*Found this through a RUclips video **enjoyable.fishing** recommend does exactly what its meant to do. Very durable and no hang-ups at all surprisingly*
I have been working with mixing the floating plastic in the back of injected swim baits with sinking in the belly. Because of the density of the sinking plastic I started thinking that it might be possible to "control" sink rates as well as making a weightless setup right itself quickly. It works well with injected baits, but the blend is pretty much set by the mold cavity I just bought a bunch of hand pour molds for swim and jerk baits that I plan to play with in an effort to come up with some ratios that give somewhat predictable results. Being a river fisherman, buoyancy is a big part of the game when drifting plastic through a riffle or run. A side benefit I think might come from this with the jerk baits is less line twist. Any way, great video! Really like the idea
I found your channel because of Nate's octopus mold but been binging on your vids till I pass out... Been thinking about trying to get into it, but was wondering if you can make silicone molds out of a pre-existing soft baits to replicate them?
Honestly I don't see why you couldn't do it . you may have to play with some different latex hardness to make your own molds depending on hand pour or injection
Tasty looking baits, I believe that the small amount of floating will be very effective to just give the fish a hint on where to look for them in the silt/vegetation
Those craws look amazing can you see what happens if you go 1/4th of the way up the bodies on these worms from the tail with the floating with 3/4 body with the sinking? I think thatd give you some amazing strikes.
I would consider making a few that sink in back and float in the front. Dying my minnows are often angled head up so it might make a good bait to put right in front of a fish that won't hit something else.
Wonder if you put the floating plastic on the craws up to the first portion of the body then a sinking plastic on the bottom, would they almost stand straight up?
Nice try Chris! ;) I'm not sure if if just injecting part of bait from floating would result in the desired effect. I suppose the tiny jighead weight plays the magic part for a bait injected entirely from floating blend. Perhaps after you got back safely from your trip you could do a quick test yourself and enlighten us on the result. :) Anyway, thanks for your efforts!
Great vid, cool stuff. Go ahead and rant...lol...fun to listen to. My son and I do something similar with a grub. We shoot the tail with floating worm plastic and the body with sinking Swimbait plastic. The softer tail gives great action, while the sturdier Swimbait plastic keeps the bait on the jig hook better.
Yeah that'd a good point..the sinking stuff holds a hook better..and then you get the benefit of the floating tail. Great observation..I should have mentioned that.
That is an amazing shade of blue with that hologram flake. Would love to send some cool supplies your way some time. Have a lot of unique and usual mica colors and glitters and such that you might have fun with.
World's Worst Fishing hit me up with a shipping address and I’ll send some stuff your way! My email is that.monster.xerxes@gmail.com so you don’t share shipping info publicly.
Great Job as usual. I would like to see you catching fish with all these baits you make. And some underwater footage to see how all this colors actually look, and at different depths. But I'm a fan, keep up the good work.
Mr Jones I got another suggestion for you... U should try to make some firetail worms like grape firetail or black firetail feel like you’ll kill it brother god bless u man
I like this idea. Sinking body and floating tails this will be an awesome combination. My guess is your fishing with Big Show so be sure to post up some videos of your trip and borrow some of his gator tail worm molds lol.
I know that this is an older video, but whenever you said facetious I automatically blurted out “good word Brother”. One of my English teachers in high school was a religious brother, and whenever he used a fancy word he would stop what he was doing and then say “good word Brother” to comment himself on sounding fancy. Just thought I would let you know that you gave me a chuckle.
Have you ever thought of molding soft plastic tails around a treble hook shank? Something like a curlytail grub would serve as a nice trailer on a crankbait. Replace the factory stock treble hook with a curlytail soft plastic grub treble hook. Match the size of the plastic trailer to the hook size. I guarantee these would be popular, in large sizes, with muskie fishermen. This would be something I'd be interested in doing myself but I don't know enough about making molds to design one that would mold plastic around a treble hook shank. So I suggest it to you.
Thanks for the reply. I hope you give the idea some thought and come up with a workable way to do it. I mentioned crankbaits but spoons, spinners, spinnerbaits, rattlebaits, minnow baits, jerkbaits, blade baits, etc. could all have a treble hook with an added soft plastic trailer on it. You could start the market for it.
would love to see a swim bait made with the floating plastisol and see if it would stay on the surface and see the paddle tail kick on the surface... DO IT! LOL...
@@WorldsWorstFishing maybe try single color and or go half way up bait w floating....tail kinda thin compared to the body. Same w craws. Bet would stand right up. Keep up the awesome work man love the vids
Have a great day everyone...thanks for tuning in today.
you too have a great day.
good looking worms btw :)
@@shortround889 still feeling kinda fatigued...but hope I'll be much better this weekend.
Always enjoy your content.
Very cool man. Those look good! 👍👍

Glad I was one of the viewers who suggested this. Always wondered how it would turn out. You did a great job even though you got that nasty storm

Where do you get the 7" ribbon tail worm molds from?
It hasnt rained like normal this spring I miss the hard rains.
Great video Chris, love the idea!!!! Endless possibilities. Keep casting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just realized....10k subs in 5 months!?!?!?! That is awesome! Hope it continues to explode. 👊
thank you...me too ha
Tasty looking baits, I believe that the small amount of floating will be very effective to just give the fish a hint on where to look for them in the silt/vegetation
Yeah they are sexy lookin worms haha
The Rage Tail Anacondas would work awesome with the floating tails. The tails are half the length of the worms.
Beautiful baits (as usual). Seems like those floating tails would create some wicked action. 👍👊🎣
Yes they definitely look good I think
Those worms look nice! I really like those crawfish though! Can't wait for the next video!
thank you sir!!
Hey Chris great video man, love the punch bug and worm. Was wondering are they Angling AI molds as well.
these are basstackle molds
Nice, thanks man I always enjoy watching the videos!
Definitely going to be able to catch some fish on those. Combination floating sinking plastic or not they look great!
Having a floating tail on finesse worms (like the zoom trickworm/shaky head style worms) I think would be dope!!!!
yes agree!

