LOL!!! You are the first person I’ve seen read the instructions for this gadget... And I’ve seen this product reviewed several times now! Still lol 😂 because I’ve seen most, if not all of your Gadget Testings and reading instructions first doesn’t seem to be your norm...... With all love, just saying 💕💕💕
Supposed to use the plunger (without unlocking the sides) and push (while sides still locked) the filling out. Thus, why it’s called the “bazooka” kind of shooting the filling out of the case. But all in all, I loved the video as always. Keep up the good work, Sir.
We’ve had one of these for YEARS, and we love it! We have Japanese students stay with us and we have been known to buy one for them to take home because they love it so much!!
Scott Traynor here in Aus, ginger beer isn't necessarily alcoholic. Alcoholic bottles have to specify quite overtly that they are alcoholic, as most are not
About to say the same thing, over here (UK) you can get non-alcoholic ginger beer in some shops it's usually down the pop isle. My other half loves the stuff >
I don't know if you realise this, but every time something works the way it's supposed to (and I'm going to speak for millions of strangers right now), we do a tiny YAY! I'm so proud of you! You did the thing!!! When you succeed with a gadget, we all succeed at life for even just a few minutes.
Barry, not sure if you knew but, traditionally, pickled ginger (or gari) is served as a palate cleanser during a meal made up of several courses of sushi. A bite of ginger between the different pieces of sushi allows you to distinguish the distinct flavors of each fish.
Ive tried adding ginger into a veggie roll like Barry has done and its sooooo good with the ginger inside even though I know youre not supoosed to add ginger into the sushi :P
FYI instead of the jarkey, at my house we've been using a knife to do the same thing for years already. A butterknife is the safest but one with a pointy tip works aswell.
Richard Castro-Parker came here to comment this, but thought that since it's been a day since it was posted, someone else would've caught it too. Glad I'm not alone lol. I've seen several reviews and they all call it the sush-easy.
Whatever it's supposed to be called I think we can all agree that these videos are ace and that the 'Barry' family is why we keep coming back. Again I love what you and your family do here Mr Barry 😀👍👍
@@XxMeatShakexX , yes you can. Just like you could drive on the wrong side of the road if you wanted to. You just have to be prepared for the consequences of your actions.
I JUST bought this 2 days ago! This thing is amazing. It lets you avoid arguably the worst part of sushi making; spreading the rice on the nori. It takes some time to know exactly how much rice to fill it with; you dont need to pack the rice tight, since the fish and veg inside presses down on it. But, this gadget is awesome and easy to use :)
homemade pickled ginger, please! This was so much fun, I think it's great when you incorporate a recipe into the kitchen gadget testing, well done Mr. Barry!!
Loved the video. Loved how you made the sushi the way you like. Which is the point to you're videos you give us the info on how but we are supposed to make it our own. Ginger beer cool idea. you keep doing you and showing us the cool recipes and showing us how to make neat things and then after we learn how to make the item then we can tweak it to the way we like it more rice less rice ect...
Barry ya numpty, it's Sush-easy Looks bloomin' yummy tho. I do have a confession, I bought this approx 2 years ago and it's still in the box somewhere! But this looks so good, I'm going to have to dig it out.
Barry sweetie, the pickled ginger isn’t supposed to be IN the sushi roll traditionally. It’s usually served to the side and is eaten between rolls (or bites if you are eating more than one roll) to cleanse the palate. Please do a video on ginger beer!!
Hears 'Chocolate Salami', gets excited. Thinks Barry will do something like a Sanguinaccio dolce, and thinks 'bold choice, Barry' Is only slightly disappointed
Lollycake is the best! Its a NZ sweet treat. Malt biscuits, butter, chocolate and Eskimo lollys(they're kind of a hard marshmellow lolly sort of thing)
It’s the “chocolate salami” with soft lollies/candies in it. It’s a bit hard to describe the lollies, a bit like dense marshmallow? Solid biting texture but dissolves in your mouth. Lolly cake is sooo good.
Ginger beer brings back such wonderful memories of my Dad it was his favorite drink. Would love to learn how to make it. Chocolate sausage is a growd pleasure. That sushi bazooka looks like fun. Bazooka is a bubble gum here in Canada.
My first pair of college room-mates and i had an Alexa in the room, and we thought the same thing! We gave it big googly eyes and even nicknamed it wire tap. It was sad when my room-mate had to box it up to move out but saying "Goodbye wire-tap" made it better
Am I the only one that giggled at the "washing the bazooka" line? It sounds like something a guy would shout thru from the en suite to his wife waiting in the bedroom.
LPT- Keep a little satchel of rice in with your sugar to keep it from going all clumpy. I just bundle some rice up in a piece of cheesecloth or muslin.
[] * []Happy Canada Day, Barry. Thank you for your demo on the sushi bazooka! I have seen something like this before, but I had always laughed at it, but after watching you use it, I want one now- hheehh! :D
Ya know what would be awesome out of this? Mash up some bananas, fill each half and press the channel into both sides, then fill the channel with Nutella and freeze... BAM! Chocolate banana pucks!
Chocolate salami is supposed to use Maria / Marietta biscuits, which are very common in continental Europe and Ireland, but strangely hard to find in England. If you cant' get them, use Rich Tea biscuits instead, they're the closest. Also, it's definitely not supposed to have macadamia nuts or fruit peel (and _very_ rarely has cherries). And it's generally done just with egg yolks (not whites) and powdered cocoa (not a chocolate bar). What you did there was kind of the "hawaiian pizza" version of chocolate salami. ;)
I love your new kitchen but I was wondering why you bought such a small microwave....this was your chance to purchase a bigger model... I just love your new oven and range....
Hello. Well now I don't feel so bad because I have had one of those bazookas for 1 1/2 year now and I haven't had a change to test it out yet 😂. Never heard chocolate salami but it looks great and I want to try it now. Very entertaining video. Thanks 👍😀
Do you and your family like pickles?! I have been trying to find a good fried pickle recipe! (Side note: I am not the biggest pickle lover, and I always looked at fried pickles like.. "but why?" and then I had them at a local place around here and I am suddenly hooked! So addictive.) Try with a ranch dressing type dip or even season up some sour cream for a dip o.o
Got ours yesterday and have spend ALL DAY making Kimbap and Sushi... every roll PERFECT! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! For us - we eat Kimbap 3 - 4 times (if not more) per week, this is a game changer! Thanks for the video! Thanks to you we tried ice cream with a brownie & peanut butter centre... OMG it was fantastic and GORGEOUS. One of the absolute best gadgets we've ever gotten (and my buddy's family in South Korea ALL have them). Thanks, Barry! Liked and Subscribed!
That looks amazing! I think it might be pronounced susheezy. Like easy sushi. Cheers and please make a kolache recipe (breakfast rolls filled with sausage) THEY ARE SO GOOD

