That chick can’t be picky when making a request like that. And who faces a tv against a window lol. It also looks like she does stuff for ticktock with that huge selfie light and that weird swing. Chances are she isn’t gonna listen because she wants a good ticktock angle for her videos.
I've always struggled with Feng shui because I grew up in a place that was uhhhhhhh to put it nicely a borderline hoarder house, where you have to move like 8 things just to even reach the furniture, but I've gotten really into these concepts in recent years now that I have more control over my environment, it's amazing how much changing the layout of a room just a bit can drastically change your mood.
Your videos are so insightful. I would love to see you go into detailed fen shui, for example how to decorate a bookcabinet. Or what type of combinations you advice items, material and size. This in regards to area with functions, like tv furniture, kitchen, bathroom. Even with a fung shui lay out, I’ve seen you combine and declutter making areas look so calming and harmonious. Love to see more of your insights.
I thought I misheard “the sex chair” but then Cliff mentions it again in his redesign (“not the sex chair, but a nice chair”). Count on Cliff to throw subtle shade so cheerfully you almost miss it. 😂
Dude, she kept moving it so freaking fast that I had to go back several times just to SEE her floor space! She definitely Buys based on Random Feelings and Emotions. NONE of her Items MATCH each other NOR the ROOM ITSELF. It was APPALLING!!! She complaining about the shape is awkward. The space isn't bad. HOW she used it IS bad! A HANGER in the MIDDLE of the ROOM?! Two Tables Next to One another?! Did she grow up in a Jungle? In a Garage?! What in the World!!! The PATIENCE he has just to even do this is amazing!
I have to wonder if there are technical reasons why she did not want to move the tv. Other than the fact that it looks like it is already mounted on the wall, there may be outlet issues. I know there is very likely a "better" layout for my apartment, but running extension cords (and/or cord covers) all over the place doesn't exactly help with the flow.
I was thinking exactly about this... at my desk I have to sit with my back to the door because of the outlets' positions, and the TV is right in front of the window for the same reason (and yes there's glare, but what am I going to do about it?)
It's honestly just a lazy excuse. You can easily use cable management gutters and such to work a wire wherever you want without it being "in the way", or hiring a professional to just drill a hole in the wall and create a new outlet.
Exactly! There are so many creative ways to manage and hide cables - you don't have to live with the shitty layouting decisions of the people who built the space
@@CasparAbelmann those were solutions I hadn't considered, but there's really no need to call people lazy without knowing their room layout or general situation.
I've been rearranging my own room recently and yeah, there's really not that many options when it comes down to it. The hardest part is deciding to throw out something you really just can't fit in properly.
I actually put my couch sideways to the fireplace (I never use it). I had it facing the fireplace before but it wasn’t in the command position as the front door was behind me. Now I can see the front door and fireplace and I like it so much better personally.
This channel makes me wonder what feng shui would be like for different animals. Such as cast, dogs of different breeds or sizes, and even the bigger animals that typically aren’t expected in a house such as a cow, deer, or horse. I imagine they would all have different views of what good feng shui is. Not only due to their varying sizes, but also due to their biology and psychology. I imagine that cats would enjoy rooms that they can be active in. Things like furniture placement and orientation would probably matter a lot to them. Not to mention that windows are pretty much their version of a tv. For dogs I imagine their preferences would vary wildly. Given that variety that dog breeds change their biology and psychology. But I feel like as a whole they’d enjoy spaces that feel communal and open/accommodating. Given their pack bonding nature and love for those they care about regardless of species. For horses/cows however, I must admit that I don’t know much about how they think or enjoy moving. Although I imagine horses and cows would both enjoy rooms which have one entrance and exit with said entrance/exit being easily accessible for them. I think they’d also enjoy furniture that doesn’t restrict or block their movement. Meaning total redesigns for our furniture and likely very oddly shaped rooms designed with said furniture in mind. I know I put a lot of thought into this, but I just found it interesting and thought I’d share the train of thought with this community. To see your reactions. What do you think animals would value in feng shui if they cared about it?
I agree about cats, and would also like to add they'd probably adore cozy narrow bedrooms to squeeze into and feel secure, while enjoying larger elevated spaces to run up and lounge in as they look out their windows. A lot of lofted furniture, smaller two story homes with nice balconies to sun bathe in and large yards to explore. 😁
I have several terrariums with snakes and lizards, I will probably add a large aquarium, in which room would you put these animals so that they will have a good effect on the apartment if I don't have a special place for them ♡ love your videos 😁
Out of curiosity, does feng shui have applications for outdoor spaces as well as indoors? As someone looking to start a career in landscape design soon, I’d absolutely love if you could do something on this!
I feel like the answer is yes, but you have so much more freedom since it's literally an open space, you could almost do whatever you want! As long as it makes sense though :)
Thank you for the video, greatly appreciated it. Your design ideas are so sensible once you rearrange the furniture pieces. Do you have videos of you designing the house blueprints before the construction faux pas begin? ☮️🖖
I feel like people put their tv in the same spot where the previous tenant had Comcast drill the hole in the wall for the cable and it doesn't matter if it's a bad spot. It just seems like such a pain having to get Comcast to come back and put it where you want it.
This is fascinating. Persoanlly, I might adjust the couch to be a bit more centerer on the TV, and maybe have the two chairs curve towards the fireplace itself, intead of just facing the wall.
I thought the same thing, at first, but then I thought that might bring the couch too close to the entry blocking off the most direct pathway from the entry to the sitting area and force the movement around the room the longer way to be seated. I don't know if that's a factor in Feng shui. I'm just fascinated by Feng shui and absorbing bits and pieces from videos like his. Could be worth a shot.
@@carmenferkovich6036 I don't think it'd hurt to nudge the couch a few feet. Still leave good walking space, just nudge the couch a bit to allow the fireplace chairs to curve in and better view TV.

Nice breakdown! Where can I get these tiny furnitures? I would really like to try some layouts for my home office, and the actual furniture would help a lot. Thanks!
Many years ago I did the floor plan of my room and my sister's room in paper, draw the furniture we had (exact scale size), cut it with scissors and then moved them all over the place until we managed to find the best distribution for our room. Now i have an app in my android phone (Floor plan creator), and there I draw everything and use the 3d option to see how it looks :D
I've been searching for them online. I think they're the 1 to 50 ratio models, but I would also like to know what's the best place to purchase them from.
I'm curious to know if the connections to the television are the reason that it can't be moved. Is there anything besides expensive rewiring that can be done?
the layout you show is much better but i still dont like that whoever sits in the right corner of the sofa or on the chairs will have a very bad view of the tv
