  • Destiny is at its best when MANY things are viable and balanced, not just a handful. The final shape introduced an imbalance. This imbalance is fun for a season but not for the rest of Destiny’s life span. Unfortunately, bungies history dictates that this may be difficult if not impossible to resolve it with everyone happy, but this video will examine some ideas to fix this power creep problem.

While the overall power is bit hot in prismatic you pointed out a better issue. Too many of the base subclasses only have one or two powerful options in a slot where other options are trash, so when you put all of those together you can just pick the best choices all around when using prismatic. I’d happily accept a couple of nerfs just because I can use melees, grenades, and supers that I like instead of compromising some of those choices for another.
I think a nerf to the uptime of transcendence is the obvious nerf to prismatic. I could see a pass on decreasing the timers or effectiveness of some of the buffs in prismatic especially when stacked (something along the lines of gaining 80-90% effectiveness of “armor” buffs when you’re using multiple to tone down some of the invulnerability). But more importantly, prismatic is a class where there are more than one good options in a given slot, which is just NOT the case for the base classes. I think reinvesting in the base classes and letting a bit of that slip back into prismatic is the better play.
Perfect examples, Strand rope dart and Combination blow are two of the best melees in the game, and they both have ZERO competition in their base classes. Removing an option from prismatic is basically a nonstarter so you have to work with what is there but honestly a combination of nerfs and buffs within prismatic will do wonders.
ps: also making gunpowder gamble require solar kills is cruel and against the spirit of prismatic

  • @rohanmani6719
    @rohanmani6719 Месяц назад +17

While I somewhat agree with the sentiment, I respectfully disagree with most of the subclass related changes you suggest.
Speaking strictly from a PvE standpoint:
Making Transcendence harder to get is... fine but if it were to to be only when your super were active would severely impact the gameplay loop of prismatic and make it feel terrible. Buffing prismatic to compensate would just make the problem worse as, seeing how powerful it is right now would only work to make powercreep worse
    Prismatic Hunter:
3 shot Goldie is NOT soloing the witness, That's celestial nighthawk and Still Hunt doing most of the work (which got nerfed recently) Changing the prismatic super to 6 shot Goldie would basically put in the same spot as Stormtrance on prismatic warlock. It would be completely unused.
The changes to mono subclasses you mention are fine but honestly wouldn't move the needle too much.
Arcstrider is currently completely overshadowed by Pris Hunter so changing combo blow to disorienting blow seems like a valid change, but this comes with the problem of making winter's shroud obsolete (least used aspect on stasis hunter in PvE)
    Prismatic Warlock:
The reason people play Voidwalker is not for cataclysm nova, it's for devour. (or blink :) ) What makes cataclysm so strong on Pris Warlock is the Star-eater on your exotic class item. The best DPS on mono warlock is Needle storm with evolution and ascent. What makes Pris Warlock basically negate Voidwalker is the fact that it does devour better, which i guess could be brought in line by making Feed the Void only as strong as devour on titans and hunters.
Stormcaller isn't as bad as people say it is. Sure the supers need help but it is the most ability spam subclass without exotics on warlock. Vesper is a GM level build and Fallen Sunstar is very noticeably potent. The strongest aspect on Stormcaller is Electrostatic mind which enables the ability spam, NOT Lightning surge which was considered the weakest until prismatic gave it devour and Synthos from the class item. Arc souls do not need significant buffs, its 50% of the reason Getaway artist is the meta build on warlock right now and it's what makes the Vesper build GM viable. Sure you could buff the damage slightly on the mono subclass but giving it jolting explosions would be too much.
    Prismatic Titan:
Adding into the fray would be fine if it weren't for knockout existing. Each of the Prismatic Kits has 1 aspect for sustain, Feed the Void, Stylish Executioner and Knockout. Adding into the fray would be redundant since it would be a less potent version of knockout since it requires you to have tangles, (making it work with any elemental pickup would be busted) and make it dead on arrival.
    Class Items:
Having the exotics only have the weakest part of their host exotics would completely negate the point of them in the first place. The "spirit" of the exotic is to add a bit of the core gameplay loop of their originals. The example of Spirit of Star-Eaters is actually a good argument against this. its the ONLY way a warlock or titan can keep their burst supers in competition with Celestial or Star-Eaters on Hunters.
Overall, while I agree that mono subclasses shouldn't be left behind I feel you should take a step back and look at how the individual aspects of the subclass work with each other before coming to conclusions of what needs to be changed. Nerfing, buffing and swapping things individually might seem fine, until you take a step back.
The problems with prismatic and mono subclasses are more nuanced than nerfs and buffs and come down to the main design philosophy behind them which has its problems, Prismatic titans being a great example.

