I’ve had the ride or die lip balm and trust me it’s so solid for everyone to begin with! It does warm up and get soft if you keep the tube near a radiator and keep pressing the tube to make the product more malleable, eventually it will stay like that x
Late to this, but I use a tube roller key for these lip balms - takes all the effort out of squeezing them, and a useful thing to have for getting the last bits out of any squeezy tube product!
The products I actually love from elf are the ones you’re missing funny enough. The elf prime and stay finishing powder, in the shade fair, and the elf high definition loose powder in translucent are my favorite non flashback powders. As well as the elf clear brow and lash mascara, is the best drugstore brow gel. Thanks for the awesome video soph. Love you
I’m relatively new to elf, but my two favorite products: their poreless putty primer for an eye shadow primer and their holy hydration face cream for a moisturizer. The random dry spots on my face are gone almost immediately after using the face cream, I highly recommend it!
Yay! ELF is probably my favorite brand! Love to see you using their stuff! Makes me so happy! I felt EXACTLY the same way about the Bite Sized lip balm. Ridiculous chubby, chunky size! The tinted ones, Watermelon and Berry, are GORGEOUS formula and color/pigmentation wise, but they’re ridiculous to use. The Ride or Dies are super hard, but once you get the product out and on, they are AMAZING, like lip mask level moisture and pretty colors! Pro-tip, warm them up between your hands or something first, and they’ll be super soft and easy to get out. (To be honest, I just stick it between my thighs for a minute while doing skincare 😂) For powder, everyone LOVES the Halo Glow Powder. I’m more of a matte girl, (oily skin) but I’ve heard rave reviews! I use the HD Setting Powder. Also, with the bronzer, they make cool tone and warm toned shades, so it sounds like you got a cool one. I just checked, and you got the second depth but the cool one. You want Golden Daze. I can’t use warm bronzer, just cool contours, so I LOVE that they included contour shades! Their Primer Infused Bronzers and Blushes are also incredible powder options! I too hate those balmy highlighters, so I never bought that. They do have a precise brow pencil, which I have and prefer. They also have a great fiber brow gel, Wow Brow, which I LOVE! They also make an Putty Eye Primer, which is similar to Mac Paint Pot. I love that! And they make a Hydrating Under-Eye Primer that I’ve used for years. My dry under-eyes NEED it. I’m not a massive fan of the eyeshadow sticks as eyeshadow, although they are great for super fast, easy looks, but they really shine as eyeliners. I use them in the waterline, or I’ll go over regular liquid liners, and they are just gorgeous! Perfect Pearl and the Champagne one are stunning brightening the waterline, and they have so many gorgeous colors! I actually prefer the Lash It Loud mascara personally, and they just came out with a new one I have yet to try. I love the sheer lipsticks and their heart core lip balms! I’m a fan of tinted balms and more sheer lips, so those are my jam! I’ve also heard their satin lipsticks are great, but I’m not really a lipstick girl. They’ve also recently released a new Grip Primer that absolutely looks like a Hydro-Grip dupe! They also just released lip pencils and glossy lip stains! I use SO MUCH Elf makeup daily! Oh, and their Holy Hydration Cleansing Balm is also incredible! They have so many great products, at affordable prices, and ALL Vegan!!! ❤️
I love the Putty Primers! I actually use the matte one most, as I have combo skin with an oily T-Zone. Blurring out the pores and texture while mattifying does wonders! When my skin is drier, I use the original, and when my skin is breaking out, I use the acne one, usually with the matte one on top. The only one I don’t use is the luminous one because of my oily skin. The recent collection specific ones, the Cookies and Dreams one, is closest to the original, but a little creamier, and the newest Dunkin Donuts collab, Donut Forget Putty Primer, is closest to the luminous primer, with a subtle glow. Both supposedly have a subtle, sweet scent fitting the collection, but since luminous and creamy aren’t what I need, I didn’t buy them, though sweet, vanilla scents are my jam. Lol.
the ELF halo glow powder is an amazing setting powder! Not as intimidating as it sounds, it isn't a super glowy powder that'll make an oily skinned person look oily. But I'm in my mid twenties and I'm kind of over uber matte setting powder despite my oily skin. I use a matte foundation for oil control and the ELF powder looks incredible on top of it. Undetectable and flawless!! x
I actually got some elf eyeshadows in my advent calendar this year. I wasn’t expecting too much from them but tried them out on Boxing Day and omg I love them. Beautiful colours and they blended really nicely, I was very impressed especially considering how cheap they are as I usually go for high end eye shadows. Definitely going to be buying some more elf products!
