I accidentally got a Vizsla (Lab cross) as a rescue - he was assumed to be more Lab but as he’s gotten older he’s DEFINITELY more vizsla 🫢😂 we’ve had to up our activity levels and mental stimulation but I love that his temperament is SO friendly and safe around children & other animals (we have a toddler and cat in the home and he’s never been an issue) 🫶
I have had 2 vizslas and I'll never be able to live without one again. So stunningly beautiful and hilarious and full of energy. Also mine is great with kids
I had a wonderful Vizsla named Bell. She passed away a few months ago so seeing this did make me feel emotional. She was just as loving and affectionate as mentioned and she really did have the bad separation anxiety. She also REALLY loved food and used to lick the ground for any possible crumb she can get into. We fed her plenty too but she acted as if we hardly feed her! She has made me laugh many times. When I would cry she also used to lay all over me to try and cheer me up. I miss her so much.
Thank you for posting so much info about Vizslas! We inadvertently adopted a Vizsla this January from our local shelter (she was listed as a Doberman mix! 😝). These videos have helped us understand why our Mocha is the way she is and how to adapt things to help her be happier and healthier.
Hi! I just found your channel and am loving watching you thrive with Willa! I have a 9 month old V and would love to hear your experience on how you trained Willa off leash since we are currently struggling with that part of training.
I am pet sitting for a Wissler and this Wissler has really extremely droopy eyes and a lot of dry skin around the eyes. I was just wondering if that’s normal as far as the droopy eyes go and maybe he might be allergic for the weepy eyes in the morning, I’m always taking the goop out of his eyes in the morning and then he has crusty over the top and bottom of his eyes. Again, I’m pet sitting for these people so I’m just trying to do what’s right for him.
my 1 year old male V is currently in detox and eats anallergic food only (used also as treats). Before his ears were quite dirty and he was producing a lot of unpleasant gaz...with the anallergic food everything got better... now the next step would be to swtich to monoprotein food...any advice or comment?
Willa’s ears were very dirty when she was eating chicken based foods, we switched her to red meat (mostly beef) and her ears cleaned up right away! We received this tip from a subscriber 😊 We buy stewing beef from Costco, the raw meat has been a staple in her diet and she’s been really healthy. Luckily she isn’t too gassy so we haven’t had to deal with that yet.
@@BecomingADogOwner I have no doubt that you learned it that way, only, it's not correct Think about the name Zsa Zsa Gabor That is how the zs is pronounced Greetings from Pest, pronounced,"Pesht"
I've been watching your videos for a long time and LOVE the Vizsla! Thank you for providing the best info on youtube about owning a Vizsla.
That means so much thank you!

@@BecomingADogOwner As it should be.
One thing that you don't know is how to pronounce Vizsla
Please google “vizsla pronunciation”
Vee-sh-la is the correct pronunciation
@@BecomingADogOwner I have no doubt that you learned it that way, only, it's not correct
Think about the name Zsa Zsa Gabor
That is how the zs is pronounced
