i’m currently using the Reebok Craze 2. climb walls, rope climb, lift, carry, flip tires, carry sand bags, etc. can run 10, half marathon or marathon. i used them on crazy steep, rugged trails. it has drain in them. run through streams and the water drains out pretty quick and dry out fast. has a relatively stiff mid sole which i really like for this type of shoe. pretty cool for obstacle racing. the older Reebok All-terrain Super 3.0 were really nice. do some Spartan Races.

for more minimalist shoes, the Inov-8 Bare XF. pretty cool.

I’ve been using the f light 245 knits for about a year and half. I’m on my 3rd pair. I absolutely love these shoes! I wear them all day and to do all my crossfit and functional fitness in. They run pretty well on my air runner and I’ve logged well over 10k in them at a clip. So no issues there. My only issue is when I hit heavy yoke carries 400-550lbs they don’t seem to have the best support for that. Wondering what your thoughts are as I usually do 100m sprints or up to 200m on my air runner followed by heavy yoke carries most sundays. Was thinking about buying the metcon 7’s for this single workout. Also wondering what your thoughts are on the 235 v3’s vs the 245 knits vs the 260 knits?

Great question - I personally love the 235 V3s, they have this really cool barefoot-esque feeling that I don't think you get from most cross-training shoes. I think if you have stronger feet that perform well from a more "barefoot" standpoint, then this model will be solid for you. Plus, in sprints, this model feeds really well into forefoot strike mechanics, IMO.
Otherwise, the Metcon 7 will likely be fine, too, but if you like Inov-8's and how they fit, then I'd suggest sticking with what works well for you!
I like the 260s, but the 235s have a special place in my heart and I think that's because I wore my old pair for so long with no issues even when taking them hiking etc.!

i am a newbie looking to transition to minimalist sneakers and am looking for a pair that I can wear for ST. I am an overpronator and used to wear nikes until about a year ago where i was told that i needeed to get stability shoes like that of the Asics g 2000. Wish i didnt listen to the sales person bc it ended up injuring me so now im looking to intentionally transition to more minimalist and flexible sneakers. I don't want to go all out on the barefoot feel just yet since i need to slowly transition. I am thinking i might need two diff pairs of sneakers for the kind of workouts I do. An all rounder pair that i could wear to my training sessions + be able to do short runs in them afterwards ( up to- 5 miles) and a pair strictly for ST. I am thinking an altra escalante and/or either inov F-Lite 235 V3 or the inov G300s? I was also considering the no bulls and reebok nano x1.... suggestions? thoughts?

IMO, I think that's a really great game plan. By having two different models, you'll have shoes that are going to perform better per the context of your tasks and it takes away the struggles of finding a singular shoe.
I think if you went with either Inov-8 models, you'd be in a good spot with the Altras. The F-Lite 235 V3 will be much more maneuverable with their outsole construction and feel more minimalist in nature. The F-Lite G 300 feels much more like a traditional training shoe and would work as well if you want something a bit more rigid in nature!