    • @trainershade1937
      @trainershade1937 Месяц назад +2

I'd argue that Arcstrider is not overshadowed by Prismatic (outside of Transcendence), but I do think that it's functionally too similar. It's actually one of my biggest complaints for Hunter Prismatic, most of the builds (prior to the class items) kind of just feel like a variant of stuff they already could do.
I personally think a major benefit to Voidwalker is also the Child of the Old Gods aspect. Void buddy is such a nice tool, and I can't help but love the Briar Binds gameplay loop.
Hard agree with your Stormcaller take, too many people really don't understand the subclass's power. Although I personally prefer Crown of Tempest over Fallen Sunstar (it's the only reason I think Stormtrance is fine as is, although Chaos Reach is cheeks).
I think Prismatic Titan needs something like Roaring Flames (assuming it was adjusted to be for any element). Unfortunately, Consecration took its spot as the weaker, yet significantly more fun option.
When it comes to the exotic spirits, I just think all applicable exotics should simply have some sort of noteworthy bonus added to them (unless they already have one). Like seriously, orb generation / a slight amount of HP on melee elimination is not enough of a difference (also, lmao Wormhusk being 1 for 1 the same).

I still make frequent use of non-Prismatic classes on my hunter. Prismatic doesn't give me double grapples or shackle grenades that reload my weapons on use like Strand does. Prismatic doesn't give me healing grenades to assist my allies with and a strong damage and ad clear super that I can get back up in a matter of seconds with the right setup (blade barrage + shards) like Solar does. Prismatic doesn't give me incredibly high invis up time without the need of a kill like Void does (and it can be helpful in harder content like GMs to be able to go invis at will rather than needing a weak enemy neaby to proc invis off of, which isn't always available). So there are plenty of answers to the question, "Why not prismatic?" These are all builds I still rotate between depending on what I'm doing, alongside my prismatic builds.

Like the Strand Warlock with the new Chest Piece is very distinct from the Prismatic Version as it has Mindspun Evocation and far more interplay with Suspnd like Thread of Continunity vs the Prismatic version which is far worse at suspending. And with stasis, Prismatic just doesnt have the combo potential that both Behemoth and stasis warlock have (Stasis with Iceflare bolts and Behemoth with stasis shards). but when it comes to the light subclasses? Prismatic does he things arc does but better with very little cost. • @tenacity25
      @tenacity25 Месяц назад +4

To me the only hunter subclass invalidated by prismatic is Stasis.
Particularly and specifically for pvp, you can run Duskfield, Mask of Bakris, Silence and Squall, Winter's Shroud, and then just replace the useless shurikens with Threaded Spike and have a better stasis hunter in basically all aspects.
There's nothing that stasis hunter has over prismatic of significant value over prismatic in pvp specifically, with exception of the minor benefit of having Shatterdive's movement - but prismatic has ascension and blink from Arc instead, so its not without its movement tool equivalent.
In pve, revenants have grenade builds specifically of use over prismatic because of enhanced grenades. But that's it, and its not that prismatic can't do them, its just that they're worse.
And, in pve, you can do a slow+freeze MELEE build on prismatic that is incredibly potent with winter's shroud + combination blow and liar's handshake. And still makes full use of the subclass verbs of stasis. However, the playstyle is very different and the areas where its strengths lie are very different, so I don't see that as a problem beyond shurikens being horrible.

