I appreciate how she went about making the packaging easier on people with arthritis and other mobility issues, and then advocating and fundraising for mental health. All in all, a phenomenal brand. Rare & Fenty are my only two favorite celeb brands!
I tried to do natural deodorants for over two years. I tried every kind you can think of. I wish they worked for me, but us hyperhidrosis girlies need that antipersperant action. Also your bangs are giving me major Daphne from Bridgerton vibes, but cuter! A Bridgerton inspired makeup series might be fun to do.
The lash serums all work because they're actually repackaged medical eyedrops! People were noticing that as a side effect they were growing extra lashes. It does mean that if you get it anywhere else by accident you'll start growing random hairs.

Hi Soph! Yes, I have found The Ordinary's niacinamide serum works better when I use it at night. However, I've discovered their hyaluronic acid serum is absolutely AMAZING and works well under makeup! The price point is also a plus.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic acid serum worked horribly for me under makeup 😳 it pilled so badly. The only Ordinary serums I can use under makeup are their Multi peptide serum and their Argiriline serum

Hi Soph! Sorry for being late but I may have a answer to your question about the water in America. As far as I know the tap water in America is different from the ones that we have in Europe. The water in America is pumped out from a Lake or a Water reservoir. That means you have to put disinfectants into the water. That could be chlorine or ozone. Maybe that could have reacted with your skin. Also, because these disinfectants can be expensive, many cities just don’t bother with them and pump out kind of dirty water. So yes, I believe your break out is possibly cause by the tap water in the US. Hope that helped!xx

I really love the sheglam bronzer shade in soft tan, on my porcelain to light skin. Its more of a contour shade than a bronzer to me. - Which I love. Also i love korean make up. I love to use romands palettes and love the kill the boss mascara in brown. - Which is very waterproof cant be compared to european waterproof mascaras. Soph, i waiting for a try korean makeup video from you. I would love to see that.😢🥺😍 But mind that foundation are much lighter and eyeshadows may appear too less pigmented. - bc korean make up stands for naturalness.💜😍

Likely the long plane ride that affected your skin. The air circulation system on planes can draw out moisture from the skin a cycles contaminats in the air. Hot tip. I had to give my bottle of The Ordinary niacinamide serum to my husband bc I could NOT get it to work for me. It would always ball up, no matter what I did/what I paired it with (this is without makeup). So you're not alone! It somehow works for his skin tho haha glad it isn't going to waste at least...
Try UKlash as a lash serum - it’s half the price of the olaplex one, and I promise it’s amazing. I’ve always had very short stubby eyelashes and now mine touch my eyebrows and are incredible!

The ordinary's niacinamide is quite thick in my opinion, it takes a while to absorb as well. My go to is the beauty drops one, it's lighter but the concentration is 2% higher so just beware of that
I had the EXACT same thing with my skin last month when I travelled, literally started to feel a little irritated on the flight- was a loooong one- and over the time I was away my skin didn't go crazy bad but was so much more bumpy and textured! Used same skincare, same make up so I think you're onto something with maybe the flight and water difference impacting the skin! 🧖♀️👌🏻

@sophdoeslife Karla cosmetics has multi chrome opal shades as well as duochromes and individual pigments (dolly and insomnia are STUNNING) and applied over their fix potion they look great and don’t budge, best thing is they come in little pots! I’m sure you’d love them xx

Maybelinne falsies mascara ♥️ color pop tinted moisturizer, elf plumping gloss. Vitamin C serum that I apply at night and a gel based moisturizer. And a nice face powder.
That niacinamide serum really upset my skin and I had the same problem. I now use the Byoma gel moisturiser (in the pink bottle), that has niacinamide in it and the Paula’s Choice 2% liquid exfoliant gets rid of my break outs really fast!

The Ordinary niacinamide serum is NOT under makeup friendly! I only use it at night under my night cream for just this reason. In the morning it will ball up as I'm washing my face. It does an excellent job but it will always ball up under anything.
The water in America is defo different. Every time I visit my fiancé my skin goes super bad from it and dries out easier and just lots of issues every time

It can peel if I use too much and I don't wait for other skin care to sink in 1-2 drops max and a good 10 mins before primer and make up 👍

Likely the long plane ride that affected your skin. The air circulation system on planes can draw out moisture from the skin a cycles contaminats in the air. Hot tip. Yeah, this Nude one especially, I think, you’ll love it, it’s so breathable, but buildable, and I have the same type of skin as you do, that’s why I decided to write you about it. The primer with h/acid is also just brilliant even in terms of skincare. Also the foundation is very affordable among the high-ends. I had to give my bottle of The Ordinary niacinamide serum to my husband bc I could NOT get it to work for me. It would always ball up, no matter what I did/what I paired it with (this is without makeup). So you're not alone! It somehow works for his skin tho haha glad it isn't going to waste at least...

Try UKlash as a lash serum - it’s half the price of the olaplex one, and I promise it’s amazing. I’ve always had very short stubby eyelashes and now mine touch my eyebrows and are incredible!
Soph you should try the uklash serum!! it’s much cheaper than the olaplex one and has absolutely saved my lashes!

The ordinary's niacinamide is quite thick in my opinion, it takes a while to absorb as well. My go to is the beauty drops one, it's lighter but the concentration is 2% higher so just beware of that
I had the EXACT same thing with my skin last month when I travelled, literally started to feel a little irritated on the flight- was a loooong one- and over the time I was away my skin didn't go crazy bad but was so much more bumpy and textured! Used same skincare, same make up so I think you're onto something with maybe the flight and water difference impacting the skin! 🧖♀️👌🏻

I use the ordinary niacinamide serum everyday under makeup every work day and have never had an issue. I think it might be hit or miss, it works with some foundations but not others

@sophdoeslife Karla cosmetics has multi chrome opal shades as well as duochromes and individual pigments (dolly and insomnia are STUNNING) and applied over their fix potion they look great and don’t budge, best thing is they come in little pots! I’m sure you’d love them xx

I use the ordinary serum your talking about and I do find it pills up depending on what base products I’m using. I’ve found specifically with spf’s I have this issue with it

Maybelinne falsies mascara ♥️ color pop tinted moisturizer, elf plumping gloss. Vitamin C serum that I apply at night and a gel based moisturizer. And a nice face powder.
That niacinamide serum really upset my skin and I had the same problem. I now use the Byoma gel moisturiser (in the pink bottle), that has niacinamide in it and the Paula’s Choice 2% liquid exfoliant gets rid of my break outs really fast!

The Ordinary niacinamide serum is NOT under makeup friendly! I only use it at night under my night cream for just this reason. In the morning it will ball up as I'm washing my face. It does an excellent job but it will always ball up under anything.

The water in America is defo different. Every time I visit my fiancé my skin goes super bad from it and dries out easier and just lots of issues every time
