Errrm um saying nahh but love the enthusiasm why didn’t u try using the existing oven shelf’s u have maybe using them to support the dough from the top and a bottom shelf so it doesn’t hang as much.
OMG yes. As an Indian, this bread has saved my life in Europe!!! 😁 It tasted something similar to an Indian bread called Bhatura. The main difference being that Bhatura is hollow. But OMG I love love langos!
Yakitate Japan! is a perfect reference for your daily bread challenge 😁 Be warned though that the further you go through the series, the more unrealistic they become 😅 But I'm hoping you get to the episode where he makes a "fluffy" bread that actually has a quick live demo within the episode 😂
My aunt used to bake it by pasting the entire naan sheet on back of the baking tray and then putting it upside down in the oven. U need to apply little water on the ball and stick everything flat on back of baking tray.
oh my god!! i love yakitate japan!! it’s such a funny and nostalgic anime for me because i’ve watched it when it aired in the philippines ! you should try the anime’s bread made on the rice cooker or the melon sushi bread !!
You can put two pan together while preheating the oven. It will heat the backside of the the pan too which might work. Ps:- spray some salt water on to the surface of the pan where you will stick the dough i.e. how tandoori ovens work Hope it'll help you
Have you tried making pita bread? Or also sajj bread? They are both flat breads used to make sandwiches or even used as a sort of spoon to scoop food. We Lebanese people love those two breads. You can eat literally anything with those breads, no exception.
There's actually a real life instruction video at the end in one of the episodes of yakitate japan. I forgot which episode it was though. They used the rice cooker for a fluffy bread. Edit: just searched it up. It's name is Ja-pan #2: rice cooker bread.
Omgosh YES! That anime developed a passion for bread and baking in me when i watched it back in the days. REALLY AWESOME. THANKS FOR TRYING JEANELL!! Now i can live vicariously through your videos because i have ZERO BAKING SKILLS!! Please do try again! I'm cheering for you~!! 🙌🙌
You should make a “boba” bread. Make like a sweet bread and put custard and tapioca pearls on top (& other sweet toppings). I think it would be really cool!
I dont know if you’ve already made it, but i recommend making irish soda bread! Its a quick bread that has baking soda as a leavening agent instead of yeast! (hence the *soda* bread) its super easy to make, and i highly suggest baking it in a cast iron pan :)
The only thing I can think of to make this work in a regular oven is a teracata pot. You could cover it in foil, flip it upside down. Pre heat it with the oven, if you don't it'll Crack. Lay the dough over it and put the big dough ball on top. Move the oven racks so they're not so close together, and put something heavy on a cookie sheet on the above rack. I hope that makes sense...
It need's heat to stick, (that is why it's done with roof of an oven) you can do it with a pan, but bottom of the pan need's to be heated. (ftr getting the heat right is gonna be tricky, if it's too hot, bread will turn out too tough even if it sticks it's gonna be a waste )Also your dough is too oily, it's need's to be...well sticky. High protein flower (used for pizza) would be good then let it rest so yeast can break it down a bit,(don't add to much flower after) material of a pan is also important it can't be really smooth like you showed on a video for obvious reasons.
use a very thick bottle that seems heatproof, like a thick beer bottle, pack it in tin foil in case it should shatter and drage the dought on the top of the bottle, i bet it will come out the same...
You should try making an Italiano Stromboli for your Bread Challenge ❤️ You take all the ingredients you put in Italiano Sub and bake them into a Stromboli. It is so good 🤤
Day 19 of asking until Jeanelle sees this comment: Jeanelle! You should make a Hunger Games inspired bread. I was thinking you could make the bread that Peeta gave to Katniss that saved her family. In the book, she describes it as "Good hearty bread, filled with raisins and nuts." Just maybe don't burn it like Peeta did😅 I'm losing hope, y'all! Blow this up so she can see it!💛
This is such a good idea! I’ve been asking Jeanelle this also. Another bread she could try is the bread that district 4 gave to Katniss and the others in Catching Fire!
