Just got one yesterday and it worked great smokin' ribs... :-) Registered for the 3 year warranty, nice!!
Robert Kohut does yours have an alarm for low temperature for smoking? As in can you set an alarm for if the temperature drops below a certain temperature?
@@surfearth1 Yes, it alarms at both the high and low temp settings you configure for your cook. :-)
How did you register for the warranty?
@@jeremysmith6359 Can't remember now but I think a card with instructions was included when i bought it... :-)
Robert Kohut you bought it off amazon?
I got this for Christmas today and used it as soon as I unwrapped it for a brisket I was smoking. WOW! The alarm went off when I was in the house and the smoker was out on the patio. I really like this little device. It's only been one brisket later but I really like this tool. 5 stars!
I've had a few different thermometer cooking probes, by far this one is 100%
I think its definitely the best
This was a great quickstart guide, thanks!
Can you turn off the sound? I sometimes don't want the beeping on.
For TP20 sync issues..
Insert batteries in receiver
Insert probes into transmitter
Insert batteries in transmitter
Hold down Mode button for 3 seconds.
Enjoy 😁
Correct!
Rifter Thank you! Mine stopped syncing yesterday and now it works perfectly again after doing this. Thanks again!
Thank you, it worked perfectly!
Thank you! I've been going outside in the cold all day and I've been looking for this info!
OMG!! THANK YOU!
thank god y’all had a vid. life saver!
IF YOUR HAVING SYNCING ISSUES HOLD DOWN THE MODE BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS!........Next time put that in the video. I almost returned this back to Amazon.
Thank you, I hope you have a good day today.
@@billb13 Haha Happy to help friend. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Saved my bbq, may the bbq gods bless u with a good bbq
@@israelperez8289 No problem! haha thanks!
Thank you, that's the only reason I'm here
I’ve had mine in the cupboard for a few years just found it now trying to see how it works do I have to use both the probes or can I just use one
Thanks, simple straight forward directions
Very nice tool! I just miss one function that should be easy to realize:
For preparing yogurt, I heat up milk and have to wait for a certain lower temperature. It is not possible to activate the alarm when the gradient is negative.
Or did I miss something?
Great video
Is there any way to get rid of the beeping sound when pushing the buttons? Thanks!
can you tell me how to set the timer for hours rather than just minutes and seconds?????
I have one coming tomorrow.. hopefully it wasn't a waste of $
What does the flashing "HHH" mean?
How do I use this to check my temperature for smoking meat? I want the temperature to be 225f
Can you not set things to medium rare and rare?
Can you use it in a airfryer?
Mine does NOT SHOW the OVEN???? Thats what I need the most, PLEASE HELP!
Just got this and when I put the probe in get no temperature reading but get beeping and a triple flashing HHH and can't seem to stop it. Now what?
I have the same exact problem. It did this right out of the box. The Thermopro web site suggests the probes are damaged. So they're damaged from the factory. Nice.
Hey, Dillon or Dylan, are you still around? You are such a naturally good spokesperson for Thermopro - I just want to complement you! I need to buy another one - and this one seems to fill the bill. Thanks! Be well - stay safe! Rob
Hey Robert, here's the link to the TP20: buythermopro.com/product/thermopro-tp-20-digital-wireless-meat-thermometer/. If you are looking to buy the unit on Amazon, here's the link to the product as well: www.amazon.com/ThermoPro-Wireless-Digital-Cooking-Thermometer/dp/B01GE77QT0/.
What does it use for temperature if set to Rare Beef?
the video needs to go into setting temps for 2 probes.
Press and release the mode button, it should switch to the second probe.
ThermoPro is there instructions in the packaging?
@@andresparra2254 not all the instructions you need and this video fucking sucks.
It wont stop chirping
I would not recommend smoking. You can set an alarm for a temperature too high, but you cannot set an alarm for too low. Besides that, great product
^^^ this is horrible advice. You don't need an alarm for too low.
@@RickRobichaudDG You must be new to smoking. Too low is as bad as too high. Smoking with hard wood at too low a temp will result in white puffy smoke and make whatever you are cooking bitter and inedible if not tended to. Temperature consistency is everything on long cooks.
@@wtmac02 You are right. Looking back, I think I read the comment wrong. I have thermometers with alarms for low temp and it's great. My apologies, @Howdy1836
Use mine all the time on my smoker. No idea what you are talking about.
What if they don't pair automatically? What can be done?
Anyone know how to recalibrate it?
what is the big difference between the tp07 and tp20?
TP07 has 1 probe and TP20 has two.
about tp13
Can you use it without any presets or alarms? Basically just use it as 2 real-time thermometers?
Yes, you can use without presets and alarms.
Wow. An "official" video from the manufacturer and I still don't know how to change between probes to program 2 different temps. Worthless
Rewatch... at the 2:20 mark it tells you how to set the temp. Do it for probe 1 and then hit mode to get to probe two and go through the same thing.
How do you change the exact temperature not taste
On prog (program)
It’s Turkey time!!
The Target Temperature on the receiver is 80F, but the transmitter's temperature reading is 88F. Does it take the alarm that long to respond? 3:19
Took only like 4 sec or so to beep after 80 degrees.
OMG did you see the way that meat probe slide right into that meat.
I bought my TP-20S few months ago. It doesn't have an Oven setting. Was this setting removed from the unit?
I was wondering the same thing. In the manual, the section heading says "How to monitor BBQ/Oven temperature" - so I guess that's the setting. They should update the video because it is confusing.
Did you maybe get the chinese knockoff version accidentally?
Any clue how to calibrate it? I ruined both my probes and got new ones but they read ice water at 63 degrees. I can't find anything in the manual either.

