as reference to the start tension, or do you measure with the tourna as well? I find it somewhat hard to believe that strings increase in tension. But if that is the case, maybe it's a good idea to show the tension before and after by using the tourna tension meter.

    • @curttheboywonder
      @curttheboywonder 2 года назад

      While I certainly appreciate his content, it’s hard to understand how a string can possibly increase in tension. That would seem to defy any law of physics. He must be measuring inconsistently in some way shape or form.