    • @houseofcards3293

I kinda had a similar idea, but with two alterations. 1. Kinetic damage wouldn't charge the bar, only elemental damage matching your subclass element. Kinetic weapons already charge your super faster. 2. Instead of the kinda boring recharge and damage buff that Prismatic gets, make the Transcendence for each subclass be super powerful and unique, with each unique Transcendence having synergy with all of the subclass verbs for that element. That would, in turn, buff up the monochromatic subclasses, and give people a reason to play them over their Prismatic subclass.

  • @Xenronnify

I remember there being a Vidoc or something where they said there would eventually be "no subclasses," instead you just pick whatever abilities you want. Prismatic feels like a limited version of this, so I've been thinking it's a trial run to see how the community likes it, get some data to see what needs to be buffed/nerfed when used with one another, etc.
So either pure subclasses need a buff to their damage outputs, or we need to roll it all into one "Infinite Prismatic" and allow the selection of all abilities and Aspects, plus add in new fragments to add in all the perks that don't yet exist in Prismatic base.

Everything I completely agree with but a point that stood out to me with the old Exotic weapons was the lord of wolves buffing shotguns as well as giving it the spread the fallen captians have. This would probably go insane with the DSC taniks boss with slug shotguns. I'd love to see this exotic get used more because its design is so cool and it gives the fantasy of taking a gun from a defeated enemy.

I know this would be a very hot take, but I had the idea of Prismatic being the only subclass (let it access ALL of the other subclass abilities for a given class). HOWEVER! Make it where the overall power of the abilities is weaker (like how exotic class items use only portions of other exotic functions).
The only way to restore abilities to FULL functionality for an element is to equip all one type of ability element (like healing grenades only Curex1 until you use ALL Solar abilities, giving it restoration and whatnot).
This way, Prismatic is a weaker Swiss Army knife while keeping "monochromatic subclasses" as the way to make a particular element shine.

I didnt expect to see exotic weapon updates, but it was a pleasant surprise. A couple of ideas I have, to expand on the list a bit:
Sweet Business - I'd love for this weapon to play into the "heist/payday" thematic, so why not give it a mechanic where redbar kills grant you "Payout" stacks, and then when you kill a major/champion it'd drop a bunch of ammo, based on the stacks you got. each 5 stacks would give one special brick and if you got at least 20, then youd drop heavy as well. It'd turn Sweet Business into a new support weapon, and give warlocks a break from using Cenotaph for a moment.
Tesselation - This weapon is so fun, but seems limited to me. I guess it was built to be played with prismatic, but then why is its element locked? I wish this weapon would adapt its element to the grenade you have CURRENTLY CHARGED. So if you get GPG, you can consume it to turn your next nuke shot into scorching solar explosion, or while transcendant you can consume transcendant grenade to make your next nuke shot both blind and sever, etc etc.
Traveller's Chosen - Same as above, this seems like the perfect weapon to pair with prismatic. My idea is simple, replace osmosis with a custom built perk, that'd swap weapons element based on the last ability you used. You threw your storm grenade? Its arc. You tossed out penumbral blast? Boom, stasis. Class abilities would give it the element of your super too.

    1) add a "transcendence" to each class that boosts regen of your abilities and gives you that element's buffs for matching weapons (ex: solar transcendence gives you regeneration and solar weapons scorch targets, extra stacks for weapons that already scorch)
    2) make elemental buffs more readily available (increase regeneration duration, make invisibility easier to proc, increase dmg reduction for amplified, etc...)
    3) just make weapons stronger when they match your elemental class except prismatic (+3 to all weapon stats or something)

Or if certain Exotic Armors became all class, like Ramparts going all class since they're not really all that class focused.