The elf shadow stick looks amazing! When you said it was underwhelming I was befuddled. It's the perfect everyday, work, run errands, lunch just perfect everyday color, and.. looks amazing on you ♡
If you're looking for liquid blushes try the sheglam ones, they are so pigmented and buildable and they come in so many shades. Also their liquid countouring are great. Love you from Italy
hi! Long time ELF lover here, and almost my entire makeup bag is made up of ELF. I've seen a few people be really confused by the 'no budge' eyeshadows on RUclips - you have to let them dry down :) xx THEN they are no budge, they stay creamy long enough for you to work with on the eye and then they dry down to almost a powder. Also, pretty sure they mixed with the powder you set your eyelids with to be a little bit more underwhelming! Anyways loved the video, and you xoxoxo
I love elf’s halo glow powder!! It has a really subtle glow but no glitters, it’s so pretty! Also I really love the Burt’s bees cream blushes (the stick ones) they give a really nice glow
thank you and James for everything this year, even if I’ve cried so many times I lost count because of you both, have a great New Year, I’m so proud of you both and everything you’ve done this year, you are smashing it out of the park! see you in 2022, here’s to a better year and for things only to go on the up from here. can’t wait to see what it brings ❤️
Jenni you are such a legend!! Thank you so so much for all your support, your comments always put a smile on my face! Hope your 2022 is the best year yet🤍
I have some recommendations!!! I love ❤️ the no. 7 lip and cheek tint or the maybelline cheek heat for blush. And for bronzer i use the maybelline fit me concealer in a darker shade xx
I love elf so much!! My fave cream bronzer is pink honey face frosting and my fave cream blush is the one off of shein. Please do a full face of SHEIN their makeup is surprisingly good tbh I would love to see what you think x
My favorite is the primer infused blush in the shade always cheeky, I use it every day and it's just the perfect peachy rose shade for me!! It also lasts forever, it took me a year of every day use to hit pan on it, as you can see I would recommend for sure :)
Soph you, yourself and your videos are so therapeutic for me…..I really have had a very bad day going and watching your video changed my mood instantly. Thank you so much for spreading positivity ❤️❤️🥰
I do love elf, the mint melt primer is gorgeous! And the halo glow powder is so pretty. I can’t wait to try the putty bronzers they never have them in my boots or superdrug😩 loving the video soph!💗
I had trouble with the light putty bronzer shade even showing up on me and I have very fair skin! I had to get a few colors darker just to make them work on me. Weird.🤷🏻♀️I do absolutely love their new Brow Lift. It’s amazing!
elf is one of the only affordable brands available everywhere in new zealand! brands like maybelline, rimmel etc are actually relatively expensive here. it’s nice to see someone talking about this brand when it’s basically all i use :)
E. L. F luminous setting powder is by far my favourite powder. Iv tried many different brands and they dobt compare. The E. L. F one gives your skin a flawless look and its beautiful
I love the rose gold shadow stick as a base for my eyeshadow. It provides a really nice grip for my powder shadows. :D I also like to use it for my aegyo sal
My absolute favorite is the makeup melting balm to remove makeup. It's already affordable, but you only need a little bit to take off everything. All of the holy hydration products, and the prep and hydrate balm, which smooths out my pores so well.
The best cream/liquid blush I’ve ever tried are the Barry M ones!! They’re a squeeze tube, not greasy, give lovely coverage when patted out with the fingers I’m obsessed!