Hello barry

I've been wanting to buy this! Thanks for demoing it!!
My Virgin Kitchen Kiss from a sushi rose, Barry...?😉
Ginger beer would be good Barry. My favourite is Fever Tree light ginger beer. It would be great if you could do a low sugar version too =D
Supposed to use the plunger (without unlocking the sides) and push (while sides still locked) the filling out. Thus, why it’s called the “bazooka” kind of shooting the filling out of the case. But all in all, I loved the video as always. Keep up the good work, Sir.
As I realize I commented too soon 😂😂. Touché, good sir. 😂😂
They missed a trick with the naming of that thing, I'd have called it the Bazoushi... :P
haha
Niiiice! 😂👍
I think it's supposed to be pronounced "soosh-easy"
oh that's good!
I should work in a marketing department... :D
We’ve had one of these for YEARS, and we love it! We have Japanese students stay with us and we have been known to buy one for them to take home because they love it so much!!
that's awesome was super impressed by it!
Ginger beer recipe would be great Barry!!
thanks I really want to try it!
Also, I really need to make another chocolate salami
those of us who cant drink booze, can do ginger ale..
You should make a t shirt which says: “that has worked an absolute charm”
Or “it’s stonking”
I don't know if you realise this, but every time something works the way it's supposed to (and I'm going to speak for millions of strangers right now), we do a tiny YAY! I'm so proud of you! You did the thing!!!
When you succeed with a gadget, we all succeed at life for even just a few minutes.
Barry, no, Barry, don't open it up, it's a bazooka! Plunge it out!
That's about the best thing I've seen you make on here! The sushi was well cool!
OH! Don't get me wrong. There is no right or wrong way to enjoy sushi! :) Just letting him know the typical use for it in case he wasn't aware.
I was gonna say the same thing. I'm not gonna lie though, I buy ginger and eat it out of the jar all the time with no sushi at all haha.
There is another one where you put rice and filling then shake it to mold then slide the nori from a slot and shake again to wrap!. Really cool!
FYI instead of the jarkey, at my house we've been using a knife to do the same thing for years already. A butterknife is the safest but one with a pointy tip works aswell.
I have the sushi-make-thing too! I LOVE IT. It took some practise, but works great. I often make sushi, and this made it a lot easier!
Love this video. I think it's meant to be pronounced 'susheasy' EZI =easy 😀😀😀😀
Keep up the stellar work.
Richard Castro-Parker came here to comment this, but thought that since it's been a day since it was posted, someone else would've caught it too. Glad I'm not alone lol. I've seen several reviews and they all call it the sush-easy.