Replace the existing supers the class uses with all-new ones to match the other new supers, perhaps one where it uses one super's style with an element it doesn't usually use. Cryo Goldie Gun that acts like a single-shot railgun instead of a revolver, with a freeze effect for near-misses (DON'T 👏 BUNCH 👏 UP 👏). Well of Nocturne, an Empowering Rift on steroids that doesn't heal you on its own, but amps your DPS through the roof and maybe gives you Devour. A sentinel shield that inflicts Strand debuffs on hit, while granting allies it passes by Woven Mail. There's so much room to play with the idea of fusing Light and Dark.

An idea I had with Transcendence on all sub-classes,
    - Make the meter size change based on Light/Dark Sub-class,
    - - Example: If on Solar, the Light meter is 75% of the total, while Dark is 25%, since all your abilities are Light-based, this'll make it easier to fill the meters.
    - - Alternatively, Light is 25 - 33%, while Dark is 66 - 75%, requiring more work since your sub-class is lacking Dark alignment, making it harder to fill the meters.
I'm also of the mind, buff old sub-classes, for example,
    - I shouldn't be able to get Diamond Lance in Prismatic faster than Stasis, make them both the same, or, if it HAS TO be a buff/nerf, do this,
    - - Prismatic Diamond Lance Cooldown: Increased from 7s to 10s
    - - Stasis Diamond Lance: Decreased from 15s to 7s (Last I checked, it is 2x the cooldown that Prismatic has... pretty sure Tangles are the same/similar... wtf)
Remove Fragment slots from Aspects, just make it 6 across the board, worst case, make exceptionally powerful Aspects reduce it by ONE MAX.
Maybe remove/re-work some fragments and just apply them by default, like you said, increased projectile tracking on Solar, though you specified for Blade Barrage, I think it'd be best to just make it a constant for each class.
A few more specific changes below,
    Gunpowder gamble,
DON'T make it exclusively require Solar, instead, make it require Light abilities, it'll balance out the Transcendence meter since you can get a ton from a single Withering Blade, then throw a big light element bomb to get more.
Alternatively, require ONLY Dark abilities, to play more into the concept of Prismatic.
    Hardlight, Borealis, Dead Messenger,
Give them Dragonfly or Chain Reaction(nerfed for Hardlight since it's a primary), and when the element & super match, give them the respective elemental ability, so,
    - Solar Super + Solar Element = Incandescent, or Firefly
    - Void = Destabilizing Rounds, or Repulsor Brace
    - Arc = Voltshot, or Eddy Current
    - Stasis = Headstone, or Chill Clip(likely nerf Chill Clip for Hardlight if applied)
    - Strand = Sever, or Hatchling
These weapons basically died when Matchgame was removed, the only chance I see for them is if they get some functionality with their elements rather than JUST shield advantages, or, adding more enemies like the Omen/Subjugator, where the matching element does more damage to the targets HP.
    Lord of Wolves,
Make it a special ammo Auto Rifle(Act 3 brings one, special Autos'll Exist and can hurt us soon) but change the alternate mode to a Shotgun working similar, like you said, to the one Fallen enemies use,
    - 20 - 40 magazine, alt Shotgun uses 5 ammo per shot for 4 - 8 shots, boost the range for Shotgun mode to outclass any other Shotgun HOWEVER the spread is wide and random(maybe not random to prevent luck-based killing in PvP), not likely to hit player-sized targets with many projectiles even in current max Shotgun ranges(basically only viable at point blank for PvP).

I think from a narrative standpoint, the ability to transcend for current pay-to-play players makes a lot of sense. We have been around for a while now and we have mastered the ability to use our powers at will regardless of our subclass. Newer players and free-to-play players are new lights, story wise they haven't been through everything a veteran player has. So, no transcending abilities until the pay and start hitting the high-end content, then becoming legend.

