"Todo el día estuve sentado, al menos me relaje y no pensé tanto en mis problemas" En este caso puedes usar, pero y complementar de la misma forma "Todo el día estuve sentado, pero me relaje y no pensé tanto en mis problemas"
El punto es que se puede usar en todo tipo de situaciones y no lo había visto de manera social.
