    This is perfect, I've just recently decided that I needed to incorporate side lunges in my workout regimen. I've done side lunges before but I was feeling pressure on my knees and decided to google proper form. Tried it again with your suggestions and everything felt great. Thank you!

    Used to hate side lunges cause of the pain in my left knee but just tried it and proper technique works great! Thanks so much dr. Jen!

    I find doing side lunges via using a barbell landmine attachment works amazingly well. That setup prevents the problems you describe given the bar position. Easy way to add load also.

    Excellent, thank you for this! I usually don't watch demos with captions that read "pain" in them...bc i hate to admit that I'm feeling my age 😢
    However, i am finally able to come to terms with my aging body parts and I really appreciate this tutorial! 🙏🙂

    (I'm on my bf's account rn) but thank you so much for this!! it was exactly what i needed, i tried it and felt immediate relief on my knee! i am wondering if i need to do anything to strengthen/ stretch my knees since i have that same and other similar pains when doing yoga and sometimes while going down stairs