  • @randommixedletters

I feel at the end of the day the only real reason Prismatic is used over a lot of other classes is it's ease of use with Transcendence. Having a secondary bar that charges in like 30 seconds that just says 'I am now effectively in super' is ridiculous, and it's entirely the reason why even titans (as weak as they are) use the subclass.
Like, titan is the best case where you can argue their hyper specific subclasses are better in every way. Strand is just strictly better than prismatic in it's entirety, Void with Controlled Demo and heart is infinitely better at the 'gunplay supportive roll' fantasy, and Solar gets the use of Pyrogale with Roaring Flames. About the only two that feel worse are the lagging classes of Stasis and Arc, because both of those subclasses supers suck so bad it drags down the class to feeling just worse than a class that can make them usable (in the case of behemoth) or can just ignore them entirely (in the case of arc as a whole).
But why do even people like me that recognize this still use Prismatic in GM's more than equipping said other classes with their better options? Well I can't spam completely infinite super buffed consecrations on Solar titan now can I? I can get close, sure, but I can't do that while also throwing infinite suspend jolt grenades. I can't throw infinite throwing shields for infinite void overshields on top of natural DR. I can't just have a full ability refresh on demand at any time and have to actually build and utilize the subclasses well to get that level of power.
Transcendence just drops that level of accessibility to the floor and makes anyone a god for no effort. It's telling when even a completely sub par strictly worse variant of solar warlock is being put up as a GM destroying build on Datto's page. It's because as subpar as it is, activating transcendence just means you win the game full stop, and there's absolutely nothing that stops that or makes it not as worth it when the subclass underneath is is only ever slightly worse to on par with the rest of the subclasses. But my child spam void warlock can't transcend for infinite weaken grenades on top of everything else now can it?
I feel making Transcendence something that actually requires you to build into would be infinitely more fun. Remove the passive regen from it, but make it a mode you can toggle on and off after doing the whole song and dance of doing light and darkness damage. Make it a bar that drains drastically slower, popping out of it refunding whatever energy you didn't use while in it, and refunding energy like it does currently with kills. Then, leave in the 'landing hits provides a small bump to passive regen for a short time', and push all of the DR that it gives on to Protection, making it so you get 33% DR while surrounded and transcendent, but removing the passive DR from just existing while Transcendent.
With all this, I feel transcendence will become something cool that's neat to use, and give the class that extra 'umph' to stay relevant, but not make it so fully and completely 'I'm you but better' in every single way. It gives you access to new tools and makes you a little stronger to feel powerful (and makes stuff that say 'while transcendent' make a little more sense since you're encourages to go in and out of it instead of just be in it permanently), but it doesn't just literally remove all of the barriers that they had been systematically putting in place with their recent changes (the heck you basically removing cycling regen mods like bomber and momentum transfer from the game but then release stuff like this?!? went from using 1-0 ability orb regen mods to using literally nothing BUT them in my arm slots overnight because now everyone just has instant full ready access to all their abilities all the time always, so why get 10% to them when I can make orbs?). The mayhem ability regen everywhere was fun, but it has to be rained in.

    2. Take inspiration from Warframe’s Helminth system. For those unaware, the Helminth system is an in-game sytem for slotting a specific ability from one playable Warframe onto another, such as putting Rhino’s Roar on Revenant, Kullervo’s Wrathful Advance on Gyre (My Beloved(tm)), or Grendel’s Nourish on Xaku. However, with many Helminth abilities, the benefit provided is deliberately diminished - Roar provides a lesser damage boost, Wrathful Advance has a shorter range and provides less crit chance, and Nourish no longer requires an enemy in your gut, nor provides a heal on-cast.