Hi folks, my TP20 just arrived today. All is good. However, I watched this video and saw as you scrolled through the MEAT options you showed OVEN so you can set the internal oven temperature. When I scroll through MEAT, OVEN does not show as one of the options.
Has this changed since this video was recorded, or am I missing something?
Hi Patrick,
This may have been changed to BBQ in our latest version of TP20.
@@ThermoPro Thanks yes, I eventually figured that's what it must have been. I like how the BBQ settings have a High and a Low Temperature to set the temperature range. Perfect for a long low and slow cook with charcoal. This is an excellent product. Thanks very much.
Mine will not sync. Any resets. Thanks

Your video falls a tad bit short. How do I get it out of programming. Mode after I get my temp set.
If you set your own temperature, it will continue to display PROG at the top.
Oven setting work for a smoker as well?
Yes
Any way to mute the button press “beep”?
Not possible on this model.
What’s the difference between the TP08 and the TP20?
TP20 has preset meat temperatures and TP08 doesn't.
I got one used once now its blinking?

It does!

No low alarm ?
It has a low alarm now, yes.
mine just has 3 dot lines across. it wont pair

I did this but both devises read HHH
Please contact us: buythermopro.com/contact-us/
@@ThermoPro Why can't you give us help online? Mine reads HHH. Today is Sunday and you are closed.
@@clarkrudy3479 Hi Clark, we're looking at expanding our hours.
Calibrate?
You can't calibrate with this model.
POS stopped transmitting mid cook with fresh batteries. Now refuses to transmit at all. Shows temp on base unit but receiver just shows - - -. Not cool.
Dang. Sorry to hear. Please contact us buythermopro.com/contact-us/ and we'll get this resolved right away.
This is the exact one I have now and just like other thermo pro products I have had it is the worst Thermometer I have ever.
Has anyone tried this for making candy such as nougat or cake?
We have plenty of users using our thermometer for this purpose.
My kingdom for magnets on the backs of these things. smh
But with today's crap electric ovens what we need is a remote oven thermometer. Not a meat thermometer. Right now its set at 420, but analog gauge reads 350. It's a trash Samsung glass range.

How fuckin much
you're going to fast...
Our apologies and thanks for the feedback!
This video is embarrassing. Like a robot reading the manual. Not a mention of how to adjust the different probes.
I just ruined a $53 brisket, this device cost $52 on Amazon....