I have two ELF products I love. The first is their wow brow gel, works really well for what I'm after in a brow product and I love the shade (I layer black with unnatural coloured products to make them look a little less stark on my face). The second is their core lip shine, just a really nice hydrating lip balm with a nice amount of colour tint to it
I loooove the bite size eyeshadow in jalapeño, I recently went ginger and the combo of the warm greens with my hair look amazing! I used the putty eye primer with it and the primer itself looks patchy but as soon as eyeshadow goes over the top it looks incredible
I don’t even wear makeup anymore (mumlife) and yet I never miss a video, long time follower and I feel like soph is just like another friend now 😅 Thankyou for the uploads this year Soph as always your’re amazing, Thankyou 😘 xx
I was trying to watch this yesterday but I was too broken...I got told my gran had passed away, still broken about it but I didn't want to miss this upload! Happy new year when it comes to you, James and Pinky 🥰
The Elf Halo glow powder is my holy grail setting powder as it’s just the most beautiful loose powder I’ve ever used. I have dry skin too! I’ve actually used an entire pot of it and replaced it (that’s a first for me!). Hands down the best for setting my makeup. I can’t describe how pretty the finish is on it. I also like the pressed finishing powder and love the Perfect Finish HD powder to set my concealer as well as it reminds me of the IT cosmetics bye bye pores powder with a similar black package. I do not like the HD loose powder or the prime and stay pressed powder so don’t bother with those. 😬I hope this helps! I do like that brow pencil you used for a quick sort of one and done brow look. I’ve used it for years!
My favourite powder is the elf translucent HD powder. Tbh I’ve used it everyday for years. It’s not great for flash photo events but everyday wear it’s 10/10
Completely agree on the eue shadows beautiful on the hand underwhelming on. The small palette if you use the second colour in, very light mauve it's the rose palette is very nice
this is the video i needed !!! elf is the only reliable drugstore line i know that is vegan & cruelty free, so to see an honest review of their stuff is helpful 🌟 idea for a video - as it’s veganuary, maybe review solely vegan / cruelty free drug store lines? xox
I use a lot of ELF stuff as it's affordable and usually good shade range. The HD setting powder is good. I like the cream blush, putter primer, bite sized eyeshadows are lovely too, the brow pen is good I've got taupe which is perfect for me. Happy New year soph! Loved your videos this year and all the advice, saved me buying some epic fails 😅
The halo glow setting powder I love that power and elf has been my go to product’s lately and they came out with new products and new primer like a sticky one and a brow gel and lip liner excited to try
Best elf product for me is the putty eye primer! I use two cream blushes - stila convertible colour (very dewy) and glossier but I would love more drugstore options. I love cream products because they seem to wear off more evenly, instead of clumping like powder…
I honestly love the ultra precise brow pencil in neutral brown (wearing it in my pfp haha) it may be $3 more than the instant brow lift but it works so much better for me
Hope you are doing well! The e.l.f lip lacquer in the shade bubbles is my favorite gloss ever! It's clear with sparkles; the normal clear one is great too!
The mint melt is pretty much the same texture! I personally think my sensitive skin prefers the mint scent but I do really love both of them. Also the sponge is shaped funny cause it was made for the camo concealer haha but their magenta colored ones that look like the real techniques ones are amazing! The camo concealer with the black lid definitely has darker shades and it really oxidizes so you’re right about the shade names not matching!
I admire the patience of girls. I have no patience for a make up routine, but love watching others. You look stunning in the video and I hope you had a wonderful time. 😊
Their blotting powder is nice as is the hd translucent. I love the new elf stain. The applicator is tiny and a bit annoying but it stains fairly well. I just wish it came with more product. And the acne fighting putty primer is awesome.
Good to know about Nemyr (sp?). I quit wearing makeup entirely during the pandemic because I couldn’t go tanning and couldn’t go match my skin to makeup in stores and my face completely cleared up. I still really like a boogey lip balm like Dior lip gloss and Chanel mascara. I mean if I eat way too much dairy I get a few blackheads here and there but nothing major. I really enjoy your videos
My favorite elf powder is their pressed finishing powder. Its super cheap too. My favorite drugstore cream blush is actually made by elf lol it’s the putty blush you use in this video. I’m wanting to try their putty bronzer soon.
