Loving your videos about your Vizsla. My girl is 10 months old. They are the best dogs! I wanted to offer a bit of advice about ear cleaning. My girl had dirty ears on her first trip to the vet and for a few weeks after and her breeder informed me that I could try different foods. On an agreeable food, their ears should not be dirty. I check my girls ears and give them a cursory cleaning every week or two, but they are practically spotless no matter how much time she spends outdoors. The food I give her is Orijen puppy. Of course every dog is different, so that food might not work for you.

Thank you so much! That is super helpful. Her ears are always very dirty and our vet said it was fine 🙈 we’re actually looking to change her food, so this was perfect timing 🙏🏼 TY I appreciate you posting and helping us out!

@@BecomingADogOwner I'm so glad! My vet also didn't think it was a big deal and just wanted to sell me ear cleaner. I hope you get it cleared up. Looking forward to your next video :)

She’s beautiful. Our vizsla girl turns 2 this summer and she’s just as spoiled, though we’ve never thought about moisturizing her pads.

It’s hard not to spoil them!
We don’t do it all the time but hers get noticeably dry and cracked. They look so much better after moisturizing!

I am new to your channel and plan on getting a Vizsla myself in a few months. I plan on doing a very similar cleaning routine as this starting right away in puppyhood. I take it that's what you did too in order for her to be so calm and agreeable? VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Congrats on getting your V 🧡
Willa has been super calm since she was a pup, so we are lucky there. We tried the bath tub first and she does not like it. She prefers the shower and getting rinsed with the shower head. Lots of treats in the beginning too! But now she likes it :)
I also pup sat an English Springer spaniel that hated baths and she was totally comfortable in the shower!

We are researching our next active family dog. What is your Vizsla’s shedding like?

I'm posting a cleaning your home with a dog video on Friday, make sure to check it out for tips!
Vizsla's have some shedding, but it's super short and sheds seasonally. However, compared to other breeds, Vizslas tend to shed a lot less! it's much easier to manage :)

@@BecomingADogOwner thanks! I had a border collie growing up and my husband and I had two Australian cattle dogs (they passed 2021). They were Super high energy, active and so smart. We did obedience, flyball, agility… But their double coats shed so much!
Does regular brushing limit the hair loss indoors? Will watch your cleaning video too! Thanks.
