I love detecting Pat. When you actually dig up treasure or gold, it is so unbelievably satisfying! The week before this, I went 5 full long days without finding anything good. That can really test you and get you down. Just gotta keep after it and never give up!
how long does the battery last on the 6000. my gold monster the battery lasts for months. have a good day
This machine sucks up quite a bit of battery power. Wearing bluetooth headphones, I get 7-8ish hours run time on a fully charged new battery.

I can’t help but wonder what the ATV guys were watching you, a little unnerving.
@@ANDYTHRAXX Definitely unnerving, it was right at dusk and they kept making loops around my camp. A few days later, I ran into an old-timer who told me that people follow him and look for his dig spots out there. When detecting, I spend most of my time searching out new areas is hopes of a big new strike!

You should check out some Aussie bush solar camp power options.
Its such a big thing down here, to have as much power as you need without noisy fuel/money guzzling generators equals more time out in the gold fields.
Will definitely have to look into that. Be self-reliant and prepared is a must for the desert!

Nice mineralization. With Galena, you have lead with a possibility of silver. The pyrite and limonite tells me you are in the right ballpark. It would be well worth following those mineralized quartz stringers back to where they meet and look for a fault line. The gold you found tells me that you are in the close proximity as it is rough and has points extending out of the nugget body. Good luck and I hope you hit it good !!!!
A few of those nuggets definitely had "character"! I might have to spend a few days back there digging down on those veins to see if they intersect. Thanks for the encouragement LK🙌

Nice gold brother. Those old boys on the bikes should know people don’t go in to the desert with out fire power. I see ounces and ounces of gold. Or you could go into the lead business with all that galena. Stay safe
I always try to camp is somewhat strategic locations. You just never really know what crazies you may encounter out in the bush. A few years ago I had a real scare and since then, I don't mess around.
@@ColoradoGoldCamp can’t afford to you can get killed. I had a state trooper tell me that it’s better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6. I stand by that. Be careful and find lots of gold

Thanks Jeff, I really needed it after 5 full days of getting skunked! We had a freak blizzard a few days ago that dropped around 14". It has all melted off now and the gold awaits to be found!
I love what you do, I too am planning to do what your doing soon, I used to go to colorado with a friend but he passed away last year, we were going up around San Louis colorado in the San Louis valley it’s beautiful up there and the weather is good most of the time.well I hope to see you out there some day, a person should do what he loves to do, have a great day sir and stay safe.

DID YOU Notice, That Pile of rock at eight minutes and 20 seconds? ? It looked like a grave or something. Just the length and width of it. Maybe some old miner passed away and was buried out there mining a long time ago. Anyways just thought I’d see if you noticed that.

The cholla cactus needles are so sharp that I don't know how the rats can safely navigate them when they are strewn all about! It's crazy! This one particular area had quite a few crystals. Barite, calcite, quartz and fluorite, it was a fun find indeed. It can be hard to tell from the videos because they are edited but I can go many many hours without finding anything interesting. So, when I do find something cool, I am genuinely excited and thrilled! The ATV's ended up circling my camp 3 times that night. It was a bit unnerving. I ended up taking a ride looking for them before I "went to bed" (wasn't fun). Life is short and the time is NOW! Adventure awaits!

That GPX does make some different sounds on certain gold I've noticed too. How are you liking your GPX? The only thing I hate about mine is I end up detecting too long and getting in trouble with my wife because its so light and easy to use! haha Also have another question for ya. I was considering doing some videos on my channel for shits and giggles and was wondering if you have had many issues with people finding your locations and jumping your areas? Love the videos and enthusiasm you bring!

It can be very difficult to find genuine goods in your area. My best suggestion is to find and authorized dealer and to purchase from them. This way, you know what you are getting is real and you get the factory warranty.
