No this will definitely not be any better than smartphones,if anything but worse, simply because this has a smaller sensor(1/2.3 inches) against typical (1/2 or 1/1.7 inch) sensors found on smartphones at 200 usd,and combine that with significantly better software processing, there is absolutely no way, this bridge camera can beat a smartphone form 2022,there are just a few advantages, and for that someone should consider this, first is zoom, which in unparallel to anything else, and the other might be background blur(but only on higher zoom levels),other than that,i think bridge cameras are.in no mans land, they dont have apsc or ff sensors of dslrs, and they definitely dont have the computational photography of smartphones
@@akhyarrayhka4048 then buy yourself a dslr, not a bridge camera, you can easily find a nikon d5200/d3300 or canon 600d for this price with their kit lenses, and they will give you VASTLY better image quality, yes they might not have as much zoom, bit you can always upgrade your glass
@@-_--le3zk that camera can be mounted with expensive lenses that could easily go twice or thrice the price of the body, heavy too. so my point saying that its a bridge camera that you should not worry (except worrying about the video quality)
thats assuming you have a smartphone from 2022?? this camera is definitely better than my iphone 8 camera. maybe not in every single area but overall for the purpose of photography? yeah, it is better than a lot of smartphones. most people looking for a $100-200 camera (or $70-80 used) definitely dont have a $1k+ 2022 smartphone

Yes 👍 is
I don't recommend this camera to anyone. I had DSC HX300. It is so much flimsy. Mode switch was off and costs me alot to fix it. Then oss system was broken. You can see in aliexpress just because of oss failure many people are buying and implanting new lens or oss system. A total headache.
I love my a5100, a6000, ZV E10 and previous Sony camcorders, but this one I hated.
@@AyhanÇapan-j8d looks like you had the worst experience ever! Glad that you have other cameras that give you more pleasure 🙏
Can we use this camera as an webcam for a laptop ?
Not sure to be honest hopefully someone has the answer
I need a camera in 100$ just for photography, any idea which on to buy?
Maybe something old and secondhand?
@@GaryJahman What About Nikon D3300?
@@Chughtaii that’s a nice one to start with
I have the same model of digital camera (Used but it does not include the lens cap), but the lens is smaller than the lens cap I bought from amazon. I bought ALCF55S which is bigger. so I wonder what model of lens cap you have.
Honestly I don't know 🤷 Its just the standard one that came with it 🤷🤷🤷🤷
my brother gave me a camera and i was wondering how do you take videos with the camera? taking pictures is easy but idk how to take a video
The big switch has a green camera icon ☺️
Is the H300 better than the H50?
That i do not know sorry
Warning, Sony cameras only seem to have a 3 year lifespan. The stabiliser stops working, you get a flashing E62.10 message and that's the end of your clear shots
Oh thanks for the warning
Really, has that ever happened to your Sony camera?
Thanks for your sharing. What would be your suggestions for streaming/vlogging within a small budget?
Thank you ❤️
I'd go with something like a action camera: GoPro or DJI action 👍
@@GaryJahman Great! Thanks Gary.
for a relatively cheap camera the zoom is very good.
That’s true
My camera just shows the battery sign and turns off, checked batteries they are good. Maybe in low light or something. Please advise
That’s weird, sorry but I don’t have a clue
Does the shutter of ds camera expires? I have a camera like ds, the video records nice, but when I take a photo the image turns white when it’s saved. Can u help me guess what’s the possible cause of it?
That sounds weird indeed. Also when you put it in auto mode?
@@GaryJahmanyes 😢
@@rem9808 oh then indeed something is wrong
I have the Sony cyber shot DSC-H10 which I purchased in 2009. Now I want to use it for RUclips videos and a short film. I am trying to figure this basic and simple camera but need advice on how to get it to take cinema type shots. I can fix it in Final Cut but want to get the most out of this old but capable camera. Any advice besides buying a new camera
You put yourself up for quite a challenge to use this! Try to control the lights as much as you can
Hi will it take ok videos
@@justsendit3217 expect budget android phone video quality
Not having a viewfinder is a very weird decision for this type of camera. The only reason why people wanted this type of camera is having a viewfinder. Confusing camera
Must be cost saving reasons? 🤷
What camera do you use to make this video when you are talking?
Sony A7 mark 3 👍
can the camera record voices?
Poorly
I do dog photography and after editing the quality is really good
That’s awesome!
I have its older version the h200 from back in the day and I was wondering if we could use this as a webcam for casual streaming if its even possible (would like to know how to as well given the battery situation and the usb to av cables and such).
🤔 good question, maybe when connected via a streaming hub
@@GaryJahman Oh.. Thanks mate. I'll give it a shot.
does this camera have low shutter speed?
Yep
@@GaryJahman do you know how to do it?

It is indeed! 😄😄😄
I use panorama pics all the time
That’s great usage!
The pohtos are onestlie Tilly gut

ive seen reviews saying that this camera needs the batteries changed constantly, have you found that to be true?
Yeah if heavily used then yes, make sure to bring a pack with you
No this will definitely not be any better than smartphones,if anything but worse, simply because this has a smaller sensor(1/2.3 inches) against typical (1/2 or 1/1.7 inch) sensors found on smartphones at 200 usd,and combine that with significantly better software processing, there is absolutely no way, this bridge camera can beat a smartphone form 2022,there are just a few advantages, and for that someone should consider this, first is zoom, which in unparallel to anything else, and the other might be background blur(but only on higher zoom levels),other than that,i think bridge cameras are.in no mans land, they dont have apsc or ff sensors of dslrs, and they definitely dont have the computational photography of smartphones
True, unless it's one of those expensive bridge camera's. But in general I have to 👍💯
these Camera meant to be used when you're traveling and you don't wanh to get mugged, especially your phone...