Might work well in a smaller fluke type bait or something rigged weightless...good idea
Yeah that is what I was thinking, throw something right to them that will look like a easy snack.
I'd like to see different colors of craws like okeechobee, bama bug and summer craw
My boys love watching your channel and now want to make their own plastics. Where do you get your molds from?
Wonder if you put the floating plastic on the craws up to the first portion of the body then a sinking plastic on the bottom, would they almost stand straight up?

Those colors and plastics in a core shot worm mold should make an interesting bait
yes indeed!

Another great video! Any bass colors you like that use Carolina pumpkin as a base?
Looking good
Have fun this weekend

@@JTAKayakFishing not at all man!
You should get a test tank
Mr Jones I got another suggestion for you...
U should try to make some firetail worms like grape firetail or black firetail feel like you’ll kill it brother god bless u man
can you mix plastisol? or would that have an adverse reaction?
Mix away! Never had an issue before. Just always be safe with hot plastic.
I think those crawfish would be very effective in my area with the floating pinchers that would definitely give them some good action
Great video thank you sir for sharing cheers🍻
Great vid! What color and brand of blue is that? Also do u got any tube molds? Would love to see a tube vid.
lureworks phthalo blue..tubes coming soon actually.
If you don’t mind me asking where did you get your ribbon worm molds
these cam from basstackle
what 7" ribbon tail mold do you use?
Can’t help but to think what if you cut the tail right before the first rib in the mold would it stand up even more?
yeah proabbly so...almost half and half
I like this idea. Sinking body and floating tails this will be an awesome combination. My guess is your fishing with Big Show so be sure to post up some videos of your trip and borrow some of his gator tail worm molds lol.
yeah i'll have tons of footage from the weekend!
Where do you get your molds and did they make molds for making crappie bites
For crappie baits def look at jacobs baits
Did they sell the molds
how can a craw be made with floating pinchers using an air pocket like the yamamato physcho dad?
I know that this is an older video, but whenever you said facetious I automatically blurted out “good word Brother”. Which worm mold is that?
New to the channel. Awesome work! I would love to get information to get some of the watermelon candy and blue tail worms from you.
Do that with craws, have the claws float
So is there a guide on how to make the colors or is it just trial and error?
triar and error for me...might be a guide somewhere but I dont have one..my channel is sort of a guide
I feel like if you added the blue further up the body it would cause it to stand a bit better.
Are you going to use the craw body with watermelon candy claws?
That is cool! ohhhh a floating frog with sinking legs.

Yeah i'll be around!! Down near San Mateo actually
Do you sell these?? From Kentucky

Floating body frog with sinking legs might be worth a try. Just trying to picture how a frog rests in the water.
Hi. What injectors do you have??
what if you did a core shot with sinking outside and floating inside. suspend maybe?
Yeah you're probably right
Great content! Would love to order some baits from you.
I’m going to guess “Big Show” Terry Scroggins and Josh Clark.
Hello it’s me again different account same guy that asked about the popper and panfish lures
Glad you tried my suggestion🤟
yeah no problem! I'm gonna put them in the tank again and see if the tails stand up better after curing fully..im kinda curious about that.
@@WorldsWorstFishing maybe try single color and or go half way up bait w floating....tail kinda thin compared to the body. Same w craws. Bet would stand right up. Keep up the awesome work man love the vids
Great video man
thank you
The flake probably weighs them down some, maybe go lighter with the mix in the floating portion.
yeah you are probably correct.
the floating tail might be nice for dead sticking
Do a 7 in ribbon tail worm with a black with red flake body and a gold tail
that sounds pretty cool!
Cool color I think if u use blue color worm with all that glitter would be great and look really cool bossman but that is fantastic color
yeah I love the blue with the flashy glitter
Want to see you do this on grass grenade 🤯.
Yeah that would be cool as well
I wonder if microspheres would add any more buoyancy?
Yes they do...I still need to try those
Do it with a craw n have the arms float
Very nice!
Never had much luck with blue
come to florida...blue is verrrry effective
Is that why Marling hasn't uploaded recently 😉
he is making a boatload of soft plastics for his site. if you follow him on insta you can see them or on his website.
Well I will say that my trip this weekend does not include Nate unfortunately...but its gonna be some great content hopefully.
I'm waiting to see that swimbait he was working on
The deeper the water the more those tails will float. Even in 3 feet of water those tails will really float
that;s cool to know!
NVM u beat me to it
Oh....nvm
nothing wrong at all with a blue worm
Are you sponsored by dead on?
I am "supported" by dead on...I started using their products and never looked back...they took notice and got behind me.
Soooo..... Josh and scott?