Awesome gadget. The Seal bit was hilarious!
To join nori and close it use some rice and smush/smear it across. It holds better then water.
Literally ordered this after watching, excited to try it!
Barry! You’ve got to try Lollie Cake! It’s an NZ staple 🇳🇿
i'd never heard of it before!
Agreed! It’s so gooooood, malt biscuits and Eskimo lollies with coconut! Would definitely recommend it!
Luke Chandler Yes!! You will love Lolly cake
Lolly cake is the bomb
Google it
I have always wanted to make sushi but never known how to this will help me out loads thanks for the great video 😁
When you first reviewed the Jar key I liked the idea so much I bought everyone one for Christmas haha!
Barry, hi. Guy that makes sushi a lot here. That is . WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much rice, mate.
Mr. Mystery Right? Also the ginger insertion made me die a little
Food isn't law. You can do whatever you want...
@@XxMeatShakexX , yes you can. Just like you could drive on the wrong side of the road if you wanted to. You just have to be prepared for the consequences of your actions.
I'm ready, dad, let's rock!
I'm pretty sure "too much rice in sushi" vs "car accident" isn't nearly on the same level there mate
I JUST bought this 2 days ago! This thing is amazing. It lets you avoid arguably the worst part of sushi making; spreading the rice on the nori. Just ordered myself one cant wait! love a bit of sushi but failed miserably with the bamboo mat thing

my mouth just went like this ":O" when that sushi came out! what a gadget!
Hears 'Chocolate Salami', gets excited. Thinks Barry will do something like a Sanguinaccio dolce, and thinks 'bold choice, Barry'
Is only slightly disappointed
It's a sushi popper! Perfect for making logs! Seriously, I would like to see a ginger beer video.
You make it look so easy!!
Have you ever thought about doing antique gadgets in the kitchen and olde time recipes? That would be awesome!
Lollycake is the best! Its a NZ sweet treat. Malt biscuits, butter, chocolate and Eskimo lollys(they're kind of a hard marshmellow lolly sort of thing)
*gasp* I have to get this!! Thanks for reviewing it! I always have a hard time rolling sushi the regular way. :D
I would love to see a ginger beer video, its one of my favorite drinks
Now I want Sushi. Thanks, Barry!
Did you know that the ginger is NOT supose to be eat in the sushi, its a palate cleaner for between different type of sushi. I didn't know either
Very colourful yummy looking sushi!

"Lolly cake...whatever that is..."
As a New Zealander, that hurts man, that really hurts xD
the Bluebaerry can you describe lollicake to me please as i haven't heard of it.
It’s the “chocolate salami” with soft lollies/candies in it. It’s a bit hard to describe the lollies, a bit like dense marshmallow? Solid biting texture but dissolves in your mouth. Lolly cake is sooo good.
YES. Make a ginger beer recipe
I want that in my life
Ginger beer brings back such wonderful memories of my Dad it was his favorite drink. Would love to learn how to make it. Chocolate sausage is a growd pleasure. That sushi bazooka looks like fun. Bazooka is a bubble gum here in Canada.
Bazooka Joes, we used to get them here in the uk too
That is a pretty cool gadget. If it helps making sushi easier, it's a good thing. Cheers Barry!

