100% his best character because the Robot Devil has an actual character and lore to build upon but also Robot Hell is a world that could continuously be built upon as well. Characters like Homer Simpson for example are too 1 dimensional and with limited room for growth.

I think Dan Castellaneta voicing Robot Devil really shows his growth as a voice actor. He was never bad, but it feels as though a lot of his original voices for the Simpsons sounded really similar (they were all different characters, but you could usually tell it was Dan doing the voices. Homer, Grampa, Willie and Mayor Quimby for example all have different ways of speaking and accents, but all sound like they're the same person). The Devil sounds COMPLETELY different from the other roles he voiced on the Simpsons, so it's impressive that he adapted so well
Two things I'm more impressed by: 1. the fact that the devil can actually PLAY a solid gold fiddle and not have it sound discordant and terrible, and 2. the fact that whatever he's made of apparently is a lot denser than gold to do THAT to a solid gold fiddle.
gold may be solid but the fidde is still hollow. and pure gold is really soft, u can actually cut it pretty easily. its just that modern gold isnt very pure anymore and its usually just plated :P

He likely made them as backups after that incident. Also, he may be playing with some sort of rules, like he cannot replace or alter his own body without it getting destroyed in the first place. He is somewhat magical, forming contracts and pens from thin air, it's not completely out of the question he is divine in some sort of way, and is required to follow some untold laws.
