This was awesome to see! I am planning on getting a vizsla in the beginning of next year, so this gets me excited and less anxious. You had some great tips in there, which I will definitely be implementing once my pup will be old enough to do this with me. The first step was done. I got a mountain bike instead of a city bike ^^
Tekla - I've had my female Vizsla for 6 months now - you'll never regret your decision to get one. They are magnificent animals. Mine is a friend of every dog and human at our local dog park! I'll be trying biking now that the weather is getting warmer - but will probably only do it off leash in a local back country park.
My Vizsla is 3 months and I would love to be able to do the same with my bicycle. Right now when walking her she gets distracted and stops when she see birds. I wonder if this will happen while bike riding with that attachment. Does Kobe stop to look at the birds while walking and/or running along your bike ride? Should I wait until my Vizsla gets older?
I just started to bike ride with him. Birds have not bee. A problem but Squirrels have been 😁. We are working on it he will learn to ignore other stuff while riding he is very smart. I would not bike ride with your Vizsla until she's an adult. For exercise it's recommended 5 minutes for every month of age. And they say you can do twice a day so if your V is 3 months no more then 15 minutes. When I first got my Vizsla I was exercising more then that until I learned the right amount of time. Best of luck with your V. They truly are the best. 😁
No.1 rule for a bike riding with a dog is NEVER EVER to leash your dog to the bike. I understand if your concern is that he will run to the road- this is why you should only go biking with your dog in the nature, where there is no risk from traffic. What you did here is irresponsible and dangerous for both of you.
Hi! i just got my vizsla two weeks ago i have been watching for 2 years now! In just a week he has learned 8 commands, such a smart breed.

Yes I know it's hard. Took me almost 3 years to get Kobe after I lost my boxer. Best of luck on getting another one 😁
