I'm doing the same thing right now but my garage is getting smaller and the only bmw shop in town closed for being too shady so I want to fill that void. I've only worked on classic cars up til now but my wife got a MINI and stepson an 08 328i so I've been getting my feet wet with them. they are actually pretty service friendly.
My thoughts exactly. I’ve only done a couple valve cover jobs on some 4 bangers but even those were way harder than this. Older cars were made so much easier to work on. Today’s newer cars just make it difficult to work on so they can take our money.
BIMMER ZEIT Gotcha, let me know how that Victor Reinz works out for you. I've read some bad reviews on them so I'm hesitant on buying one. I'll be doing a valve adjustment in a few weeks

great video! I'm trying to sharpen my bmw skills to open a shop and your videos are extremely helpful!
Thanks Jose! Most of us start off working on cars as a side hustle. Work hard and follow your passion!
What size boat did you use? I’m replacing mine as we speak
my last 2 bolts are missing. would that cause any problems?

When you replace the vent tube, do you just use normal tubing or is it a special fitted part?
Alan Will it's a specific molded hose, here it is:

Great content. Would love more E30 videos!
Thanks Alex! Hope to get more E30 videos up this summer as I tackle more projects!
Also, what brand of gasket did you go with for the valve cover?
I usually get Victor Reinz, but happened to have a new OEM one from the dealer. They look slightly different but either one is fine!

That blue fuel pressure regulator line. Can you tell me where you got it please? Mine is showing its age.
This. I need that line
Why would bmw design it to use those 4 rubber plugs?
Great video again! Why not install the new and extremely nice Hartge valve cover? Would you sell it to me? ;-D!!!
Keep those videos coming please!
