    His arms movement is so natural that sometimes it looks like he is running in slow motion, seriously, just compare it with the rest of the runners, completely out of this world

      Best running stride ever, period. Just so fascinating to watch. I spend a lot of time watching and comparing. His heel kick is so high and energetic. There is a key element in the contact time on the ground and the elasticity which is analyzed in some videos about the 'Tribal Kenians Jumping'.

    I am so glad I found your channel! Very good! Never add music. Keep it exactly how it is! I like hearing your voice in the background as you talk to the runners. Low-key but informative and we get to see how the Pros train. What you are doing is very much appreciated; please keep it up! 👍
    Unlike another channel, you don't wait 4 years to post videos with misleading titles! (I won't talk badly about FloTrack!) 😜

    Their cadences aren't that much faster than a "normal" runner, but their proportional stride length is so much longer, and they push off with ~SO~ much force.
    Just shows what working your ass off can do. Elite distance is something else

    They are speaking three languages interchangeably.. Kalenjin, Swahili and English. Not to throw shade but majority of them can't really make it in Kenya as pros (plan A for most runners); it's too competitive out here in places like Iten and Kaptagat..but of those that chose this plan B (getting athletic scholarships in US colleges), they're among the best here who stuck with it (mostly) to get citizenship via the US army. Although, their results also show how much support and infrastructure (and their hardwork) plays an important role in exploring innate talent.

    • @lisbonapartments7203
      @lisbonapartments7203 3 года назад +1

      That was probably going into the well.
      This workout so close to the trials is just to sharpen a bit, keep the legs moving. That is likely why they added the 200m repeats at the end, to add stimulus instead of volume.
      They could probably do around 8 to 10 repeats in around 1:58-2:00 during the heavy mileage phase.
      Remember his 5000m pace is around 2:04 per 800m, he needs to be able to run 60 lap pace reasonably relaxed.

      1. Drive the knees
      2. Find something to lean against practice step hill runs and keep hips up.
      3 run easy and often
      4. Keep quads flexible, so you will have the long butt kicking stride.

Por isso a diferença, um treina específico para provas curtas, logo o tiro dele e mais rapido que o de um maratonista.