I absolutely love ginger beer. Would be a great video.
Well impressed with that!
I'd love to see a ginger beer recipe and how to. It's a favorite of mine also.
Yay perfect end for my weekend thanks Barry
Yes please make ginger beer Barry! I'd love to be able to make it myself as well, since I'm obsessed with it and it's impossible to find where I live.
Barry I would argue it doesn’t matter if Alexa is turned on or not, our phones are already listening so 🤷🏻♀️
*throws phone away* ..... *then slowly goes and picks it up*
which is why I'm sticking to my 2006 flip-phone - even if it tried listen to everything I say it would run out of memory in like ten minutes.
My first pair of college room-mates and i had an Alexa in the room, and we thought the same thing! We gave it big googly eyes and even nicknamed it wire tap. It was sad when my room-mate had to box it up to move out but saying "Goodbye wire-tap" made it better
Great job on that sushi! It looked so sush-ezi!
ahh, this has made my sunday evening!
Am I the only one that giggled at the "washing the bazooka" line? It sounds like something a guy would shout thru from the en suite to his wife waiting in the bedroom.
Barry! You have got to the make the lolly cake! It's basically a stable here in nz to eat. It's so good.
LPT- Keep a little satchel of rice in with your sugar to keep it from going all clumpy. I just bundle some rice up in a piece of cheesecloth or muslin.
YES to the ginger beer. Do it!! :)
A ginger beer recipe would be so cool I love ginger beer, keep up the good work.

Mash up some bananas, fill each half and press the channel into both sides, then fill the channel with Nutella and freeze...
BAM! Chocolate banana pucks!
Barry, how about a comparison review of slush puppie machine vs snow cone machine (ice crusher) perfect for the summer holidays
I swear you did this already. I am hundred percent sure..you even mentioned how you did your own homemade sushi.. I even remember the sushi you made.
Yes yes yes please. I want to know how to make ginger beer. Or other ginger recipes. Cool sushi video. Thanks.
Yes ginger beer!!! I freaking love ginger beer!!!! Please make that video
Oh yes. I love ginger beer. Please do a video about it, Barry.

Gotta say I love your videos man, I love trying out your recipes, whether they work or not. I still think you should be on Bake-off
Would definitely like to see how you get on making ginger beer.
Here for Boston!!! 🤩🐶❤
Oh. And you too Barry! 👋😂
I love your new kitchen but I was wondering why you bought such a small microwave....this was your chance to purchase a bigger model... I just love your new oven and range....
your videos are stonking barry!
Hello. Well now I don't feel so bad because I have had one of those bazookas for 1 1/2 year now and I haven't had a change to test it out yet 😂. Never heard chocolate salami but it looks great and I want to try it now. Very entertaining video. Thanks 👍😀
Soooooooo satisfying
Ginger beer would be perfect video!

You should try mosaic sushi. Such a cool presentation.
Gingerbeer! Yes, please! 😍🤤
"Washing the bazooka" hey Barry!?- there's a euphemism is haven't heard before!😏😁😉😱

Barry, have you ever tried the other sushi maker, I believe it's called Daiso Rice Roll Shaker? Not entirely sure. Love the videos!!!
would love to see the ginger beer stuff mate
How about a Ginger Beer Float with homemade ice cream, that would go down a treat in this heat
i was gonna put on the notification bell when i realized that im not even subscribed. i am shame
I’d love to see a ginger beer recipe please!
Thank you for the amazing video!!!
Barry, I recommend you to listen madness, it's a British band, really good, I think it's your style
Absolutely you should make ginger beer. Be careful it doesn't explode (or don't use stoneware bottles)
For sure do the ginger beer!
Wow, the rice layer on that sushi is way too thick.
Haven’t got to the end yet, so maybe you will think of it in a minute, but I’m sure you are meant to say it like soosh-eezy like easy?
I actually look forward to hearing you say "I hope you are well."
That looks amazing! I think it might be pronounced susheezy. Like easy sushi. Cheers and please make a kolache recipe (breakfast rolls filled with sausage) THEY ARE SO GOOD
Yes I'd love to see a recipe for ginger beer
Ginger beer would be amazing!
Gadget is super neat
Barry, nice job. By the way, wet the knife before slicing the sushi, glides through like a hot knife through butter. Spud