Honestly TDT, I agree with pretty much everything. Prismatic should be the jack of all trades, and not the master of everything. A rainbow is pretty and all, but solid colors are really nice too! The mono subclasses absolutely need massive buffs, and prismatic absolutely needs a drastic change!
And the old exotic weapons, even from before beyond light, hell even from beyond light, are so power crept. They absolutely need some changes

Of course the usage is high because its new. Sometimes I think Destiny player have something wrong with their brain. It really depends what content you are running. Prismatic Hunter is absolutely dominant in the DPS department but running GM's and normal nightfalls? I rather stick with my regular Void class. It's just better for clearing that kind of activity.

I feel like Bungie dug a big hole and now all that’s left that they can do to balance everything is to buff everything and make prismatic the only subclass with every ability to make it so you can use what you want while still getting prismatic benefits and honestly I would kind of want to see that as of how I think it could be very fun, like as if ensnaring slam and ascension worked together to ascend while suspending everyone around you and giving amplification, cause while it seems overpowered it’s one ability for two aspect slots.

I remember back when Prismatic was first revealed. I, like many others in the community were excited, however in the back of my mind I was concerned about balance for both PvE and PvP. We were already pretty strong before Final Shape (certain subclasses more than others, looking at you strand titan) and Prismatic just seemed to take that dial that was already cranked high and turn it up even more.
The only "normal subclass" that I've ran since Final Shapes launch is strand titan for a little bit. That's it, outside of that i haven't taken off Prismatic, why would I when I can have Gunpowder Gamble, Graple, 2 stasis melees that can trigger ignitions, invisibility on ability kills, and a damage super like golden gun all on 1 build.

You can have any perk you want on it in the 1st and 2nd slots, with limited rolls available in the 3rd and 4th slots,
You can have any one Champion stunning capability.
This makes it a reliable base weapon in every scenario, and it doesn't have any broken AD clearing or DPS capabilities.

I honestly think Prismatic should be the standard though. Like that should be the only subclass and the other sub classes should be like set bonuses. The more abilities and aspects you have in one type the more bonuses and fragments that synergizes with that type. Ex: (hunter) 3 arc abilities equals Flow state, (Warlock) 3 void abilities equals feed the void, etc. Put all the fragments on Prismatic and same as above the more in line with a type the more are available.

This would remove the f2p problem and allow you to play whatever play style you want to at any time without having to swap subclasses. There would be problems with it but I don’t think they would be as bad as some of the issues we have now

A few things on Monochromatic classes that I think where overlooked
One of the biggest issues is simply variety, Prismatic has twice the supers, melees, fragments, and aspects that most classes have access too so they are innately restricted. Some of the best classes that are monochromatic (Namely Dawnblade) have a ton of utility apart from the prismatic version.
Swapping deadshot goldie is a bad idea imo as it is entirely reliant on ember of combustion to function (an issue with the super itself) I think if you swapped any out swap out for blade barrage, make the extra knives from knock em down base blade barrage then make knock em down instead let each knive apply 5 scorch on hit so gunslinger still does more damage but prismatic has a high burst option available at all times

Asking a new thing to be nerfed is ludicrous. What they could do instead of nerfing something to the ground is bring the old subclasses up and buff them to help make them feel just as good as prismatic. Alot of the old classes need touched on again anyway, I think, especially some of the lesser used subclasses.

My teammates make fun of me telling that I'm "boring to play with" when I play my triple consecration titan with syntho/enclosure class item because I blow up everything so hard that I have more kills then other two members combined (includes champs and mini-bosses being oneshoted on the way). GMs, battlegrounds, dungeons...wherever we go. And doesn't matter what other play with. I don't think that this fits the description of "the weakest class". I think that every prismatic class is very strong in it's own way. Though I admit that hunter has too much from original classes - literally best options of every single element.