I actually save your videos as u put them out and I have just gotten to this one and girl I gotta tell ya, those Christmas fingernails are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING....like seriously some of the absolute BEST holiday nails I have ever seen. I can't get over them!! I keep running it back and pausing it to show everyone 😆but girl yes your nail person is creative and AMAZING AT HIS/HER WORK
For a drugstore cream blush I love the Barry m fresh face cheek and lip tints in the shade peach glow. Also as a cream contour/bronzer I live the revolution eye bright in the shade deep caramel. Hope that’s helpful!
For drugstore cream blush i use revolution and for the cream contour i use the revolution concealer that has the cusion applicator in a dark cooltone shade
This is one of my favorite videos so far! 💗 I love elf makeup and the end results look amazing on you🙌🏻I would love to see a “Doing my makeup routine from high school” video.
I personally love elf because of how affordable it is but some products are definitely better than others! Hope you had a great Christmas Soph 💖💖
Agreed!! They have some great affordable stuff 🥰 Thanks so much you too!!
Leaping bunny approved!

the putty blush and the glowing powder are my faves! also their brushes are pretty nice
I honestly like the wax and brow shadow over the pencil, makes your brow softer and more natural.

i use the elf eyeliner, concealer, setting sprays, and putty primer every day. i love elf
I am waiting on my elf order now. Love the eye look you came up with. I think I ordered the same lippies. Love your nails ❣️
I use a dark shade of maybelline age rewind concealer for cream contour, highly recommend, especially if you need extra coverage on the cheeks!
The revlon insta-blush in berry kiss is really nice drugstore stick cream blush!! Easy to blend out and is sheer but buildable! My go to blush!!!!
Oh my gosh the elf halo glow setting powder is the BEST!!!
I admire the patience of girls. I have no patience for a make up routine, but love watching others. You look stunning in the video and I hope you had a wonderful time. 😊
I actually really like those type of no colour/ no glitter highlighters, now that I know it's like that I might get one so ty!
W7 cream bronzer is really good and the shade is great for fair skin
you look absoulutetly gorgeous soph!!
Their primer infused blush is my ride or die! I have tried other great blushes from high end brands but I just keep coming back to it.
I like a lot of ELF stuff, especially the CC cream, the putty blushes and the eyeshadow sticks and glitters
Their blotting powder is nice as is the hd translucent. I love the new elf stain. The applicator is tiny and a bit annoying but it stains fairly well. I just wish it came with more product. And the acne fighting putty primer is awesome.
@@miku-miku the lip stain is the only lip product of theirs that I like. The mauve one is just so pretty.
The SOSU contour stick in warm is so so good! and the flormar liquid highlighter is a dupe for charlotte tilbury pinkgasm
Their hd setting powder is actually really good and the mini eyeshadow quads pack a lot of pigment!
I really enjoy your videos
that elf setting spray is my absolute favourite!
The elf Halo powder is a must! It's my holy grail powder! Over High end too !
My favorite cream blush are the Flower Beauty Blush Bombs, especially the shade cinnamon!
Oh my god that cream bronzer looks amazing.
The MUA liquid blushes are amazing and so cheap x
My favorite elf powder is their pressed finishing powder. Its super cheap too. My favorite drugstore cream blush is actually made by elf lol it’s the putty blush you use in this video. I’m wanting to try their putty bronzer soon.
I actually save your videos as u put them out and I have just gotten to this one and girl I gotta tell ya, those Christmas fingernails are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING....like seriously some of the absolute BEST holiday nails I have ever seen. I can't get over them!! I keep running it back and pausing it to show everyone 😆but girl yes your nail person is creative and AMAZING AT HIS/HER WORK
you should try flower beauty blush bomb, its a liquid blush thats not oily, lots of nice colours and only AUD$5
The ELF halo glow powder is amazing!!! Love your videos 🖤
I always use the brown colours from the Nyx foundation palette as a creme bronzer. Works perfect and blend so well in the foundation 👌🏻
Finally the video I have been waiting for soooo long!!! 😩😂 Thank you Soph!! 🤍🤍
