Story idea for you: from Total Warfare, page 162, "Just Another Day at the Office" by David L. McCulloch. It's a fun short story about an infantry platoon engaging (being engaged by?) a 'mech in a city.
I fielded a Hellbringer F earlier this week. Never used it on the table before, the heat issues I can handle but the low armor always spooked me. Especially with the Clans liking duels, it's not like a Hellbringer pilot can realistically expect to hang behind their own line and snipe the enemy front with their PPCs. Anyways.. the Hellbringer had a fantastic first round - too much woods between it and the enemy, so it was not engaged. Second round it took a Gauss slug to the side torso that went internal. That's right, can't even take a single Gauss round. Ouch. Before long it had a side torso knocked off, along with the crippling heat issues that 2 engine crits bring. I was playing as Clan Jade Falcon so of course the pilot doesn't know when to quit, so it stayed in the fight and got smoked. I'm glad I fielded it. But I'm glad in the same was as when I finally actually played a Jagermech - "ok now I can say that I've fielded this design."
Wow dude, just looked it and the weapon loadout isnt bad. Twin LBX 10, a good set of medium lasers but that armour! About the same as 55 tonners in the 2800's.. thats not a lot to protect yourself with. And no faster than a 50 tonner. Glad you had fun with it though. I always try to field as many and as different mechs as I can (I once took a ERPPC Thorn against the clanners - it was a mistake) so good on you! Yep been there done that, move along
I've never played it yet, I am more spheroid myself but forcing my self to play clans with Goliath Scorpions and Smoke Jaguar (thank you Mechcommander!). I'll see if its on their lists and run it sometime soon

Ahh, the Warhammer I C. Almost a literal copy of the original (in clan terms), but switching MGs and small lasers for AP pods and radar equipment.