It has always been bad as hell unless you do it for fun.
Hunters are the same: you have dynomite + helicopter and that's it. Because what's left? Invis (really? invis? when you can annihilate everything with a gaze?), stasis slow that is insanely bad even on original stasis hunter and strand decoy that is good only in pvp. It is, what I think for once again, time for subclass reworks.
Maybe with the launch of the next big expansion, every subclass could get a rework to fit against Prismatic more and have Prismatic be nerfed a little against it.
Create more subclass distinctives inside, have subclass of a subclass. By this I mean something like the Demoknight from TF2, where he's a class, but Demoknight is a subclass of it's own. Add new Darkness Supers for all the classes. Something like a BIG DPS super would incredibly benefit Stasis especially the roaming supers and even Strand. This would be a good saviour to the subclasses to have Prismatic as a Jack of all Trades, but let each subclass be the Master of their respective sides.

Personally, I believe that massive overhauls should only be done out of necessity. Changes should be made with the goal of sustaining the original identity of the product (such as an exotic), while bringing it up to par in the current environment (Destiny 2's sandbox). For example, sweet business:
    - The purpose of this exotic is to keep firing as much as possible (especially when paired with actium war rig).
The changes I would make would be as follows:
Payday- remove the picking up special or heavy ammo mechanic a reload and handling buff when damaging a target ( basically enlightened action).
Business time- add a weaker version of onslaught to help boost the fire rate sooner
Catalyst- Only change I would make here would be to add subsistence.
And lastly, remove the explosive round. This does not fit with the identity of the weapon.
But, I'm not a game dev. Though if you guys wanna hear anymore ideas, just let me know. Thanks for reading this.
BTW, I don't think business time should surpass the maximum fire rate of sweet business, only help reach it sooner.

I’d say the only reason dawnblade isn’t closer to prismatic warlock’s usage is because prismatic is still in its “honeymoon phase”. Dawnblade still does everything solar related way better than prismatic. Dawn Chorus ignition/scorch builds and Speaker’s Sight support builds are just better on dawnblade, and solar grenade builds like Sunbracers builds aren’t even available on prismatic. Now I wouldn’t mind dawnblade getting buffed but I don’t think it really needs any.

Instead of nerfing transcendence I think they should add stuff to the base light classes. We've seen leaks of potion crafting for the upcoming episode and what if potions are what monoclasses get instead of trans. Gives similar regen to abilities.
I also think that light and darkness keywords need to be reworked wholesale. Overshields, Cure/Restoration and Radiant should be class agnostic light buffs not void or solar. Probably same with a healing keyword too so each subclass can get a healing keyword.
The reason why Solar Warlock is still getting play is because Solar keywords are just better than every other class, and that's mostly due to solar having a near monopoly on heal sans Banner of War and Devour, over-shields are on void but they aren't technically healing and are just worse than restoration. A form of healing grenade should probably exist on other classes, maybe its an aspect that grants void overshields for standing in a void grenade.
Because solar would lose some keywords, maybe add a keyword called "Aflame" where you apply 15 scorch a second to nearby enemies, put it on Titan with sol invictus and Warlock with phoenix dive. Maybe add a "Recharge" keyword that enables your arc effects to hit your self for a small ~30 hp heal, replace/rework knockout on Arc titan with a something that applies this so they can do other stuff besides melee if they wanted to.
For the subclasses that have only 1 melee, add more. Void warlock could have a blink melee that teleports them forward then they explode (works with astrocyte verse), Void Hunters could have a 2 charge dash melee where they whip out their spectral blades and dash through enemies and apply volatile that automatically explodes after a couple seconds. Some complete anime shit for both of them.
Also give a short glide at the end of blink (for warlock and hunter) for my own sanity's sake.

I thought that maybe they could have a version of transcendent for the individual subclasses themselves. Like maybe for Solar the verb could be “Incandescent” and for Titans the grenade could be a thermite grenade that would in an aoe instead of a forward path. Warlock could throw out multiple grenade from the new super, hunters could throw a swarm grenade that sends out like 3 sets of swarms one after the other.
Some of this is admittedly a little much. But it’s just an example.
