Side note: The last touge where you're going to face DK and Morimoto was shit with this physics tbh, better go against him with a stock car because it took me around 10 times or more the first time when I'm trying to beat them with a heavily tuned RX7 FD3S because of too much power was inside it.
I cheesed Morimoto by doing a doughnut on the second last turn before the finish (so long as you start a drift, the game doesn't care if you wind up doing a doughnut). DK honestly comes as kind of a pushover VS Mori.
Not gonna lie the handling in this game is weird to say the least, you have to set up cars for grip and drift separately and on top of that the physics of the different modes are also different, if set up correctly (took a lot of trial and error) cars are super grippy or super drifty and actually feel good to drive. Nice game though had a blast playing it on my ps2 back in the day.
This game is a mix up with Tokyo Xtreme Racer / Shutokou Battle and Kaido Battle / Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift or Kaido Racer. Even this has awful physics and really hard to drift but at least this game is better than Showdown and Crossroad.

Yeah it's a great game , i used to play it in my PSP back then except if you mention the physics even in AWD with grip tires, they still slide out of control
I like to call this game "Tokyo Extreme Racer 4 Feat. The Fast and The Furious" becuase it's literally just tokyo extreme racer but with the fast and the furious characters
Ok I'm getting low-key triggered here. I know the handling isn't the greatest and it's not simulation or super arcade where even a 5 year old can grip or drift, but man just learn it. The game's handling is legit not bad. I should know. I passed the game more than once. The tires affect the way the cars handle 100%. There's no way around that. There's also the fact that you need to actively control the throttle while you do the drifts and also the angle so that you don't spin out while trying to maximize the points. Makes it seem as if he didn't actually pay attention to the tutorial. This game was made back in a time where the developers understood that we could learn a game's handling and bring out the best of it. Now we have games that are either arcade (less than a 5yo can drive it) or simulation (where it's just better to buy a wheel setup bc it will feel slightly wonky with a controller). This game's handling is not bad even if it ain't great either. You just gotta try out the tires with whatever car you are using to make sure you have the right ones for how you drive. Other than that, if you are having trouble, then that's your problem. Not the game's. The only thing I can agree on is that the camera shake and the distortion of the background when one uses NOS is a bit too much and that the friction of the walls is also a bit too much. But you just gotta learn the courses and you'll be fine. Look far into the distance to look out for vehicles. Like, the things he complains about are things you can legit avoid and I am getting low-key triggered bc it ain't even the game that's bad. And even after you complete the game, you can go back and literally do whatever event you have done previously. It's not like they're locked or whatever bc you have done them. So you can keep buying cars and doing whatever you want to them and also experimenting and whatnot with what's best for grip and drift. There's also the fact that you don't have to be the fastest to win in drift. If I am not incorrect, my best drifting car is not the one that has the highest speeds, but the one that I can control the best. This means that it may not even have the highest upgrades available since that would make the car harder to handle while drifting. And even when I say all this, chances are I don't remember 100% what is my best drifting car bc it's been so long since I've played the game and it probably actually has all the upgrades maxed except for the tires since that affects the handling 100% like I mentioned. I more than likely just learned how to drift in the game and guess what, all of the drifts in the game that are shown to you are actually possible. Yes, even the one he says the game doesn't let you do (the Kanji drift I think it is [Edit: nope it's probably the manji drift.]. The one you gotta go side to side and is the main reason I paused the video to make this comment.). So, all in all, get good. XD The game's handling is not bad (unlike another NFS from 2015 whose handling was actually pretty bad even if one could fine-tune it). Sorry if this rant turned out very long, but I just had to say it.
I think played this game on ps2... well I remember playing a "Fast and Furious" game on ps2, it seemed like the cars literally had their tires made out of soup... and that the track was made out of glass...

I can agree that Tokyo Drift is the best in the Fast & Furious series, in fact, the only reason why Vin Desel made a cameo in the film is because he agreed to do it only if Universal gave him the rights to Riddick series, which they did do, hence why we got the film Riddick.

I like to call this game "Tokyo Extreme Racer 4 Feat. The Fast and The Furious" becuase it's literally just tokyo extreme racer but with the fast and the furious characters
YOOOOO I used to love this game holy nostalgia I forgot this existed
XD
The game's handling is not bad (unlike another NFS from 2015 whose handling was actually pretty bad even if one could fine-tune it).
Sorry if this rant turned out very long, but I just had to say it.
1:01 cinematics voice in ace combat x MOMENT
A game from my childhood. I thought i'd never see this thing again lol
The fact that Kuru didn't know that there was a Levin Corolla shows how big of a normie he, as well as other NFS youtubers are

When kuru downloads a file of wangan midnight maximum tune
I think played this game on ps2... well I remember playing a "Fast and Furious" game on ps2, it seemed like the cars literally had their tires made out of soup... and that the track was made out of glass...
There's a bug if you keep doing donuts during a Drift event you'll win easily any event
That intro was beautiful
This game is basically Tokyo Xtreme Racer+Need for Speed
5:55 HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO BRIAN?! HAHAHAH

HOW COULD KURU NOT KNOW ABOUT THE DIFFERNCE BETWEEN THE LEVIN AND SPRINTER BRO!??? HE PLAYED NFS 2015????
The way walls interact with your car reminds me of nfs 2015
The first time i played this, i hated it for the physics and drift events. But now maybe i'll play it again just bc of the Corvette lol
Again Javi with the edits!!!!
I remember the time when i defeated all of the boss just using high spec ae86 xd. The best car for drifting in this game is for me is that mustang in nfs tokyo drift, i forgot the year

this game fantastic. Cars awesome, Physics nice.
all Nissan S-chassis can swap with GT-R RB26DETT engine and can make 600 horsepower and top speed 220 MP/H.
Most of the opponent are some D1GP (D1 Grand Prix) Driver and formula drift USA drive like Ken Nomura, Kazuya Bai, Daijiro Yoshihara and most of all Stephan Papadakis (Knowtable known on Papadakis Racing)
I can agree that Tokyo Drift is the best in the Fast & Furious series, in fact, the only reason why Vin Desel made a cameo in the film is because he agreed to do it only if Universal gave him the rights to Riddick series, which they did do, hence why we got the film Riddick.
Riddick came out way before toyko drift lol what
@@contraband1543
Wrong film, that's The Chronicles of Riddick you may be referring to.
@4:12 too much camera vibration!
@9:52 ooohh Kuru crashed into a civilian car
Better title: the Fast and Furious game that doesn’t look or feel like a Fast and Furious game at all