I had a phase of being a bread addict when I binged Yakitate Japan. Idk how I got over it but damn 😂 Anyway, you need to stick the whole thing on the roof and make it lighter
I think maybe you should try putting the oven really hot and preheat the oven and the metal tray it for a long time. Make the dough as thin as possible and stick it to the hot pan (first coated with oily).
Why not use a rolling pin as a base and spread the dough from the top of the rolling pin , the oven slots will help the rolling pink stand while the naan bakes around it
I have a suggestion on how you could use your milk chocolate hagelslag is you still have some It's is really tasty when you eat it with a sour cherry jam
i watched the clip and it looks like they stuck the whole thing on the roof (ceiling it's ceiling idc) of the oven until the flatter one sort of unsticks by itself as it cooks and it falls
It’s because you didn’t preheat your oven tray that you were trying to stick it to- if you preheated it to extremely hot like 500 Fahrenheit, it should work
🤣🤣you discovered treasure🤣 yakitatae japan was aired in the philippines when i was third grade and i would always skip afternoon naps just to watch it, i ended up buying a cd to rewatch it, and the japanese version was even more hilarious with all the puns🤦🏻♀️🤣
Yakitate Japan is such a classic anime! T___T It's my favorite anime back in the days when it was still streamed on Hero TV (a local anime channel in the Philippines.
You might have a little more luck getting it to stick if you preheat the baking tray? Ive seen videos of people making naan and sticking it to like the side but its already really hot so it stays
In the clip, didn’t the entire dough sheet get stuck to the top and then the edges peeled away and drooped down naturally instead of only having the center/ball be in contact with the top of the oven?
How about using a microwave friendly cup upside down and putting the dow over it. It may work. Or even better a microvave friendly glass. In my head it works lol
will we successfully make a mountain-shaped bread tomorrow or nah 🗻
Hey! Something to look forward to!! Thanks
That was my comment lol. Get yourself some solar hands, Jeanelle!
Please make pita bread it’s really good. It’s an Arabic/middle eastern bread.
He uses a different dough for the ball that he sticks on top. I've watched that anime a lot of times already 😊
Hey there Jeanelle! Thanks for always bringing a smile to my face with your videos! I hope your doing well these days! Stay safe and have a nice day!
Will we successfully make a mountain-shaped bread tomorrow or nah 🗻?
Recipe here: jeanelleats.com/naan-bread/
Yes queen we cann
You should try making a Pakistani bread called Sheermal. It's a sweet flatbread that is delicious!
Errrm um saying nahh but love the enthusiasm why didn’t u try using the existing oven shelf’s u have maybe using them to support the dough from the top and a bottom shelf so it doesn’t hang as much.
Also just thought if u remove the h from dough what do you get??
I think you should use a glass or something high ...and then you can place your nun over the glass
Please try making lángos, which is a salty doughnut type of base with cheese and sour cream, a popular Hungarian bread.
Oh my gosh yeaaaaaaaa I remember tht back when my mom would make it it’s so yupy
Yeees, i love it. Especially with garlic
OMG yes. As an Indian, this bread has saved my life in Europe!!! 😁 It tasted something similar to an Indian bread called Bhatura. The main difference being that Bhatura is hollow. But OMG I love love langos!
Great idea, i love it😋
Oh man these are amazing!! Always ate a ton when visiting home (Romania)! I hope she tries it.
Yakitate Japan! is a perfect reference for your daily bread challenge 😁 Be warned though that the further you go through the series, the more unrealistic they become 😅 But I'm hoping you get to the episode where he makes a "fluffy" bread that actually has a quick live demo within the episode 😂
Japan #2!! I tried it once before but my rice cooker didn’t have a timer 🤣 it kept popping to keep warm
My aunt used to bake it by pasting the entire naan sheet on back of the baking tray and then putting it upside down in the oven. U need to apply little water on the ball and stick everything flat on back of baking tray.
So you're telling me this it actually possible?! Amazing!!!
