As plus size crocheter, I love the acknowledgment of how hard it is to find the very few size inclusive clothing options. My only gripe with the size inclusive patterns that I find are that they are almost never as cute as the straight size clothing. It's almost always matronly
THANK YOU!!! I’m a plus size crocheter and I had just made a super cute crop top only to realize that, bc I was using two colors at once, it was too tight 😭😭😭 never again
I'm a size M/L and also struggle with this. You never know how the thing will fit you. That's why you should measure yourself, make gauge, make sure your tension is right, your yarn and hook are right for the project your making. I'm saying it isn't a plus size thing to struggle with patterns and "fails".
@@user-kd7kk3zb5wthis is true! it’s definitely more common for plus size though, as a lot of people don’t get testers for bigger sizes / know how to account for such different body types
Now you know our struggle. As a big and tall girl (6' 200lb+) I sometimes have to start with a regular size pattern and try to add more rows or wing it. A lot of the RUclipsrs and influencers tend to be young and thin.
Girl same! I'm 6' as well, and trying to find anything intended for tall and curvy is a challenge!

I love crocheting sm. I have a hard time finding stuff that fits as a midsize girl (straight size XL is a bit too small and plus size 1X is too big) and my bf has the opposite problem, he’s an XS and a lot of men’s clothing only goes down to a S! I love that I can make ✨custom✨ stuff

I'm a plus size crocheter and since I'm still a beginner without a lot of knowledge/experience on how to properly size up crochet patterns, I've had a rough time finding patterns that fit my body type (which is disappointing but not really surprising). Thank you so, so, so much for all the time and effort you put into this video: now I have a solid list of things I can crochet for myself (and for my plus-sized friends)!

I love these videos so much!!! I would love to see a video for crochet ideas for the fall/winter in places where it doesn't really get cold. I moved to Florida last year and I'm heartbroken that I can't wear any of the scarfs/hats/sweaters I made when I lived up north, they're just WAY too thick and hot for the weather here, so I would love some ideas for things to make this year! sending love
you could try making traditional patterns with a lighter material like cotton or bamboo instead of wool or acrylic, maybe?

Thanks for putting these up! I follow a couple of women that discuss how they adjust patterns to fit sizes larger and smaller then their own and they make it sound like it isn’t rocket science which makes you question why there are not more patterns out there! My XL to 1X body wants to know!

Bro ty! .. every time I look for patterns for me to sell I make sure is at least up to 4xl or 5xl for me and my other big girlies. And is so hard.. but what I’ve noticed is every 3 stitches is 1 inch (I think .. I’m not sure now)
