    Hey Merrill, I always hunt in high recovery 5-7, high sensitivity 23+, Medium to slow speed of swing in trashy parks. Higher sensitivity and slower swing speed makes up for the loss of depth due to higher separation, but still allows you to separate those deep targets out. Always home in on those promising squiks. This set up clears and amplifies these targets when they are good. All metal will add depth and clarity to signal.

    I think mystery windscreen scraper is a lady's suspender clip from a suspender belt.. The wee teeth gripped the top of the stocking. Some woman had a bad day in the park, and her suspender/ stocking arrangements went ping! :)

    Awesome video as always! Was really hoping your friend would have given you the subway token you are missing. After all you gave him an Indian and it would have been nice. I was expecting to see it but he probably just wasn't paying attention when you told him it was the only one you didn't have lol.Seemed like a good enough guy though. Greetings from Da Nang Vietnam where the beach detecting is so cool. I actually learned so much about how to detect the beach from your vids. Many thanks brother

    You should grab one of those full size digging tools if you're going to be going so deep every target.

    Spring 🌹🥀🌼🌱 is almost upon us!! The buttons you found are beauties; I sure hope you'll be able to get them identified ☺ Congrats on the ring find, what is your ring total so far, for 2020? Y'all don't empty out that park before I can get there to hunt with you, okay 👍😀

    Keep meaning to ask...Do you guys need permits? to hunt NY parks - beaches

    • @helenbryan1752
      @helenbryan1752 4 года назад

      We need a NYC metal detecting permit. There are some restrictions, like Prospect Park can only be detected Saturday and Sunday.

    my favorite equinox coil is the 6 inch it can get similar depth to the standard 11 inch but depth is a very overrated factor. Separation is the thing you really want especially in trashy or thrashed sites. I have also noticed that with a faster recovery speed the swing speed can be increased also which actually increases depth .Just try a normal swing speed with a recovery speed of 7 and when you find a signal that sounds week from depth increase your swing speed to a fast whip over the target and you may notice that the strength of the signal improves.

    Sorry Merrill ..... they are all wrong !! Back in the day, men had garter straps that wrapped around their legs just below the knee to hold up their socks. In the days before we had elastic materials.

    So.. mr teacher, chat maker man.
    I still struggle with what signals to dig...
    What does a Indian head ring up as? Or a 2 cent piece... or a buffalo head..
    I need to know!!
    Thanks!

      On the Nox: Indian head 16-17......2 cent piece 20-22 ......buffalo Nickel 12

      I have IHs at 19-20 but only if the signal is deep (8+ inches) otherwise you get a zinc penny. 12-13 for all nickels even the silver ones. Expect a two cent in the mid 20s but I have not dug one yet. Silver dimes go from 25 to 27; silver quarters or better at 29-30+