@@Congiary Yep, my mom also do the same when we want to eat naan (naan is kind of similar to bread and has same procedure)
oh my god!! i love yakitate japan!! it’s such a funny and nostalgic anime for me because i’ve watched it when it aired in the philippines ! you should try the anime’s bread made on the rice cooker or the melon sushi bread !!
I’d like Janelle to try making Australian damper! It’s a sofa bread baked in a cast iron ☺️
Or baked on a stick in a campfire!!
Another day of asking Jeanelle to make Northern Irish wheaten bread (my favvv❤️)
yakitake japan is my favorite anime! i've watched it all the way through at least 3 times. amazing breads in that show
yeah, apart from those insane chaotic reactions that always made me laugh back then 😂
You can put two pan together while preheating the oven. It will heat the backside of the the pan too which might work.
Ps:- spray some salt water on to the surface of the pan where you will stick the dough i.e. how tandoori ovens work
Hope it'll help you
Day 2 of asking Jeanelle to make the Hearty bread thingy from the hunger games
I loved Yakitate Japan! I’m glad someone mentioned it to you
Great effort! One little detail - the black seeds on top of naan are typically kalonji (black onion) seeds, not black mustard.
That’s why we don’t use recipes from animes 😂
Unless it’s howls moving castle
LOLLL thanks for the much needed laugh Jeanelle 😂😂
Have you tried making pita bread? Or also sajj bread? They are both flat breads used to make sandwiches or even used as a sort of spoon to scoop food. We Lebanese people love those two breads. You can eat literally anything with those breads, no exception.
I enjoyed this!
It was an entertaining video! 💕
the butter was a heart!
Today Jeanelle learned the hard way that anime food is full of nonsense but still look appetizing lol
Looks good!
I love your efforts. Lisa is definitely your friend.

I dont know if you’ve already made it, but i recommend making irish soda bread! Its a quick bread that has baking soda as a leavening agent instead of yeast! (hence the *soda* bread) its super easy to make, and i highly suggest baking it in a cast iron pan :)
This was my childhood!
woah i didnt expect jeanelle to swear
Try making Murtabak, a savoury, fried/baked bread with tons of vegetables and protein fillings. It's a standard south/south east Asian dish
Everyone's talking about what Brandy should make the fiddle focusing on your attempt making this bread I loved it
Keep trying, one day you will achieve 👍

Yesss such an underated anime, its funny that after years of not hearing anyone talk bout it I see two RUclipsrs referencing it within this week.
That bread was like..."So long Jeanelle,Im going to fall*
I remember binging yakitate japan before 😂😂
try 3 of asking jeanelle to make Acharuli Xachapuri for her next bread challange vid (it's not technically bread but has bread-ish dough mostly!!!)
I love yakitate japan!! The tagalog version is soooo funny 😂 Try ja-pan #1 and eat it with natto
Try to place the dough on inverted water drinking glass (made of steel) , that would help you 😌😌😌💫
you should try making a floral focaccia !!
use a very thick bottle that seems heatproof, like a thick beer bottle, pack it in tin foil in case it should shatter and drage the dought on the top of the bottle, i bet it will come out the same...
You should try making an Italiano Stromboli for your Bread Challenge ❤️ You take all the ingredients you put in Italiano Sub and bake them into a Stromboli. It is so good 🤤

Respect to u for trying to make her see this for so long lol, really hope she makes it
Good you have a kitchen helper i hear.. 🐰
You should make a new series where you just make all the breads from yakitate that would be amazing 😁
I had a phase of being a bread addict when I binged Yakitate Japan. Idk how I got over it but damn 😂
Anyway, you need to stick the whole thing on the roof and make it lighter
There is also an anime called food wars. They make all kinds of food on it.
I think maybe you should try putting the oven really hot and preheat the oven and the metal tray it for a long time. Make the dough as thin as possible and stick it to the hot pan (first coated with oily).
