I cannot stop watching. Their body language, their concentration, the way they glance at each other for clues, the way they play while listening, it just makes me a little envious that I will never be able to experience what it feels to be so much inside the music. This concert has much to do with energy, lightness and youth. This ensemble is just perfect. Congratulations!

Of course it's Abbey Road lol, I was just thinking how incredible of a set-up that was and how pristine the recording was. Those engineers know what they're doing. This is wonderful. Hate to admit it, but I'm here because of Bach-had no idea his bwv 1065 was Vivaldian!

If I may, I think Vivaldi's version is superior. Which is a weird thing for me to say, since I adore Bach. But Vivaldi too. To me there was something about 1065 that never convinced me - for once I think Vivaldi was way more focused and consistent throughout this concert.
Listen to this passage, Vivaldi is repeating the progression, keeping it in minor, and unrelentingly increasing tension through repetition and dynamics (3:01), while Bach decides to forgo repetition, and writes ornamental and variational passages, sometimes even with hints of major, that just don't deliver the same level of tension and consistency (ruclips.net/video/vLY6gMiJWCk/видео.html, at 2 minutes and 55 sec).
When it comes to the use of instrumentation to deliver emotion, they're both stars, but Vivaldi is a rockstar :)

It's a beautiful sound. It's one of those common traps though that the louder the group gets the faster the tempo gets and the quieter the slower it tends to get. Some of that is natural but especially in the last mvt it gets a little silly.
