    That is an outstanding result for tiny pieces of Ore . That was an excellent tutorial on geological veins and how they be anywhere but also nowhere. Can't wait to see how you progress in your endeavors. Cheers

      Absolutely Steve! It can be really challenging trying to put the geologic puzzle pieces together. Sometimes you just have to dig down and prospect on a hunch/mild indicators. Many of the oldtimers did just that!

    Great video. You and Jeff Williams are the only two who give the viewers knowledge of the minerals and the reason or purpose of what they are and how they came about . It drives me nuts when you watch these other cave explorers who either don't talk about the rocks or they guess at it and then you're totally lost 🤣 Keep up the great work 👍

    Where those 2 rocks were you should look directly above and below that. not necessarily under the rocks. Those were markers for sure

      @@ColoradoGoldCamp First, bring in a Gold Monster 1000 with small coil, rock drill, gas or electric, prima cord to blow the holes, cover the blast site with logs or boulders to contain the blast to retain your samples, crush with hammer mill, and then pan. Use GPS to log your samples! I would sample for colours any surface material in gullies down slope from this showing! Bring water!

      You might work something out, make videos, etc. with Heavy D Sparks (Dave), collaborate with him, he is thinking about buying a gold mine with an unused small plant. He could use your knowledge. The owner passed away, and Dave did some heavy equipment rescue for the relatives, the mine was offered to him.     ......,,,, P.S.,,,,in the early 80's,,,I spent a lot of time in rampart range area,,,Devils Head..fire lookout,,,,,,go there sometime (if you know of that area),,,South of littleton,to sedalia,,,West up the foothills to it......you'll have fun picking there,,,my old friend lived up there,,,said he panned gold in the creeks,,a lot of small valley heading up to the devils head sandstone outcrop ,,,very cool place to see,and to the very west of that is called windy pass,,,likes peak is seen best from the fire lookout too!!..so ,,,hope you go there,make a vid,,,so we can learn about that important area in Colorado...!......peace,,,pat...

      I've definitely wanted to explore more down there Pat. I know for sure that there are some really good crystals to be found down around there. I do have a lost gold mine tale from that area, maybe I should go look for it!

    Cool place to explore it would seem. Nice return on the samples as well. All that dry ground had me crying tho... Still buried in 2+ feet of snow up here. ugghh.

      That is rough. I did have to travel a ways to get to thawed ground but fortunately my placer area is now diggable and ready to give up some more gold. Hope you have a great season!

    About The Big "Odd" White Rock,.. So, if my memory prevails true, I believe that back in "The Day", the Indians utilized that rock for heat. During recent excavation near the Arapahoe Bar Public Panning Area, workers uncovered a precious piece around the same size.... Have a Beautifully "Warm" Day!!

A Native American "Buddy" of ours, from the past, whom we used to prospect with, showed us the Rock, through a chain link fence along a bike path, and told us about it. I found it really interesting too. I have a bit of Cheyenne Indian in my Genetics.

    careful for snakes. I almost got struck in the NECK today scaling around boulders. I have no idea how a timber rattler got up in between those boulders, on a shelf so it was right at my neck as I went to pass by. I am lucky I startled it and caused to go back further. Had I leaned the other direction, close to where the snake was, I likely wouldn't be home right now...

    I am finding your channel very educational and interesting to watch. I live here in Colorado and have always liked rock hunting, but now trying to find gold has piqued my interest. I have found some areas which seem to be promising that have lots of quartz with mineralization in an area where prospecting was at one time done and am thinking about checking to make sure it is OK to prospect. Thanks for this video and the others I have seen.

      Absolutely CM! There is still tremendous potential to find minerals here in Colorado. You have to first determine if the land is public or private. If public, then you must determine if there is an active claim there or not. Best of luck in your hunt and enjoy!