Why not use a rolling pin as a base and spread the dough from the top of the rolling pin , the oven slots will help the rolling pink stand while the naan bakes around it
I have a suggestion on how you could use your milk chocolate hagelslag is you still have some
It's is really tasty when you eat it with a sour cherry jam
Do it in a wok turn it upside down halfway use water to make it stick, tricky with that extra ball but works with normal naan
Can you give Kimbula Banis (which translates to crocodile buns) a try. It's a simple sweet bread originating from Sri Lanka
i watched the clip and it looks like they stuck the whole thing on the roof (ceiling it's ceiling idc) of the oven until the flatter one sort of unsticks by itself as it cooks and it falls
It’s because you didn’t preheat your oven tray that you were trying to stick it to- if you preheated it to extremely hot like 500 Fahrenheit, it should work

Damn, I hope you have better luck tmr!
4 leaf clover for good luck ;) 🍀
Lmao, that was an awesome try. I’m absolutely sure I could do no better
hi! Can you make Irish soda bread? It’s sooooo good and really simple to make :D
U have to stick the full naan bread on the oven ceiling or pan ... And it will fall from edges slowly but will be stuck at the ball portion.
You should try making crumpets!
Could you please try and make frybread it’s a Native American bread and it’s really good!
You should try an Indian sweet made with bread called "Double ka meetha" its really good!!😋😆😁😁😁!!
Yakitate Japan is such a classic anime! T___T It's my favorite anime back in the days when it was still streamed on Hero TV (a local anime channel in the Philippines.
Gotta try making croissants! It’s kinda difficult but I believe you could do it and it’s also a great bread for sandwiches!
Can you make Babka. It is like a chocolate swirled sweet bread or cake, I remember you ate this in ealry 2021...But can you try making it
When I saw the thumbnail, yakitate japan came to my mind lmao. Try the rice cooker bread my g.
The tagalog dub of the anime was my childhood hahahahahaha
It’s ok to make mistakes!don’t be mad!
“What could possibly go wrong?” Okay it is weird “OH S-! OH S-!”
Please make Irish potato bread and soda bread! They are super easy and tasty with a fried egg and crispy bacon.
You tried lol!! Maybe try moving the racks closer together so the dough won’t have to stretch so far?
you could do it on a tawa. we typically cook it on there and then to fluff it up with turn it around and let the fire cook it
Try baking the naan half way and use the dough ball again i hope it will help
You should try making baker khani.... It is kinda like a croissant.....
You should make Damper! It’s an Australian soda bread
NOSTALGIA!!
imagine how she finishes so much bread
Have you ever watched yumeiro patissiere??? It's a really cute and wholesome pastry and sweets making anime if you're ever interested!
You will be remembered, Fuji-san 😂😭
Can you try making a bread that’s similar to the batter of the bread? Like a really soft fluffy like cloud bread? 🥖 🥯 🍞
There actually a anime about baking sweets it called yumeiro patissiere. I remember it really good, it also a semi romance anime.
Do more 30 day challenges
As fascinating the concepts in the anime were most of the techniques presented almost never work, especially the 300 layer croissant and a lot more
Babish tried haha
just curious but have you gained any weight specifically during your challenges either the ramen or bread one?
Try Vegemite spread on white bread please
AAAAAAAAH DAMMIT THE ONE TIME I'M EARLY ITS A TWO PART VIDEO???
You might have a little more luck getting it to stick if you preheat the baking tray? Ive seen videos of people making naan and sticking it to like the side but its already really hot so it stays
Try making homemade butter garlic nan😋
In the clip, didn’t the entire dough sheet get stuck to the top and then the edges peeled away and drooped down naturally instead of only having the center/ball be in contact with the top of the oven?
Hey jenelle can you plzz give us a brown bread recipe on day 25 or 26 of your bread challenge
Day 4-5 (not keeping track) of asking Jeanelle to make pineapple buns! (Bolo bao)
How about using a microwave friendly cup upside down and putting the dow over it. It may work. Or even better a microvave friendly glass. In my head it works lol
Jeanelle, you can't finish the bread challenge without making kopi roti/coffee buns!!!
Could you try a poppyseed bread? I want to make it but I don’t know all of the tips for baking bread
